PDP is a party of fools. We realized that the moment they failed to expel Wike. What would Obi want in a party where Wike would be used by Tinubu to undermine him? If PDP has sensible people, they wouldn't have allowed Atiku share dollars for candidacy. But we all know how arrogant the party was. It should just be buried. |
franchasng:He also wants to change the dynamics of Nigerian politics from being a money-driven politics to an issue-based politics where contestants are assessed mostly based on their leadership plan and antecedents and not based on how much money they can dish out to political jobbers and wolves to win both party primaries and main election. Apt. |
NgeneUkwenu:You're obviously lying. There's no place in Nigeria you can't get a 30k/night hotel. |
With independence, the Hutus consolidated power and facilitated widespread discrimination against Tutsi, excluding Tutsis from prominent careers and implementing education quotas. A Hutu Power ideology emerged, grounded in the Hamitic Hypothesis, in which Tutsi were recognized as foreigners to Rwanda, rather than an indigenous ethnic group. This racist ideology, initially propagated by Germany and later Belgium during colonization, argued Tutsis were inferior to the Hutu majority. This theory would be used to incite the genocide in 1994. In the months and weeks before the genocide began, Hutu radicals began compiling lists of potential Tutsi targets and moderate Hutus. In addition, the Hutu dominated government began stockpiling weapons, including machetes. These machetes and other rudimentary weapons would be the tools that carried out the genocide. How different is this from what Igbo see in Nigeria, discriminVtion whose origin is the British colonialists? |
rinzaugustine:80% of educated Nigerians believe in Obi. This is why he swept most of the urban cities with enlightened people. However, the system is skewed against him because politicians do not care about the interest of the masses but who would reward them individually. Just like Buhari joined APC in their lies, Obi would have to lie to them to gain their support. We saw what Wike is doing? That's vintage politician character. Unfortunately or fortunately, Obi isn't made of the crude stuff. |

Beginning in 1994 and lasting only 100 days, the Rwandan Genocide is one of the most notorious modern genocides. During this 100 day period between April and July 1994, nearly one million ethnic Tutsi and moderate Hutu were killed as the international community and UN peacekeepers stood by.Holocaust and Genocide Studies College of Liberal Arts University of Minneasota Looking at the bolded, you would ask yourself why the UN peacekeepers looked on during the murders of Tutsis. Would they hve done that if it was in Europe or America or if those being killed were white people? Why did the Belgians intentionally give power to the Hutus instead of the more intelligent Tutsis who by the way were the traditionally recognized precolonial rulers of Rwanda? Why won't Africans demand that Africa be recreated and recalibrated based on traditional tribal lines and alliances? |

Who wins? Though I think it's too early to presume the party would be smart enough to pick Obi.

