Ratawu: Really?? I didn't know about that. My first application was in 2016. They refused me based on purpose of visit and that I have a degree of equal or higher value. I contacted immigration lawyer who advised me to seek for PhD admission since I already have a MSc degree from UK. That they frown at someone with masters going for another masters. |
jnyuwa02:Did you do upfront medical? |
That is why they refused somebody who had travelled to the UK, USA twice and Canada for LIMITED TRAVEL HISTORY That's because we hardly appeal. We always reapply that's why they take us for granted. |

Hmmmm this is the response I got from them. We write in reply to your enquiry. As indicated on our website, the processing times provided are based on how long it took to process 80% of all applications during that time period and are subject to change. As these processing times refer to 80% of applications, some applications will fall outside of these timeframes. In addition, as they are an average, there will be some fluctuations in processing times at peak periods during the course of the year. That being said, please be assured that your application has been received and is currently in active process and we are making every effort to complete processing as expeditiously as possible. As soon as processing is completed we will contact you. If you are no longer interested in visiting Canada, please inform our office in writing that you wish to withdraw your application. As processing of your application has already commenced, a processing fee refund would not be applicable Kind regards, KBA Immigration Section – Section de l’immigration 4 Anifowoshe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria Lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca |

Hello guys I sincerely think we should stop misleading people on this platform. If you don't know the reason for the Biometric update today and you don't believe the attachment from CIC website then keep quiet and accept it as general update. |
All active applications both online and paper route should experience it. Did all online applicants experience this biometrics change from “completed” to “we do not need your fingerprints?” Who filed online and gave biometrics, but did not experience such a change? If all who filed online and gave biometrics experienced this change, then your theory might hold some water. But if it is an occurrence among June applicant majorly only, I think it shows nothing but progress—that applications are moving towards their target point.
|
For those that got Biometrics update this morning remember the attached;

Aghatise:Congratulations. Please when did you apply? |
Hello Nairalanders, I was refused student permit in 2016 based on purpose of visit and they also indicated that I have academic of higher or equal value with the program I intended going for. That's because I have already studied MSc in the UK and also applied to go for M.Eng in Canada. After the refusal I consulted Immigration lawyer he told me to get an admission for PhD instead going for another MSc. Since then I have been looking for PhD admission in Canada and I finally secured one this year. I have applied for another study permit since June 30 with SOWP and two visitors visa for my children ages 3 and 1. We are yet get update for medical but a friend told me that PhD visa applications are treated within 3 weeks. Please is this true? |
Please who wrote Ielts test on August 19th 2017? And has anyone seen or check result. |
