Big_Bug_Ben, are you kidding me? you seem to be going back and forth in a circle. Nobody is saying there is PUME besides, it was made clear on unilorin portal that Interview will be conducted in stead of PUME.


What we should focus on now, is when it will be conducted.


However, the 5 best subjects we filled may be calculated as thus:

A1=6
B2=5
B3=4
C4=3
C5=2
C6=1

so that, if you have A1 in a subject, it will be computed as thus: 6 times your 5 best subjects i.e 6x5=30 times 2. You have 60 points already.


the rest, do the maths.

what happens to his first choice? Unilorin is looking for every means to screen out candidates that's why they make their cut-off 200 and above. Let's see what will happen since they say 2nd choice should check back.

Strictly between me and you, advise your friend to process his first choice very well.

Bolusky, i think that column is irrespective of type of applicant be it, Direct Entry, UME or Remdedial. Though, i'm a DE applicant, yet i still choose Industrial Chemistry as my desired course apart from Computer science and Telecommunication science that i chose right from time. Desired course simply means another course you desire to study apart from what you filled to study before. This is no error at all even if you had chosen sociology as your course, Just relax and do your prepare for interview if there will be before admission.

@Big_Bug_Ben. How sure are you about this interview after admission cos i called one lecturer at Ilorin and he said the interview will be used to screen candidates. Let me have your number for discussion.

@SHizy gurl, Try check your personal page. On the left hand side, you will see Reciept, try and open it. Same thing happened to me but, after so many trial, i decided to do what i just told you and it appeared that the receipt has already been created for me and i did not know.

This is a comment my guy (BLACKSNIP) commented this morning. Please, let's be pro-active on this question. How sure are we that the interview/screening would take place after admission? Until we clarify this, we are likely to be in the dark. Please, all efforts must be on deck. Let's whoever has anybody in Unilorin confirm from them and tell us the details cos, i called y/day and i was told different thing. I will do same and revert.

Chaiman/Lady, I bet you know what you are saying? 200 for DE? which IJMB or ND student will have 200? ND uses Upper while IJMB uses Points lol.

I'm not certain of UME candidate's question but i think DE question will have to be based on the course you studied in IJMB or ND level. Irrespective of the mode of application, i think questions about Unilorin as an institution would be asked for them to know why you chose the school. May God guide us through, Amen.

Unilorin has never done it b4 so we can't say categoricaly w@ dey might ask any of us but since is a departmental interview maybe dey wil ask us qst related 2 our course n if tins go haywire n dey ask u qst outside your course, If luck is on your side dey may ask u dis(jst tel us abt urself n why u wanted 2 study your choice course )remember dere is no time 2 waste dey only ave abt 4 or 5 min wit each student, ok let's luk @ dis real story of a big fnd of mine d@ chose U.I 2 years ago:he told us d@ wen d time 4 him 2 be interview came,he went in(wit d fear of d unknown) postrated on d floor 2 greet d prof/lec but he was shocked as he was getn up(dey asked him d chemical r*n d@ tuk place wen he prostrated but he was dumbfnded(hmm tradition) n he later answerd some of d qst dey asked him n fortunate 4 him is name was on d list, hmmmm

@WILLIAMS, That's no longer news it's story.

Though, it's the first time they are conducting interviews and not Post Ume. One should not relax, one should continue to read. Especially current affairs and some maths and english since it's interview. And just like SKMOADA said, Unilorin history, mission and vission should not be left out.

What makes you think they will not collect both WAEC and NECO conbination? If others are collecting it, why will UNILORIN be an exception? besides, if they will not collect, they would have specified it on their advert and portal.

Unilorin (Better by far) was founded in 1975. It was initialy a skul college, in affiliatn wit university of Ibadan headed by a principal, guy complete am. I pray mk dem no bring physic or chem or bio cos e don tai, ,maths and eng. wil b beta lol.

Though i'm a Direc Entry applicant. When i inputted the Receipt and confrimation order, it initially shows not valid. I think you should click on payment receipt on the left hand side of your page after signing in with your REg. no and surname.

Im not sure there would be any exam this year. I guess they are using the UTME score. At most, i learnt they would conduct Oral interview for the selected candidates that meet their cut-off.

Funmi, we all know that they are using the UTME scores, but the question is: will it be before or after? Anyhow, we shall all succeed by his Grace. For a start, what kind of question do you think will be ask?

For those that choose university of ilorin for first choice or second choice in there utme you can now go to there site and upload your credentials accordingly but you will need to go to any commercial bank for the etranzact payment, and the candidate must score up to 200 in the utme.

It may interest you that applicants that choose unilorin as their 2nd choice are being put on hold. theirs will commence later.


Has anybody with Direct Entry log-in yet? cos mine was saying "Reg/No or Username is incorect".

I'm always amazed at how good Nigerians are with languages - often speaking two, three, four or more! They may not be perfect in all of them, but there's a talent there! I only speak English so I would never criticise anyone who's made the effort to learn it even if it's still at a basic level.
I also don't think there's anything wrong with having an accent - everyone has an accent of one sort or other.

There are lots of varieties of English these days, all over the world, and none of them are exactly the same. I wouldn't worry too much about speaking 'Nigerian' English in Nigeria, why not? It only becomes a problem when you move to a place where they have a different form of English, and then it's wise to adapt to the local form. I know a lot of Nigerians have problems when they first come to the UK because most English people are not yet familiar with that accent or the mannerisms.

Anyway I have a question for you.

We have a new Nigerian lady at work. She keeps adding 's' to the end of people's names when she says them. Peter becomes Peters, for example. This is starting to irritate a couple of her collegues. I need to talk to her about it but I'm curious as to whether this is just an odd habit she has, or if it maybe comes from her language in some way (she is Yoruba)?

Note that your last statement in bracket does not connote any form of question. though you used question mark there. You probably meant (Is she Yoruba), right? Well, it could be her accent.