You guys do not know what's going on. Just like the Yoruba government, the day JAMB lost the last vestiges of integrity was when a Yoruba Muslim was appointed a registrar. This same JAMB has been run by northerners for decades without ethnic bias but just look whhow a Yoruba man with their avid hatred for Igbo tries very hard to victimize Igbo children year in year out. When he wept due to glitch, did you for once imagine he was weeping for his incompetence? No...he wept because his plan to fail Igbo children was busted. And his dream of having one Ademola or Adekunle as top scorer scuttled. Until you guys understand that this is not a country and call for its dissolutions, native Africans in this British contraption will continue moving on circles. These same people only remember south when it's election time but their odium is far more than what a northern Muslim can conceive. |
Ibadanfarmroad:Edo no be Lagos talk less Ibadan All southerners are not children of Jonathan and his wife na More character dey. So why support Tinubu? What are his achievements |
Have you ever wondered why the Canadian troops in Kigali under the UN mandate did nothing while those Tutsis were being murdered? Black skins? Have you also wondered why Igbo civilians that knew nothing about politics were murdered? Is there a correlation between being African and smart and being hated by Africans and Caucasians? |
If you think we should support the Yoruba president to stop the north grabbing power, let us know. If you think he deserves the Jonathan treatment, let us know your reason too. |
Let's start by crowdfunding for the best candidate to support him win 2027 presidential election so that the country stops moving in circles. Just think about it, the last person that seemed to have similitude of a sound mind was Goodluck Jonathan despite being ineffective. Maybe crowdfunding for Peter Obi is the next reasonable thing though I don't even see the man using the money to bribe delegates so it's still useless. |
I'll support you if they don't reward the muumuu man |
Brenbentondiaz:Yeah that's the song, but what's obvious is that even with his rigging tactic Tinubu can't win. Especially if Atiku and Obi are on the same team. |
kunle4toyeyaho:Nah, you're lying. No strong politician is a potential bidder after Tinubu. Tinubu supports only puppets he can control like he did in Lagos and Shetti is no puppet. |
lebienconnu:He's too smart to be fooled by Tinubu boys. He has read the handwriting on the wall already and is like if I go Tinubu goes too. Smart guy. |
givedemwotowoto:Yes, being an inside man, Tinubu would miss a big ally. |
It's hard to say but based on the principles of induction, it is not a far-fetched proposition. I like the way the man has started talking .... |
Numbers don't lie. Researching the Tutsi story ... |
T8ksy:Cos you actually said nothing. Abiola merely won an election, not that he was loved by Nigerians. Just like Obasanjo, Yaradua, Jonathan and even Tinubu that was rigged in. Love is organic and we all saw how the northerners loved Buhari despite evidence of his incompetence. Same with Peter Obi. That's why no amount of propaganda has affected his standing before Nigerians. For instance, a state like Edo would rather boycott an election than miss Obi. The same with many in FCT and Lagos. Garrit? |
IGBOPROMISE1:Here is map of the Igbo country even before Anyone knew that Nigeria would be a country. Nigeria simply carved out coastal Igbo clans and placed them with non-Igbos to dilute the Igbo influence, so you people should stop believing the lie that Igbo needs to dredge anything to gain access to the sea. The largest Igbo town before the British arrived West Africa was Aboh. Today Aboh is in Delta state and largely unknown to most Igbos. Many other Igbo towns are in the so called SS because of the fear of resurgence of Igbo nationalism to crumble Nigeria. It is natural to lose territories when you lose war, but calamitous to believe the enemy's lie at the same time. The Russians have taken back Crimea and Dumbass region because they did not forget their people there. The Germans have reunited East Germany with the West. The Igbo country must not lose focus of its identity.

Mbanda:What they do not understand is that Peter Obi represents hope to the masses. Something that no other politician in this generation portends. And that there is nothing they can do to change the minds of people. Jonathan that they pulled down with lies and propaganda is not in the league of Peter Obi. Instead of de-marketing Peter Obi, their lies would rather draw more people to like him. I know a girl that has been an Atiku supporter c texting me to say she just became Obidient simply because she saw reasons when people argued about Obi. Even many of these cornfuullsed will become Obidient before the next election despite the slavedriver's 30k inducement they're getting. |
From politicians to the government, legislators and the judiciary, there seems not to be a moment without the name of Obi on the lips of Nigerians since before the 2023 presidential election. Not even the second-placed Atiku Abubakar or the INEC-declared Tinubu comes close to Obi as a phenomenon. Do you know why? The reason is that Peter Obi is one of those rare politicians that people believe in. Rare because such men come once in aa generation. As far as Nigeria is concerned, just three men have had the privilege of having genuine organic following. These men are: 1) Aminu Kano, the enigmatic Hausa leader who should have been the first northern premier had the British not favored and helped rig in Ahmadu Bello, who was not even loved by the northern Talakawa. Maybe because Kano was not Fulani. 2) Mohammadu Buhari . the erstwhile president with his cult-like northern following 3) Peter Obi. What's even more surprising is that Obi is a southerner and the first southerner to be loved by Nigerians from all regions. Do you now see why even the government cannot stop talking about him? |
