If he is serious about daring the president, let him come to Nigeria and stop hiding in cyberspace. Let a court take him to the cleaners. He will be in jail for a long long time
Even in a British or American court, Sahara Wil still go to jail because they publish crap stories. Just that the FG does not need to give them that much relevance you are part of those who are distroying that country,,hypocracy,sentiment,trabalism,ignorance is killing this country |

Some already spun the wheel of lies that the president went on a medical checkup, all the while he's been in Abuja, does he travel for medical checkup? Politics › Re: Jega Should Resign And Jonathan Should Appoint Dora Akinyuli As INEC Chair. by ifebosco: 11:06am On Nov 18, 2013 |
wirinet: The Anambra elections is admittedly flawed, even as admitted by Professor Jega himself. Since he admitted that one senior Inec staff had been compromised, it means others might have been compromised too. Meaning INEC does not have a system to check abuse of the process by it staff.
The so called cancellation is just a face saving gimmick, INEC does not have the powers to cancel elections once the result had been declared, only the courts have that power. If Obiano does not win a rerun or rescheduled election, he has a strong case in court to uphold the original results. Lawyers it is time to relocate to Anambra, there is plenty of meat there.
Anyway, since Professor Jega has shown that he is incapable of controlling INEC, i thing he should resign and go back to professing. If nigerians want a semblance of credible elections in 2015, i think Dr. Dora Akinyuli should be drafted to INEC, she has shown that she is incorrigible and incorruptible, with the magic she performed at NAFDAC in which she almost eliminated the fake drug pandemic before she was drafted to the information ministry. I am sure she would be able to sanitize INEC to an extent. if you want free elections in nigeria,the inec chairman should be appointed be we the citizens not the president.a football player can not appoint a refree in a match he/she is going to play.we should do the right thing and stop being silly |
Politics › Re: APC Will Not Participate In Idemili Election Rerun In by ifebosco: 11:52pm On Nov 17, 2013 |
scorpio1: From my Independent observation of the election (i had to travel to Anambra because of this) and what i discovered..APC was in control of much of the rigging and trying to massively thumbprint- APGA agents have tried vehemently to stop them by giving information to the security forces and they acted on it instantly. Another scenario i witnessed was in Okpoko Ward 5, polling unit 22, this unit i learnt has a voting strength of 750+, its a metallurgical school and most of the people that registered there were students who weren't in school and most of them had graduated and left and also some individuals staying around the area. the p.o there asked the APGA agents there to give them 100k so that they will work for them by giving them access to the ballot papers to thumbprint and fill the boxes, the APGA agents didnt have that kind of money on them and refused that they wont do so, somehow the APC agent there contacted their co-ordinator and they settled for 50k, the APGA agent protested but was overpowered by the APC group cos their strongman that brought the cash came with some thugs, well to cut a long story short, the APGA agents went and reported to the collation centre and the Supervisor caught them in the act, they had thumbprinted 334 votes as of then (U can verify this to confirm), i didnt follow up to know what transpired or if it was cancelled or not. on getting to another unit, someone approached me thinking i came to vote there and offered me 1,500 to vote for ebe esere Aziza(broom symbol), i declined saying where i would vote was in my mind, he said 2k, then i agreed and said he should give me the cash first, he said no that i should vote and showed me his party agent near the boot, that if he confirms i voted for them, then i can come collect the money, i told him he wasn't serious yet (i wasn't very happy cos i would have loved to take the cash and go drink some CHIILLED BOTTLE OF HERO BEER--OHH!-MPA!). Well, i did a lot of strolling cos it's been long i been to my hood and from what i saw on the ground, the voting trend was mostly APGA because people didn't want the igbos to lose the only Political party they could call their own saying that Rochas Okorocha had betrayed them and that APC which is controlled by Buhari want to come and control Anambra too. Some group where insistent that Ifeanyi Ubah just wants to drill Anambras oil which has just been discovered....i heard a lot of sidetalks at different polling units and i also learnt a lot about how and why most people vote for a certain party. Turning on the news today, i saw Ngige and others complaining, if anyone rigged, i think it was APC that championed it, its just that they were thwarthed in some places and some of their tactics exposed(like the idemili Electoral officer that was handed over to the police after INEC discovered he was compromised and had been doing everything possible to do some shady deals with APC, idemili being Ngige's stronghold, government agencies had intelligence reports on all the plans). Well my people, i just wanted to put a little of my on-the-ground experience down here, maybe it will shed some light on how the election has been going thus far. no evidence??no photo no videos.thank you |

dasparrow: @Bolded
This is what I keep telling people. I will not discourage anyone from migrating and looking for greener pastures but with the way things currently are in the western world, I will strongly advise anyone who already has a job in their home country and are living a comfortable life to stay put. The economic recession in the western world is still lingering on and jobs are hard to come by even for people who are born and raised in America and hold advanced degrees from American universities. It is rough out there. Even Nigerian-Americans - in other words Americans born and raised in America to Nigerian parents - are coming to Nigeria and looking for ways to get a job and settle here if the opportunity presents itself. The western world is not what it used to be in comparison to what it was when I went back there in the 90s.
@Post
I can relate to this article because I also suffered severe stomach problems when I first migrated to USA in the late 90s. Due to poor nutrition when I first arrived, I developed a severe stomach virus that required me to go for an endoscopy and then be placed on strong antibiotics. I really suffered when I first arrived in the USA. Looking back, you can't pay me to go through that kind of suffering again especially because America is no longer what she used to be as a nation. I watched with shock as so many indigenous Americans lost their homes because they could no longer make their mortgage payments. I watched as so many indigenous Americans had to sell their cars for dirt cheap just to pay their bills and I watched many indigenous Americans in their 20s and 30s moving back in with their aging parents because they have no jobs and as such cannot afford rent and are forced to live with their parents again. Others are postponing starting a family because they can barely afford to provide for themselves talk less of providing for children.
The world has become a tough place. I feel sorry for our generation but feel even worse for the future generations. The western world used to be some kind of a haven for people from poorer countries to go to and start life afresh while giving them an opportunity for a better life. But now that the western world is going through a seemingly never ending recession and tightening her borders, I wonder where people from developing countries go to now in search for greener pastures? Hmmmm. give nigeria basic infrastructure and see how oyibo go troop for naija |

lorretta u: I am not the sole authority on this issue. Neither did I claim to be. But it reeks of insecurity and troublesomeness for you people to come here twist my word and expect me to fold my arms and watch you accuse me of something I didn't do. Now incase you got lost along the way. Lemme clarify my stand on this issue again.
1) I recognize that various forms of abuse exist 2) I don't support women to divorce their husbands for frivolous reasons 3)I created this thread for women who are undergoing abuse to encourage them to liberate themselves before it is too late. 4)It doesn't mean I support abuse to any other person just because they are not female. But I believe there is ample space on NL for anybody who wants to create a thread on those issues to do so. Without turning my thread into a 'we against them' thing. 5)I find it highly insulting that someone who claims to be educated will turn around to call me silly names just because I spoke up against a vice. 6)I have tried to be respectful and condone nonsense in a very polite manner since page one of this thread. I won't tolerate such anymore sharap your own too much,are you a feminist?? |

Under 5 years, you would have recovered the cost. my friend you can´t build 6 flat in nigeria with $50,000.no were in nigeria.just the cost of land , engineer, rod and cement.to build 6 flat in nigeria is more expensive than some advance countries,because of our leaders |
