Politics / A Bit Of History: Awolowo Voted For Secession, Azikwe And The North Rejected It by Ihateniggov: 1:58pm On May 31, 2021 |
A bit of history: During the 1954 constitution conference in London, Obafemi Awolowo (AG party) tabled a motion to the effect that a right of secession (secession clause) should be enshrined into the constitution of the emerging Nigerian nation to allow any part of the emergent nation to opt out of Nigeria, should the need arise. The NCNC through Nnamdi Azikiwe vehemently rejected the motion saying that once we have a federation, we are indivisible and perpetual. That is, “Nigeria’s unity is non-negotiable”. The expression— “The indivisibility and perpetuity of the federation” popped out from there. They also went further by saying to Secede from the Newly Formed Nigeria would amount to Treason. Due to sustained opposition from NCNC and NPC, Awolowo and the AG were forced to renounce their position on the right to include a Secession Clause in the Nigerian constitution. If the provision were allowed and enshrined in the constitution, perhaps the Biafra war and this ‘by-force’ marriage could have been avoided. Side notes: AG = Action Group (in the west) NPC = Northern People’s Congress (in the North) NCNC = National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons (East) Culled from Twitter( Man of Letters) 3 Likes |

Politics / The Day Lam Adesina Clashed With Buhari, Marwa, Others (Vanguard) by Ihateniggov: 4:16pm On May 15, 2021 |
I was reading a thread on Sunday Igboho’s Oduduwa rally in Osogbo when I came across this interesting post by InaNla and I decided to share it since a lot of people here are dumb and unabashed to support Buhari’s nepotistic government. Enjoy Alhaji Lam Onaolapo Adesina,Oyo State governor from May 29, 1999 to May 29, 2003, passed on to glory on Sunday, 11, November, aged 73 years. Lam rose to the pinnacle of all his callings in life. He got to the zenith of his career as a teacher; as a social crusader, he got state recognition and was tagged a ‘prisoner of war’. Politically, he did not only realize his ambition of becoming the governor of his state, he achieved the extra ordinary by installing a governor, not while in power but eight years after he had left office. Since Sunday, torrents of tributes have been pouring in from various quarters all extolling the virtues of Alhaji Adesina . He has been described in many superlative words, establishing the fact that he was a great man. But how great really was the husband of the benign Alhaja Sarat Adeola Adesina? As his Chief Press Secretary while he served as the governor of Oyo State, I will transmit a story of how he disciplined a former military Head of State and prevented what could have led to the Nigerian second civil war. It was on 13 October 2000, when words went round that General Muhammadu Buhari was leading the Arewa team to the governor’s office to confront the state over alleged killings of Fulani cattle rearers in Saki, Oke Ogun Area of the state. Buhari did actually telephone the governor that he was leading a team to his office. In less than 30 minutes after the general informed the governor of his visit, we noticed that the entire secretariat was already filled with lorry loads of our brothers from the North. This created some tension but we kept our calm. At about 2 p.m., Buhari arrived in a long convoy at the governor’s office in company of the former governor of Lagos State, General Buba Marwa, Alhaji Aliko Muhammed, Alhaji Abdulrazak and Alhaji Hassan. They all wore long faces. In fact, the anger in them was palpable as all pleasantries extended to them were ignored. “This is trouble” was the expression on the faces of all of us in the governor’s office. Shortly afterwards, the state Director of State Security Service (SSS) and Commissioner of Police arrived. But their presence did not change anything particular on the fears that had already gripped majority of us. The two security chiefs did not come with any operatives, they came almost alone. The meeting was called to order after Lam walked into the Executive Chambers. Introductions over, Buhari spoke on their mission to the governor’s office. Emitting fire, the general accused Lam and the government of Oyo State of complicity in the killing of over 68 Fulani people in Oke Ogun area and perversion of justice. His words: “Your Excellency, our visit here is to discuss with you and your government our displeasure about the incident of clashes between two peoples… the Fulani cattle rearers and merchants are today being harassed , attacked and killed like in Saki. In the month of May, 2000, 68 bodies of Fulani cattle rearers were recovered and buried under the supervision and protection from a team of Mobile Police from Oyo State Command. “ That some arrests were made by Oyo State Police Command in the massacre with their immediate release without court trial. This was said to have been ordered by Oyo State authorities