General Information for Candidates who had 50% and Above in UNILORIN Pre-Registration Screening Test


All candidates who scored 50% and above in the University of Ilorin Pre-registration Screening Test are to provide necessary information as contained in the Post Screening Form. Candidates should note the following admission requirements and use them as guide in filling the form latest by Saturday, 25th September, 2010.

You guys have spoken well.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,When a site is designed it often designed together with a DATABASE (Dbase of diff. version & ORACLE are good examples) which essence is to capture records of some particular fields, if on the other hand the DATABASE was not designed then the website is not full-proof. Whenever i input an info for instance on a combo box or textbox and i save, then it is believed that, that info is saved in the DATABASE . Even when the site is closed, DATABASE remains valid and unshaken. One can easily go to the DATABASE and fetch records.,,,,,,,,,What surprises me is; how come Unilorin cannot find some data when they already have them?.,,,,,,,,I believe they are trying to generate list.

My advice 2u is to concentrate on d course u were offered and do very well in your first yr and get a high GP to enable u change in your 2nd yr if u stil want 2 go for your dream course. Alot of people hv ended up loosin d one they were offered cuz they were busy chasing d shadow wen d image is right in front of them. I knw wat am telling u,cuz wat u were offered,alot of people spend hundreds of thousands of naira to have it. U have to see d rush here in NUC,so my brother concentrate on dat one u were offered and change in your 2nd yr,u may even decide not to change again wen u must hv seen d good aspect of dat course. No course is better than d other

Stick to this advice or regret after some xtra years at home, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,Degree na degree, ,,,,I wish and pray that u will not let go of this advice without making use of it.

Thanks for the gesture though, but what we think has nothing to do with what the unilorin senates think. All i know is that whenever they are ready, our names shall be there on the list. Our insinuations can only trigger tension thereby making us jumpy, but there is nothing one can do about that, That's the truth.

I have strong believe that the list is coming out this week, and my name is on the list already regardless of whatever style they are using.,,,,,,,,,

before your first date, just send recharge cards periodically and send few text msgs of how was your day.
on the day of the date, let the appointment be in a quality eatry. be an african man and be the first to place your orders. in your orders, tell them u want ice cream, chicken pile, rice and salad, with snails and then a bottle of small water. after that, tell her baby pls don't mind me bcs i like food. then tell the waiter/waitres to take her orders.
please note : u must not let the girl eat more than u on your first date. make sure u talkless. after winning her in the eating competition, tell her u have not eaten so well in a very long while. if she's got sibblings, make sure u organise some take away packs for her to boast your levels.
drop her home if u are on a ride or pay her cab if u are not.

UNILORIN ADMISSION GISTs:
> Abt 70% Space on d Admission First List is scheduled 4 Candidates on Merit Basis. Therefore you hav to calculate your MERIT POINTS based on your JAMB SCORE, O'LEVEL RESULT & POST-UTME RESULT 2 determine if u are qualified 2 be on MERIT FIRST LIST or not.
The Calculation goes thus= 30% 4 Jamb Score, 30% 4 O'level & 40% 4 Post-Jamb.
> JAMB %- jamb score divide by 400 multiply by 30. e.g (255/400) * 30 = 19.13POINTS,
> O'level %- grade point for your 5 best relevant subject divide by total obtainable point which is 25points multiply by 30. E.g. (15/25) * 30 = 18POINTS. Note: C6, C5, C4= 3points, B3, B2= 4points & A1= 5points.
> Post-UTME %= your post-utme score divide by 100 multiply by 40. e.g (70/100) * 40 = 28POINTS.
Sum up all d 3 Results rounded up to 2 significant fig. i.e. 19.13 + 18 + 28 = 65.13%.
> Therefore d higher your point, the higher your chance of being admitted especially to a highly competitive department. 60% & above are qualified to be on MERIT List.

I was talking to a lecturer in Ilorin recently about the calculation they are using and he said: "The calculation is true but, what do u want to use it for? are u the one to give admission?".


Guys, let's go through the thread, see for ourselves the calculation for merit/weighted point. But, we have hope as long as we have 50% and above it is well by God grace.

MJ. i take it that you are talking from xperience but, we cannot dispute the fact that people are different with different brains. Some would have to read deeply before they can grab something, while others read very little. If one can read deeply i believe, and then have group discussion, that is; combining the two styles, one would surely excel. I'm talking from xperience too though.
