Despite Nigeria’s lobbying of some Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC, to cut production, to shore up global crude oil prices, the International Energy Agency, IEA has said that cutting production may not resolve the current oil glut. The economy will grow by an estimated 3.2 percent this year and 4.9 percent in 2017 as long as the government boosts investment in infrastructure, according to the International Monetary Fund.
