Did you get the visa? You didn’t share your transcript homodele: Hello, please how can I go about this? |
Travel › Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Ifedolarpo(f): 1:21pm On Jun 08, 2021 |
No, you can use your cousin no problem about it as long as he has the money. They really don’t have to know that he’s not really your cousin as long as the money is genuine. Yes you can still apply for the visa if it comes out this month. cliffton: Thanks for the response bro. I was just asking if I could use my cousin - the guy owns a bank or my father in-law whose account has been updated (but currently less than the COA - although this can be updated with time. But am scared of sudden lump sum to the acc).
My qs is this, my mum hasn't really travelled before, so I plan to claim that this cousin of mine is my Uncle to make the blood relationship firmer. Wil this hurt me? Or should I just use him as my cousin.
His truly my cousin and my mum helped raise him. But I don't know if the embassy would believe this cos we bear different surnames.
I already applied for fall 2021 but yet to receive admission decision cos of WES delay. Though the school is still waiting for my WES report to make a decision and I have identified and done a successful interview with a Professor.
Do you think if my admission decision comes out positive this month that there is still time to apply for VIsa?
...And would using my cousin as an uncle help matters or worsen it?
Thanks a lot bro for you time. |

Your father in law as long as he has the money to show for proof of funds or your cousin. It doesn’t matter but for me go for your father in law. The embassy won’t know they financed your brother in law before. You have to confirm from your course how much is the school fees, that means your proof of funds should be more than the school fee and for phd most times people get full/ half funding for it. Inquiry from your school sha I think it might be late to apply for fall but you can try. Your I-20 will include the sponsor cliffton: Hello guys please who would make a better sponsor;
A cousin of mine that bears a different surname from mine (but I plan on claiming his my uncle - mum's brother) or should I rather just state that his my cousin.
Or my father in-law whose account has been recently updated for my brother inlaws visa attempt in August.
How much should the sponsors account hold normally. The program is a PhD.
I am looking towards fall entry but have not applied yet.
Also, when the school sends I-20, would they include the sponsor I indicated during my application or would I be asked to fill that out as I would want to change it since I didn't get the scholarship I filled there again. |

I have not gotten response from Deidra, they keep sending the automated reply. That means it has gone, I don't have the money for the application fee till next time bizmania: Hey, what's up with yours? This is still about 9am in Vancouver. If they've not contacted you, try to give them a call. |
Education › Re: Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, Enter Here by Ifedolarpo(f): 12:58pm On Jan 07, 2020 |
That means they might not waive it for someone, either you pay the application fee. I have sent her mails twice It's well

Okay, thanks Pekun210: You can inform your referees If they will be available to submit on 2nd then you can still get it done... |
Education › Re: Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, Enter Here by Ifedolarpo(f): 10:18pm On Jan 01, 2020 |
Abi, thank you I will check it out bizmania: Just be hopeful. The waiver processing doesn't take time at all Mine didn't take up to 5 hours after I sent a request. But unless you're scared and can't take chances and have the money then you pay yourself but that money big sha. It won't be nice to call. They're on holidays and nothing can be done about that. Just be patient.
Also, I don't know of it's your programme. My referees have till 31st of January to submit their letters. Check again. I don't think it sounds appropriate for both application deadline and reference submission deadline to be on same day when it's not as if you're uploading the letters yourself to the application portal. |
Education › Re: Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, Enter Here by Ifedolarpo(f): 10:17pm On Jan 01, 2020 |
I didn't submit it, I followed the instructions and I am waiting for a reply from her. Thanks bizmania: What do you mean by you submitted your application on Saturday? Does it mean that you paid the fee yourself? Cos if you are applying for a waiver, you were not supposed to submit your application. Go back to the PDF that was mailed to you containing instructions for application fee waiver and digest the step by step process carefully. If you've gone past that stage of submission before contacting them, then it will be impossible to waive the fee for you again. It was stated there. |

I have taken it down, thanks bizmania: Haba nau. This is a very confidential mail. Please delete the post or modify it by blotting out the contact details. Even UBC staff and students don't have access to the email. Why do you think we weren't given access to Dei**a after all, she's in charge of waiving application fees? |
Education › Re: Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, Enter Here by Ifedolarpo(f): 10:15pm On Jan 01, 2020 |
Thanks, I have taken it down Bicle: Kindly take down the image as you are not supposed to expose the email address as stated in the mail. Also, there might be hope if they respond to you on the 2nd but then again the possibility is slim because your references need to upload by the deadline too. |

Education › Re: Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, Enter Here by Ifedolarpo(f): 9:02am On Dec 19, 2019 |
No, it was a fresh mail to them. Mine was 8 hrs Bicle: Did you reply to the email they sent you to apply or you sent a fresh email requesting for a waiver and how long did it take to reply? |
Education › Re: Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, Enter Here by Ifedolarpo(f): 8:54pm On Dec 18, 2019 |
Thank you so much, it worked. This is what they sent to me so they will waive it for us. Dear.... I have attached instructions on how to waive the application free in the email. Please follow the directions and let Deidra (contract information inside) know if you have any problems. I have also contacted Deidra to let her know you are eligible. So they attached on how it will be done. bizmania: When you say, send an email to MasterCard, you mean the MasterCard programme at UBC, right? The only email for communication is Mcfsp.admissions@ubc.ca
If there's another email for applying for the waiver, please can you share with us, thank you. |

Nigeria: Applicants from Nigeria are assessed the international application fee. A temporary suppression of the application fee, in response to a currency freeze, has been discontinued. Best, |

Thanks justexcellent: Have all the required documents ready in PDF format and merge into one file (you can use an online pdf merger...just google it and you'd find one) Don't worry about the arrangement of each document in the new merged file, so long all the required documents are present.
Cheers |
