BusinessSome Things Online Store Do Which We Don’t Know About by ifyan(op): 8:37am On Dec 14, 2015
I am amazed which the way we Nigerians glorified online store. To the extent that some people no longer visit the near by market for their needs or ask questions.

What made me to pass this information was the day l made enquiry about the prices of different inverters make and it range. I was surprised when l compare the prices given to in the market and the once online(despite their cunning discount, l know a lot of people are falling to this). What made my curiosity to grow further details about online stores, are as follows

1. When l was having a discussion with a lady. She told me that when she check the price of a particular material in the Internet and when she unknowingly went to the product dealer store.
2. Trade fair.
Now without wasting much of your time. This are what online stores do that you think are right

1. They are Wholesalers but sell higher than Retailers(are you surprised, then make enquire).
2. Some items you buy cheap online are either old one or given as gifts, charity etc.
3. Don’t be fooled by the discount because they are not fool to loose profit.
4. Old items but repackaged in a new box (you know what l mean).
5. Some products are not in the same grade with the original products (Quality Please).
6. Some are used as charity to some particular region but sold to you.
7. They are agents for companies from other countries.
8. They discourage Small scale and Medium Enterprise in an unknowingly way (this is a very complex issue which need a great understanding to the subject matter).
9. Welcome to the business world were you have to survive. So ..........

Note l am not discouraging online business or by from online or whatever you think. I am just passing out information to anyone everyone.

REMEMBER “INFORMATION IS POWER”

Nigerians be wise

It is natural that economies go through phases of recession on a regular basis. It is a never-ending cycle. An economy will have to deal with recession in a time span of four to seven years. The only difference between the governments that we have had and those in countries with strong economies is that they know how to react to the different phases in the economic cycle accordingly.

The economy is down and we are now in the 7th month of this government yet we don't know they economic blueprint. We need to wake up from all these media bla bla about the missing dollars and let the courts do they jobs but let us focus on the economy that is going down each day. Today naira is almost 360 to a pound and some people are saying it doesn't matter for an economy that is import driven yet we are trying to borrow 1.9tr to finance this year budget will hoping the prize of oil doesn't go below 38 dollar. It's getting scary because small medium scale businesses are crying while the big ones are sacking staffs to cut costs. It's scary ......

lMaybe not that low, but I think the government should allow the naira to drop to the appropriate level based on market forces as seen on the parallel market rather than defend the naira at N197 to the dollar. Our low reserves will not support the naira at the current rate for long. Nigeria should start diversifying the economy to earn more foreign exchange in the face of low oil prices.
There is one thing we fail to do in this part of the world.
There is a big problem but the solution is in from of us but we wouldn't go for it. Why?

You see we need to orientate ourselves for our own good.

We have been shouting to the government to diversify but they wouldn't listing now see were we are today crying about the crash of oil price.

May God heal us

docseun:
This is the end result of a mono commodity based economy I.e. oil based economy. The lack of economic diversity makes Nigeria susceptible to drastic global economic changes. There is an economic slow down right now in China so the demand for raw materials for manufacturing including oil has declined moderately. This has put further pressure on the oil price which is already at record lows because of OPEC increasing supply to protect its share against shale oil production from the U.S.
So we are getting hit on two fronts:
1) The value of the dollar has increased against all currencies.
2) We are earning less revenue from oil exports because of the crash in the price.
That is why a CBN policy to devalue the naira will be useful to increase the spread of the exchange rate .
But in the long run if we do not expand and diversify our economy away from oil this is a painful continous cycle that we are doomed to repeat .
Did you think Dollar is safe, because right now no top notch economy is safe at the moment.

I fear we may go into another recession.

What you guy fail to understand about the topic is that CBN needs BDCs operator.

Plus blame Bubu for this because despite the fact that CBN is a independent body. It needs to follow the economic step of the nation to know, execute, direct, etc its move for the nation. And who is to present the economy plan of the nation, the minister of economy and national planning in the case of Nigeria.

As it is nowl don't think any economic blue print is followed or available for execution. When our ministers were appointed not long ago. And who is to be blamed if not Bubu

Now the purpose of regulating dollar sales by regulating the BDCs would be diminished if that happens. It is no big deal if it is between friends or associates but when done on a commercial level it must be done by registered persons who have to provide track records of every sale.

Note that the regulation is a means of limiting money laundering where money could be sold here and resurfaces in another place as another currency. The end result would be such foreign transactions would be illegal once they stage conversion over here.

True! However blogging style varies based on location and niche!

You don't expect a medical, food, or tech blogger to style the way an entertainer does!
neither do you expect a Nigerian blogger to write like an american blogger!

Choose what works best for you. As a matter of fact, getting loyal readers to you blog now is as hard as going to heaven through hell
you gotta drag as many readers as you can. In entertainment, you have just an original content. Others pick up from the original...

The problem i have with most of the people who post stuff like what you did above, is that, they do worse than what others do but hide behind one niche blog. Most tech bloggers and other "super niche" bloggers, have entertainment blogs and they keep their identity totally off it so you can't trace then. Hypocrisy

You think its beans to get strong SEO? guys let's be real to ourselves!

Foreign AffairsIEA Sees Oil Glut Lasting Until Late 2016 As OPEC Keeps Pumping by ifyan(op): 12:48pm On Dec 11, 2015
OPEC shows `renewed determination' to defend market share

Inventory build-up to slow as non-OPEC supply declines

The global oil surplus will persist at least until late 2016 as demand growth slows and OPEC shows “renewed determination” to maximize output, according to the International Energy Agency.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, by effectively dropping production limits at its Dec. 4 meeting, is displaying hardened resolve to maintain sales volumes even as prices fall in an oversupplied market, the agency said Friday in its monthly report.

While its policy is hitting rivals, triggering the steepest drop in non-OPEC supply since 1992, world oil inventories will likely swell further once Iran restores exports on the completion of a deal to lift sanctions, it said.

Oil slumped to a six-year low below $40 a barrel in London after OPEC, which controls about 40 percent of world supply, said it would keep pumping in excess of its old production limit.

Saudi Arabia, the group’s most powerful member, has steered its strategy to pressure rivals in the U.S. with lower prices.

Swelling Inventories

Abandoning output targets doesn’t mean OPEC is about to further open the taps, as its biggest members -- Saudi Arabia and Iraq -- are already pumping near record levels, the agency said.

The group probably won’t bolster output until Iran completes an agreement on its nuclear program that would lift sanctions on crude exports, the IEA predicted.

Iran’s return will probably help to swell oil inventories by an “impressive” 300 million barrels, the agency said.

The accumulation of the surplus will actually slow next year to about half the pace observed in 2015 as non-OPEC supply wilts and demand remains strong enough to absorb some of the excess.

The combination of rising consumption and an expansion in storage facilities means the world won’t run out of space to store the surplus crude, the agency said.

Strategy Working

“There is evidence the Saudi-led strategy is starting to work,” the agency said. “Oil below $50 is clearly driving out non-OPEC supply.” Production from outside OPEC will contract by 600,000 barrels a day next year, compared with a surge of 2.4 million a day in 2014, the IEA predicted.

Global oil demand growth will slow to 1.2 million barrels a day in 2016, down from a five-year peak of 1.8 million reached this year, as the boost from cheap fuel prices wears off, the agency said. The agency’s 2016 estimates of demand and supply are unchanged from last month’s report.

Production from OPEC’s 12 members rose by 50,000 barrels a day to 31.73 million a day in November, the highest in two months, the agency said.

That’s about 400,000 a day more than the average required from the group next year.
