Nnamdi Azikiwe was Nigeria's First Governor General and also Nigeria's first ever President.
Nigerian's first coup detat was done by the Igbos,
Nigeria's first civil War pitching ethnic superiority against the state was done by the Igbos.
Nigeria's first Senate President was an Igbo man. Infact 80% of Nigeria's Senate presidency was held by the Igbos since independence.
Nigeria's first Vice Presidency in a democratic set up was also held by the Igbos.

Infact since independence, the fourth Republic was the only time Yorubas have held or attained the position of president or Vice President almost 40years after independence and they never fought a civil war.
