Nollywood actor, Kunle Afod’s wife, Desola, had caused a major commotion on social media a few days ago when she made an outburst on the internet warning actresses to leave her husband, Kunle Afod and allow her and the children enjoy her marriage.

Sharing on social media, the mother of four boys wrote:

“For all the actresses and upcoming actresses that have bleeped with Baba Omiayo, I dare you all to be in the same location with him. Then you will see the relaxed Desola. Just because I have been quiet.”

Actor Kunle Afod was however contacted by Sunday Scoop on his wife’s allegations, he said he was not ready to talk about it.

He said:

“I’m fine; there is nothing wrong with my marriage. But sorry, I don’t want to talk about it (wife’s outburst). I’m working on set.”

Kunle Afod's wife allegation however came after the husband made a claim that he has been turning down romantic roles because of his family duties.

This is what he said in the interview:

For a long time, I didn’t accept romantic roles because of my wife. She has been with me for a while and even before we got married, she usually accompanied me to locations, so she knows all that happens there is all make-believe. Some of my colleagues attended the same secondary school with my wife. Your spouse should be able to ask you questions about your job and you must make sure that it doesn’t break your home. She must know the dynamics of your job. If I am a doctor for instance and a patient comes in with lumps on her breasts and my wife visits me while attending to the patient and she meets the same patient two weeks after in my office, she might begin to think otherwise. Nobody wants to marry a man who won’t succeed in his career, so whatever the profession warrants; you just have to do it.

I thank God for the children he has given me. Fatherhood is a good thing, especially when your kids are your friends. When you turn yourself into ‘Voltron’ in the midst of your wife and children, there’ll be problems. I pray that my boys grow up faster so that we can hang out together, have discussions and build an empire together.

A housewife, Deborah Olusola, on Wednesday told an Idi-Ogungun Customary Court, Agodi in Ibadan, that her husband, Pastor Sunday Olusola, lured her into marriage through fake prophesy.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Deborah had approached the court seeking for dissolution of her 18 months union with the pastor over insincerity, infidelity, nagging, and brutality.
In her testimony before the court, the 23-year-old woman, narrated how Olusola approached her and promised to assist her spiritually.

“My lord, he promised to assist me but later told me that God said both of us should become one through marriage.
“I believed the prophesy because I thought it was truly God’s voice and we got married after few weeks.
“Again, he prophesied that my mother should resign from her place of work and relocate to our matrimonial apartment.
“He said God would kill her if she didn’t obey the purported God’s voice and my mother yielded to the prophesy because she too believed him as a man of God.
“He began showing his true colour immediately I got pregnant, maltreating me, became less concerned about my well-being and brutalised me.
”I passed through hell during the pregnancy of the only child of the marriage.
“His parents too nagged and beat me, and even extended the hatred to my mother by treating her as slave.
“The worse he did was that I caught him sleeping with his blood sister and threatened to deal with me if I expose him.
“I couldn’t believe my eyes until I read text message conversations between him and his sister on his cell phone which confirmed what I saw.
“My relationship with him in the last one and half years was not friendly and his ways of life didn’t prove him to be a man of God.

“I pray the court to separate us because I can’t cope anymore with the marriage because of his devilish ways of life,” she stated.
In his defense, Olusola, 28, denied all the allegations and blamed the plaintiff.
He urged the court to uphold the divorce request of his wife and pledged to abide with the judgment of the court.

Chief Mukaila Balogun, the President of the court, dissolved the marriage and gave the custody of the child to the plaintiff.
Balogun further ordered the respondent to pay N3,500 monthly for the upkeep of the child.

A 26-year-old undergraduate, simply identified as Nura Iliyasu, has reportedly mounted a 50-metre mast overlooking the Presidential Vila, Abuja, on a 7-day hunger-protest against what he called bad leadership by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

An eyewitness said Mr. Iliyasu also called on all opposition political parties to unite and produce a formidable candidate that will take over the leadership of the country and salvage the economy.

He told journalists: “Iliyasu said his one-man protest was against national indirection, pervasive hunger and starvation, un-godly generic poverty, youth redundancy and hopelessness, schizophrenic governance, souring foreign-exchange, high commodity prices; dysfunctional refineries and textile industries, elites medical tourism abroad, continued kidnappings and other negativities too numerous to mention.”

At press time, sources told DAILY POST that personnel of the Department of State Services, DSS, and the FCT Emergency Management Agency had convinced the frustrated man to come down from the 50metre mast.

An Egyptian court today issued death sentences for 75 people, including prominent Muslim Brotherhood leaders, and jailed more than 600 others over a 2013 sit-in which ended with the killing of hundreds of protesters by security forces.

The sentencing concluded the mass trial of over 700 people accused of offences including murder and inciting violence during the pro-Muslim Brotherhood protest at Rabaa Adawiya square in Cairo. The government says many protesters were armed and that eight members of the security forces were killed. It initially said more than 40 police had died.

Rights groups say over 800 protesters died in the single most deadly incident during the unrest that followed Egypt’s 2011 popular uprising. Amnesty International condemned Saturday’s decision, calling the trial “disgraceful”.

Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Mohamed Badie and dozens more were given life sentences, judicial sources said. Others received jail sentences ranging from five to 15 years. Cases were dropped against five people who had died while in prison.

The Citizen TV host who was on a roll stated Kenyans always judge women who reveal their sexual history harshly and the same does not happen with men. "Women are judged more harshly in terms of your past and history. It speaks negatively upon us if we are truthful whereas men can get away with whatever crazy number they are working with," she said.
