Birikiti: Please what's the lowest lot size you can use on Fxpro? I opened a Demo account and saw you can't go below 0.1 lot size. Is it the same for a live account?

0.1 as you rightly wrote. First minimum deposit for trading is 500$. I have used them earlier, if futures and commodities is you thing, go for them or Alpari. But if you prefer currencies, Dukascopy could be great. I havent used but from what I read online, I have concern about the commission, Swap, charges for Syncing your MT4 account between Dukascopy and FTT and also, there friday's margin. I read it increases to over 80% thereby closing your open position whether on profit or not.


#I think some strength is returning to thees Asian currencies (AUD and NZD). They might turn bullish from next week. NZD is at its lowest lows of 2013, hence the support lately.

Those 2 has bn the perfect pairs to trade but I prefer longing them to shorting them for now. So whenever there is this kind of setup, im happy because at London/NY open, they go on a very longing things.

Them dey offer you 250$ and you dey complain. I cope with them by not putting all my eggs in one basket. Thats to say I have other accounts too I trade on at the same time. I use FX Synergy Trader manager, I open a position on of the account and it opens in others including FXDD.

Piponomics: All these chronic losers no go focus on the cause of their losses. They will come here and be scaring away newbies. If you like use ECN,STP,MM,PDP,ACN,CPC, person wey go lose go lose.
70% of brokers we use are Market Makers. Those guys simply take the other side of your trade and then hedge the position on their own end. Simple. Nothing wrong with it. If you have never noticed any discrepancy in price with your broker, you don't have any reason to move. If the high of EURUSD is 1.3456 and your broker shows 1.3470 just to take out your stop loss, then you have every right to run but if everyday the price you see is the same, candle formation is the same, close and open price is the same when compared to other platforms, and there is no requote, ignore the broker rubbish talk. Again, if you go and use a broker that no one knows the name, that's your business. Focus on becoming a good trader. Ignore broker talk.
About the $100 talk, that one is also a rubbish generalization. I blew my first 2 accounts I started with $1000, blew some lower than that but my breakthrough came when I found a good startegy that suits me and I wasn't relying on the 100$ account I opened for daily living. This allowed me to successfully trade microlots for a while untill I grew the account. Whatever I have made today came from that $100. So if you are a newbie genuinely interested in trading and allow these keyboard traders to decieve you, that's your business.
One clown who may not even know what it is to trade a 5-figure account is calling me and other JPY traders gamblers. I no blame una o. All of us dey gather for forum. Nonsense.

"Betting against so many other traders, investment banks" What? You have no idea how MMs operate, do you? (or even the Foreign Exchange Market in general?) Do you even know the types of brokers available? Do you trade or you're just "speculating"? Don't misinform people.

There is NO central forex market, know and understand that.

Forex Brokers, which are not Market Makers, operate either a Straight Through Processing (STP) or an Electronic Communications Network (ECN) These types of brokers I'd recommend to anyone who's serious about trading forex - only bad thing though is, they often require large "minimum funding capital".

Market Makers are dealing desks who create positions against your trades. The broker provides the liquidity. Your orders are never quoted on the interbank market, simply because the Broker IS the market. Most times the larger MMs, pair your trades - i.e they pair you with another of their customer on the opposite end of your trade.

All these brokers that let you deposit $100, with very high leverages, bonuses and all all that are nothing short of Dealing Desks (i.e Market Makers). Now, I'm not saying MM's are a terrible choice (esp. if you don't have enough capital to trade with an ECN broker), I'm just saying you understand the underlying operation. It is possible for your broker to manipulate things to their favor, from price to feeds, etc.

Surely there are good MMs out there, but there are those who engage in lots of shady actions. Hence I'd recommend an ECN broker (if you're able to ply that route).

If you can't get an ECN broker, you're better off with an STP broker. I'm low on adrenaline so I can't type a longer post to explain exhaustively how the forex market works for those here who may not know but I believe I've touched a few points.
