Yeah that's true.  The two ikwerre I know are in my school and both are members of an African club I‘m in.  In the club, when asked what tribe the members came from, the two girls said Igbo.  If I didn‘t conversant with them I wouldn‘t have known they were ikwerre’s.  Not all are denying their heritage.  The Ikwerre that believe they aren't Igbo’s should reread their history.  Like Udezue said, before colonization Igbo’s were scattered all over and saw each other as different tribes. In this century, we are united but embracing our diversity. It seems some ikwerre are trying to destroy that union. Oh well, they can classify themselves as whoever they want. It's not like they are doing anything for igbos so it's fine; be whoever you want.

I know that.  I was talking about that Era but i finally learned why they hated us. I finished the book so i understand now.  One of the reason was because of some of the lightskin individuals but the major reason is because Igbos commited suicide instead of working which got the slave masters to punish other tribes for those individuals that commited sucide.  Anyway, it's funny.  oh by the way, this topic is about the lightskin igbos. Is it everytime, someone talks about the lightskin igbos then they should also talk about darkskin igbos(which i did). There aren't that many "light skinned" Igbo people, just a higher prevalence than other ethnicities which would have been more noticeable when put against other ethnicities in the American colonies. But I doubt skin tone was the main reason why other ethnicities disliked the Igbo.

Also the bank is been accused for taking in "fake money and not following foreign exchange rule". He was also charged with depositing money of large amount to Ghana without showing proof of how he got that money. The guy was accused of embezzling, not printing fake money. THE GHANAIAN BANK is what accused of accepting fake money, nowhere shape or form did they accuse a Nigerian in this "fake money" matter. They accused him for embezzling "(which is different from what you guys claimed they accused him off). Hell the article even went on saying that Nigeria is the number 6th investors in Ghana and we ALONE deposited 1 billion dollars in Ghana in a year (yet you morons ignored that part). Hell, the article was accusing A BANK IN GHANA of what you claimed a nigerian did (blaming a guy for your banks problems). Yes, he managed that bank and should have paid more attention but he isn't the one being blamed for depositing "fake money". If there is any truth in the so called hatred of Nigerians in the world, then it's as a result of the international criminal image created by Nigerians.
