In reality, there is nothing like Rivers state, just as there is nothing like Abia, Enugu, Imo, Ebonyi, Anambra or even Delta. States were tactically created in Nigeria to divide Ndiigbo. The British advised Gowon to do that to minify the influence of the Igbo nation.


Igbo are in 13 states of Nigeria. For instance, in Rivers, you have Obigbo (heart of Igbo), you have Etche, you have Umuokoro (Rumuokoro) and others. Are you saying that Ndiigbo should leave their kiths and kins because some a m a l a perso ons say so?