and they were so released to their amazement. The release of the arrested suspects gave the clear impression that the authorities are backing and protecting them to continue the unjust and illegal killings of Fulani cattle rearers…” According to the general, they therefore wanted immediate stoppage of the killings, justice and compensation to the Fulanis. As weighty and indicting as Buhari’s allegations were, Lam remained unperturbed. He fired back with his own well coordinated arsenals. Lam identified all the points raised by Buhari and simply asked the heads of the organizations directly involved to respond to the allegations. First to speak was the Commissioner of Police who debunked all the claims. Instead of the allegation that the natives were killing Fulanis, the commissioner said pointedly that the opposite was the case. “ The killing of the natives by the Fulanis was duly reported to the police and, of course, we can’t make arrest because, as soon as they kill, they migrate to other areas. Who are you going to arrest? That is the problem”. On the killing of Fulanis, which he said was as result of “piled up anger”, the commissioner disclosed that arrests had been made and the suspects were in police custody. Next was the Director of SSS, who equally debuked the allegations by Buhari. “The natives don’t have problem with the Fulanis who are resident but those who are coming in, they don’t care about anybody. They just go ahead and when they graze the natives farms, whoever cares to challenge them runs into trouble. You said 68 people were killed , and people driven away. I am not saying there were no killings but they cannot be more than five. The petition is on the harsh side, there is nothing like that.” Not done yet, Lam called in his Deputy, Barrister Iyiola Oladokun; his SSG, Chief Michael Koleoso, both from Oke Ogun, and the chairman of one of the affected local government areas, Mr Ademola Alalade. They stated the true position of things, corroborating the submissions of the security chiefs. At this point, all the tensions and apprehensions evaporated. Trust Lam any day, he must rub it in. He spoke for about 20 minutes and the generals were at the edge of their seats for the entire period. They were like chicken that had just been thoroughly beaten by the rain. Lam said: “ Before I thank you for this visit, you have come to tell me something. I also want to tell you something and that something is to make an appeal. General Buhari has been a former Head of State, Brigadier Marwa has governed Lagos for some time and with credibility… so you are national leaders of this country. Even though, by accident of birth, you are from the North, you can be born anywhere; may be next time when I am coming to the world, I will be born in the North or the South-South. “My appeal will be that effort must be made to unite this country and that will be ïn the best interest of all Nigerians. I am appealing to the Arewa Consultative Forum, under which auspices our distinguished Nigerians are here; in recent times, they have been sending wrong signals to a number of us who believe in the unity and peace of Nigeria; you have been too critical of the efforts of the Federal Government. I am saying this because Nigeria, at this point, cannot afford to break and the words you northern leaders utter are very weighty, at the South here, we normally analyze them critically”. On all the allegations, he said: “From what they have written in the petition, this government is completely blameless because we don’t interfere either with the judiciary or with the police functions. I always preach peaceful co-existence in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole. We are all Nigerians and that is what we have been preaching all along and we shall continue to be Nigerians , no matter the present or immediate problems which will be solved by the grace of Allah. “I want to say also that we really have to appeal to our people, the itinerant Bororo people, that they should observe less aggression. It is not good , it is not right just coming from somewhere then you just pass through farm lands cultivated may be with the person’s life savings and then over night everything is gone. That is not right, even Allah does not approve of that. We even wonder when they talk about this people carrying dangerous weapons, I say do they really believe in Allah? When you just take life like that and go away! Are we not forbidden not to take human life? So I think General Buhari, General Marwa, you have to be educating them… It is my pleasure to inform you that at the Presidential Lodge, we have made some arrangements for refreshments so that before you go we can refresh together”. Buhari and his team did not wait for any refreshments. They came in angry and left bewildered. ADIEU! GREAT LAM! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2012/11/day-lam-adesina-clashed-with-buhari-marwa-others/amp/ 2 Likes 2 Shares

