Bros,1stly, if he is an NNPC staff in the making, I believe he should know the details of the Resume he submitted.No employer can ask you to work beyond the competences stated on the CV with which you applied with. if the employer wants more, he will send you on a training to acquire the needed competence.
2ndly, more than 90% of people left on this thread at the moment are EH hopefuls and we not being part of NNPC just YET means we may not have the right answer for him. It would make more sense for him to ask his contact(after all, if his contact can tell him to expect APL in one month, he should also be privy to info about which arm of NNPC he will be posted, hence he can figure out which part of his computer engineering skills that will be needed.)
3rdly, is your friend getting his APL in one month as part of the just concluded GT recruitment, or as part of we expectant EHs, or as a contract staff?
4thly, to be honest, I am tired of people posting enquiries here on behalf of a friend/brother etc. Registration on nairaland is free, more than 70% of the known free world use an Android device or any of the other ones. In Nigeria, almost everyone uses one gadget or the other, so why can't they register and ask this questions themselves(pls note,am not referring to just your enquiry).

They have come again with bombardment. Don't you think the one person that inquired and got a reply has done enough. This is not Aluta Continua struggle.My brother inasmuch as we all have a vested interest in this recruitment,we should also note that NNPC is a corporate entity and to a large extent reserves the right not to give you a reply. I have been to tests/interviews in my life, most employers will give you a timeline as to when to expect a feedback. I don't recall NNPC doing such so you don't really have any basis to go on a social media bombardment of their twitter handle.
Yes considering how that BTW application and CBT was about 2 1/2 months I guess we all didn't expect it to take 5 months for the process to be concluded. But the key here is patience.. APL will come when it will come.. So long as the process has not been cancelled,which I can say quite boldly that the process IS STILL on.

I think it's high time we bombarded NNPC's official Twitter handle with questions about the recruitment. From the look of things, they are quite responsive on that channel. They replied a guy who questioned the recruitment recently via a comment.

Let us not lose hope. I expect what I was told by a relative who has direct links with some people "up there" to come to pass. He said this week and I relayed the info.

Let us flood any post they make with recruitment questions. They will have no option but to answer. Imagine if they got 100 comments on each post about the recruitment. It will wake them up.

Hmm, this forum nawah oh.. Here we are battling one another about refund or no refund of double/ triple alert meanwhile some people (urs truly inclusive) is yet to see a first alert..
In my opinion, I don't think d double/triple payments were made in error. Think about it logically.. For a candidate that went to Abuja from portharcourt, let's assume the person travelled by road,
Tfare to and from is approximately 20k and dat person had to spend at least 2nites in a hotel.. That's another 20k approximately depending on where the person stayed..(i stayed in Bolingo Hotels and it was 15k per nite) So a payment of 20k flat is gross underpayment..hence d 2nd/3rd payments might just be to make it up.
Am sure each PH candidate spent at least 40k on hotel and road transport(that is a very conservative estimate)
Anyways, e pain me sha that I am yet to receive even the first 20k which would have at least covered one quarter of my expenses.
Las Las, I pray it ends with APL for me and us all cos it will be very painful that one doesn't get a Tfare refund and also doesn't get APL

Fellow APL hopefuls,
having tried so hard to focus on my current job while waiting like d rest of us, I had to place a call to a relative (who by the way is about to made a GM or something like that)..After the usual pleasantries of a nephew calling an uncle, he was genuinely surprised that I was involved in d current recruitment.he asked why I have never mentioned it(cos we have met a few times after my interview) I laughed over it.. (main reason for not telling him is cos this uncle of mine is a stickler for merit and due process as in old school imperial college graduate)
Anyways, from the conversation, I observed he knew more than he divulged(wasnt surprised cos that is him) but bottom line,i got 4 points crystal clear..
1. The recruitment process even though it ran into bottlenecks vis a vis interference from some powers wasn't CANCELLED..infact let me quote him, "the amount of time and money that was invested in the process defeated all arguments from certain quarters for it's cancellation"

2. Yes,there were interferences at d end of the day but to his knowledge, it was very minimal.less than 5percent of total names.in his words, this is d most transparent recruitment process he has seen in his 27years in the system

3. GT list is actually ready but EH isn't entirely ready..According to him, they are still matching them to d different subsidiaries..i asked him how can that be cos I believed every EH from his resume and experience already applied to d positions best suited as advertised which should make placement easy. (eg, my work experience can only fit into NPDC) and his reply..that some subsidiaries may need 3 accountants whereas some may need 10 and most importantly,that some "interferences" also came with a subsidiary of choice.. (meaning some powers came with candidates and also demanded the subsidiary they should b posted to) hence some minor reshuffling

4..Lastly, that APL will come soon.i asked him how soon.. He said he couldn't place a date but it won't pass this last quarter 2019..i probed more and he gave a solid reason for his timeframe.The proforma invoices for the external (non Nnpc) SMEs (subject matter experts) that will be part of the GT training in edjeba has already been approved and the persons have already been notified as to their time schedules which includes this year. I argued dat the budget approved for the proforma invoices could be moved to budget accruals so that the system doesn't retrieve it/and it doesn't affect d next year's budget.. When I said this, he laughed and is like everyone involved in d budget for this recruitment is fighting tooth and nail for it to be concluded this year such that certain inflated figures won't be discovered..
He wished me luck and yabbed me to at least remember to call him if I was shortlisted..

please can we stop all these theories and postulations.i am EH,did my interview on the 6th of July,no TP alert yet..i believe they are paying TP in batches or according to banks cos my colleague who did interview on 6th july has gotten his own alert with zenithbank.
Lets try to keep our emotions together,what will be will be.
On a personal note(not from any source) i think we should expect APLs from next week..if the on board takes 3 weeks quoting xfire etal,its logical to say that if APL comes next week say 29th july to 2nd august,takr one week to prepare for the 3weeks onboarding and resume fully on 2nd of september..
