Nigerian youths will never learn, any slight opportunity is used to smear other's tribe.

and with this attitude, we want to take leadership of the country.

I Pity for this generation. Anofia.

Good morning House,

I had my GRE exam on Friday and the outcome was very saddening for me. V 154 Q 154.
my proposed course of study Is Msc Electrical engineering. two major things affected me, I didn't have enough study time cos of my hectic work schedule and also while writing the exam (during Quants) I was pressed and needed to ease myself so I just rushed through the second Quants part.
I Suspect that should be my dragdown for the Quants.
with the below profile I don't know if there is any hope for me or I should retake the exam.

CGPA 4.07
Institutions that I sent my scores to.
University of Colorado Denver
Texas tech university
Lakehead University(Canada)
University of British Columbia(Canada)

Though I'm beginning to consider other countries where it's only IELTS/TOEFL combined with other normal requirements will be the criteria.
ELders, Advice is needed.

The most important thing to hold unto is that there are many people going thru worse than you right now.
So know that your situation is still somewhat better and begin to appreciate life for that.
Never give up on yourself and continue to get better everyday by being thankful, pondering on the good things you have, how life is going on well for you compare to so many people you see out there.
Then as much as possible find someone/Therapist that you can talk to about this stuffs.
All you need are assurances that these things going thru your head are not real, they are Illusions. And believe me you will get better.

No matter the difficulty of the situation you find yourself, know that some people are going thru worse.

Okay. My experience goes like this. I started serious study 2 months ago after writing TOEFL and securing most of the books for GRE. I followed a different reading strategy. I didn't start by measuring my performance maybe because I already have a first hand experience of the exams. I read through Nova maths bible, then studied the whole 6 Manhattan books. I practiced all the questions in the Manhattan 5lb book. All that took me like one month. I decided to take the powerprep test and scored 163-Q 148-V. Then I moved on to the verbal, I used basically Princeton and Magoosh videos coupled with some android app all for the verbal. Meanwhile I practiced the analytical writing several times. Also got an app that has lots of AWA topics. Last Saturday I took the second powerprep test and performed really bad. I got 159-Q and 153-V. Well I said to myself this is not a true representation of my preparedness. I ignored the whole GRE stuff until 2 days ago on my way to Abuja I practiced whatever came to my mind.

What is the name of the Helpful App you used for the AWA.
Thanks.

Is this not one of the analyses adeyinka grandson has been presenting in order to make gullible Yoruba see how the Hausa Fulani have been robbing the south especially the SS and SW. Taking large sum of money from the south to fund their unproductive and parasitic regions and to fund the luxurious lifestyles of Abuja politicians. But the yoro muslim - loyal and humble slaves of the caliphate would rather insult the hell out of him and report him to authorities. I wonder if these people are cursed. I just don't get it. Or could it be that they're just imposters disguising as Yoruba Moslems. I don't get how some people could be so daft not to listen to the voice of reason. Now that Ambode has said it, let's hear what these head slammers have to say.

I would assume that you are literate, wise and should make sensible comment, but then i realised I'm wrong and you think otherwise.

HOYINDARMORLAR:
Hello everyone.
Special greetings my gurus and egbons in the house. I have been thinking about applying to graduate schools and writing gre for a while now. i have basically just been researching schools and not paying enough time to the actual test prep, i felt i could just do a few weeks rush-rush prep and ace it. Of course that quickly changed when i started going through this thread. I am looking at fall 2018 admissions, already have a list of schools and all that.
As advised on earlier pages of this thread, i took the powerprep test today, i haven't been preparing for GRE before, i just wanted to get a feel for the test.
V 161 Q140
I obviously need a lot of work on my quantitative aspect. I only have about 6 weeks to prepare. I have gone through the thread top to bottom(took me a week and several sleepless nights). It was totally worth it, the wealth of information here is just amazing. I have downloaded some of the materials and have links to others.

Here's my important question, what materials can i use to prep for these 6 weeks to strengthen my quantitative aspect?
I know this question has been asked over and over in many different formats, but i would greatly appreciate a response to mine too.
please can you share Tech schools(for Electrical Engineering) that you have come across, as it has been a nightmare for me searching for schools, and i intend to write my GRE Nov ending, Thanks.

NYSC / Re: Let's Meet Joshua Navi by Ifecrown: 11:56am On Sep 04, 2017
HonSTONE:
Let’s Meet Him

Lot of people come and go in my life,
But this one has refused to go.
Meeting him was heavenly arranged by God,
That day I will never forget.

We started as roommate, then acquaintance, classmate, bed mate to friends, best friends and now family.
Two people from different background of life coming together to form a union,
And I thought that was only done by male and female but our friendship broke protocol.
Right from year 1 at our temporary accommodation in the University of Benin,
There the story started.

Let’s meet him.
Joshua Ogenerukewe Asih, dark in complexion with his glasses always looking and dressing like a deeper life, of course that what who he was.
He was different, weird is the right word, and focus.
Ready to make new friends, ready to learn and ready to play.
Nothing could stand on his way,
That is who he is.

Joshua Asih, turned Joshua Navi came into my life and wrote his name in my heart.
A unique personality he got, taught me certain things, all with love in his heart.
Even when I was a pain in his ass, insulted him, quarrelled with him, wished the session ended quickly so we could go our separate ways but God’s love kept us.
God wanted us to be together even when I tried walking away.
He had something in stock for us.

Joshua inspired me; his life style motivated me,
And the Livingstone you see today is as a result of the friendship I have with Joshua.
When I thought of giving up, he came and forced me to keep on believing.
He told me to follow my dreams and impact the people around me.
He transformed my life.

Let’s meet him.
He is an Engineer, a graphic designer,
A game freak and a lover of God's word.
An Evangelist, a lover of Rap music,
An Artist and a lover of good books.
A teacher, a cook,
A counselor and a lover of good food.
He is the founder of Choose God and Grow Movement.

All I can say to you on your birthday is that I LOVE YOU.
If love is a crime, then I want to be guilty.
If loving a guy was a sin, then I want to commit it.
The same way Jesus loved the church and Peter loved Jesus.
Yes, that same way, I have loved him with the love of Christ.

The ladies couldn’t break us up.
Distance couldn’t separate us.
But love kept us together.
On this day, your birthday I wish you the very best life has to offer.
Happy Birthday Joshua Navi.
The friend who became a brother.

“What manner of love is this?” asked the lady next day.
“True and Pure Love”, I responded.
Now you have met him, help me wish him a happy birthday.
One Love, fam.

-Livingstone Imonitie

Happy birthday to Joshua, this kind of love is rare. keep it up guys may God continue to strengthen your relationship.

DAAD scholarships are mainly for PhD students and note that you must agree to come back to Naija after studies if you take their scholarship.
For Masters, the scholarships are basically specific to the school or even course sometimes and you must have enrolled as a student already.
Thanks a lot Guru,
Is it Just to Enrol and get admission or you begin the payment process then maybe after resumption you seek for scholarship? Danke.

God bless you.
so in essence what you are saying is that before job hunting young graduates should decorate themselves with as many relevant certifications as possible just to have an upper hand during job hunting.
Pls sir I would like you to guide us specifically on which certifications to go for so that work done would not be zero when one do a certification that works against you instead of for you. I studied Elect Engr.
Thank you
