Men want a woman who helps financially in the home but when they meet such a woman in the labor industry, all they can think about is how to manipulate and lay her. Take advantage and use her.

kaeto: the old lies your fathers tell still selling. No ethnic or religious sentiment yet the Igbos were denied an international airport, employment in government parastatals and ministries, no federal presence in the East of the south, oppression and supression by the use of the army and police, no Igbo man was qualified to head the army or police but now we are beating the best of you in open, free and fair competitions, oil wells shared among hausas and yorubas, only 1 Igbo minister (jim nwobodo-minister of sports) in abacha's regime, not even a functional airport, i see. The JONATHAN administration has come to stay- love or hate it, the guy has favoured the Igbos- hug transformer. Only a foolish Igbo man will believe what you wrote there, and be kind to come to your senses as this post will be your guide. It's tribalism only when perpetrated by Jonathan, God help you people. just name one institution build and funtioning by gej??im and igbo no sentiment |

Only if they would understand that the US is a world of the elite, and not a place for lazy fat "azz" most of those guys complaining would never amount to anything if they were in Nigeria anyway, because it's tougher here. Good morning sir. US is a capitalist country build on strong conservative ideology, the rich only for the rich |

stevewale: @ OP: in as much as I agree with you, I also understand what Afam4ever's argument is. I think OP should have said it this way that if you have a good job here which pays you like 250k and above, then its better for u to remain here and possibly just go to US for vacation (cos there are instances of pple with well paying jobs here quiting their jobs for US and only to get there to know that their certificates and experiences aren't relevant there). As for Afam4ever's point, I can CATEGORICALLY tell that he's right. Its better to be an husler there and get $10/hr without any certificate rather than being a graduate here and earn 80k per month... I work in Oil & Gas industry and my wife is there (I can't quit my job and stay there permanently).
So guys, make informed decisions if u have a good job but if not, I beg clinch US visa asap if u get d chance o you can live in nigeria like a middle class with 100k everymonth with your family, and you are better off than somebody in us with 2000$ a month.the cost of living in us with family na die ooo |

anonimi: "OBJoke and dos past presidents" are the worst ROLE MODELS you can cite for anyone to stay back in Nigeria. Are they not the reason why our country is the hell hole it is and almost everyone is trying to get out even if it means risking death across the sahara desert or in some sinking canoe on the mediterenean sea.
Part of the reason for the illusion of America is that we value just being rich on our own instead of valuing the impact we have on others and our society in terms of contributing to its enduring growth & socio-economic development. Personal wealth should be a means to an end- of positively and durably impacting others. Is this not the main difference between our society and theirs where we run to on point ,self centeredness is killing the country |

Afam4eva: Funny and on point response...
I've discovered that a lot of Diasporan Nigerian have a way of dissuading other from leaving Nigeria by telling them how things are not rosy as they think. Why not leave them to go find out themselves. Afterall before you traveled people told you the same thing but you travelled anyways. As far as i'm concerned, Nigerians can survive anywhere. Whether in far away Australia, Cold Canada, Racist America, secessionist Britain or skin head prone Russia or Ukraine. I have an acquaintance who when he was in Nigeria, was feeding from hand to mouth and squatting with friends. He found his way to Greece and from there hustled his way to Italy and now the guy has sent a couple of cars to his family in Nigeria to sell for him. That's something he probably couldn't have gotten in Nigeria no matter how hard he tried because he doesn't even have a secondary school cert(or so i think). So, no matter how bad those places are, they're way better than Nigeria. All these suffer head Nigerians have to do is to put half the energy they put hustling in Nigeria in those foreign country and they will live a decent life over there. People are suffering in this country and will kill to get a visa to kosovo. so if he buy´s car his are rich?? |

Gbawe: Even health insurance is unlikely to give the "common man" access to this sort of hospital. I would not have bothered commenting on the deception of the OP, because that is what GEJ fans do in their quest to 'steal' achievements, but reasonable posters like you deserve to know the truth.
This is a Turkish private hospital purely for the rich and an example of the capitalist 'reform' of medicine that globalisation has brought. I.e a business model that essentially see any group , if professional and organised, setting up ultra-modern and well-staffed hospital anywhere in the world exclusively for the patronage of the rich. Very lucrative niche market delivery
This is precisely the same as how the previously uber traditional and conservative British NHS has embraced a new agenda of delivering outreach medical care in places like Dubai, Qatar et al for ridiculously rich clients who will pay a fortune for local treatment they previously travelled to the UK for. This model is not for ordinary Nigeria and has nothing to do with the Government.
This is a hospital, with origin in Turkey, built on a model which is as private and as elitist as such is. It is primarily situated in Abuja to take advantage of the super-rich who travel abroad to pay a fortune for treatment. Check out the medical staff yourself to see it is like 70% Turkish.

The rich too have to live so I think this is a positive development but I wonder why Nigerian Doctors in the diaspora, many very talented specialist who claim to love Nigeria, cannot do something like this. Can they not see the opportunity?

kpofkpof: I choose to remain quiet with respect to your insults rather than dignify you by responding. The problem with youths these days is that they do not make informed decision. They join the band wagon. That is why we are where we are today.
Why should I boast with N375k? When people are earning millions monthly Who am I trying to impress on this faceless forum. Do you know anyone by the name 'kpofkpof'? I can reveal what I feel is necessary because you do not know me.
I quoted the salary because I need intelligent people who read in between the lines to make informed decision. When you need to purchase something, especially a depreciating asset like a car or even a phone- you need to know how much comes in; if it is something that requires maintenance and its durtability.
I won't be so stupid to take one third of my pay to get something if I can get value of that same thing for a lesser value. Most people with the samsung S4 acquired same using the MTN device acquisition scheme. Go to Diamond and stanbic bank and see how people are making money for the bank (of course the bank will charge you interest on those things). Who is deceiving who.
I also stated I work in a bank so that when advising me, the intelligent person will put into consideration that assuming he or she is one of my big time clients and I'm trying to seal a deal of hundreds of millions and then my phone rings and lo and behold it is a Tecno phone. How will the person feel seeing that we have become so vain in this country.
You went further to say that I'm a 'HE' trying to scam people- I'm proudly a SHE and a very beautiful one at that.
On a final note - you said you will like to know the bank that pays 'such an amount' as salary. My guy this goes to say you are not informed at all. Go do your findings. Seems all the bank workers you know work with microfinance banks.
You will still be here in Nairaland hating people who obviously are doing better than you while the people you are hating will be going from glory to glory. I bet you will be here abusing people and then the day I tell you that I now earn 1million monthly, 4million quartely and 15million as profit sharing-then the grey mattar in your medula oblongata will explode because of envy.
Keep hating. Keep it up.
Peace! stupid answer ego busting |

These are the issues. This issue is specific and not general about the government. If this man, Wizee is given a specific assignment to carry out, he is sure to do just the opposite of the assignment! The thread is just a paragraph (9 lines) yet he is talking of a different issue.