Politics / VIDEO: Sunday Igboho Mocks Pastor Adeboye After Son’s Death by Ihateniggov: 1:57pm On May 09, 2021 |
Popular Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Igboho has mocked Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, over the sudden death of his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye. Sunday Igboho said he would not greet or sympathize with Adeboye over the demise of Dare because the General Overseer does not support Yoruba nation. Igboho did not mince words when he rained curses on any leader or Pastor who refuse to support the secession agenda, saying God will kill their children and wives. He said this during a live Facebook broadcast with his media aide, Olayomi Koiki, on Saturday night. Koiki had asked the activist to send some words to Adeboye through the live video, to sympathise with him over the death of his son. But, Sunday Igboho appeared infuriated by Koiki’s request as he asked if the man of God had declared his support for Yoruba nation. He said: “Has Baba supported Yoruba nation that we will now be greeting him? We don’t need to greet Adeboye. What is my own with that? We are not doing church here. This is not religion. “Pastor Adeboye didn’t speak about Yoruba nation. Look at the number of crowd in Baba Adeboye’s church. Is he not supposed to tell all of them to join Yoruba nation? We don’t need to greet him. “God himself will start asking questions from all the enemies of the Yoruba race. By the grace of God, anybody who says Yoruba will not get to the promised land, God will kill their children and wives and their entire family.” “Anybody who does not support Yoruba nation, those who have powers, be it pastors or anybody that has the followers, but does not support Yoruba nation, God I call on you; you’re the one who owns me and the creator of everything. Those elders who see our sufferings, who see that the Fulanis are kidnapping us and collecting ransom, but choose not to support us, as you kill their children, kill their wives. So shall it be!” Sunday Igboho emphasised. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEA-hrNkiz8 |

NaijirianKing: I sincerely would have loved to reply you but your opinion is dumb(sorry to say). But anyways let me say this; Nobody says the Fulanis shouldn't live in other part of the country but they must adhere to the rules of the host community and not cause nuisance like in the case of increased banditry in Zamfara, Kaduna, Benue and other Northern States, the South West will not tolerate that or tell me can a Southerner come to the North and start kidnapping your kins? Everybody knows what would have happened if such a thing happens. Or maybe you should allow Southerners to sell alcoholic drinks and cigarettes since what is good for the goose is good for the gander. And at this time and age if you think the average Southerner think about one Nigeria, then you Fulanis are sleeping on the bicycle and one more important thing; whenever you are mentioning the Northern States please don't add North Central in your analysis again because we both know the North Central are not predominantly North. Next time you speak, speak with common sense and not like a common illiterate Fulani whose hypocritical nature has beclouded his sense of reasoning I won't be honouring you with any more comments, you can continue to live in your terrorised Northern States and leave our Southern States for us to enjoy. Thank you. 7 Likes |

Politics / My Findings About The Fulanis/Hausas That Came To Okitipupa. by Ihateniggov: 1:26pm On May 03, 2021 |
I have carried out my independent findings and I find the following as facts and true... 1. That behind the Army Barracks, Hausas and Fulani numbering over 3,000 are occupying the Army Barracks land and built houses there where they live. 2. That the fulanis/Hausas that we saw 4days ago who were arrested and transported to Akure by Amotekun, didn't come that day, but have been coming in batches day before that day. 3. That as at yesterday, another set came and are already in the army barracks. 4. That the total number of vehicle that brought them was 31. (One should wonder how come no security agency stopped them on their way) 5. That when they got to okitipupa, they headed straight to the Army Barracks, where they are expected to stay for reason best known to those who sent them. 6. That the soldiers at d barracks refused to allow them entry. But later a signal came from above, which directed d C. O of d barracks to allow them into the barracks. 7. That the time it took for d C. O to receive d signal caused d said fulanis/Hausas to stay a long time at d gate of d barracks, and this gave their presence out to people and d chairman of local government and Amotekun were alerted. 8. By the time d C. O told them to enter into d barracks, the Amotekun and Local government chairman were already there to question whatever thing was happening there. 9. The soldiers allowed d chairman to question d said strangers and during d interview, they said they belong to a security network and are sent to the barracks to receive training. 10. The chairman asked them if they are soldiers and how come they are to be trained by soldiers when they are not security agents. (They could not answer d questions) 11. Apart from saying that they are members of an unknown security network, they have no other reasonable reason for coming into okitipupa in that large number. 12. As a matter of fact, they are about 1,000 in number and if they are added to the existing numbers in d Army barracks bush, we will be having about 4,000 fulanis/Hausas in okitipupa. (That figure is enough to run down d entire southern senatorial district and the entire southwest of nigeria) My conclusion: The federal government under Buhari surely has a mission. As it is, the southwest of nigeria has been surrounded. You may choose not to believe me, but I'm sure of what I am saying. Amotekun is not enough, we need more volunteer security groups like Eastern security network (ESN) LET EVERYBODY START LOOKING FOR GUNS. We must also be watchful, lest we are caught unaware. As for me, I know what to do when d time comes. This govt is a terrorist govt. Wale Odusola, a Legal Practitioner, writes from Okitipupa, Ondo State -YorubaNation 76 Likes 14 Shares |

Politics / Obasanjo's Stance On Fulani Killers Is His Opinion, Not The True Omoluabis' by Ihateniggov: 12:48pm On Apr 05, 2021 |
Obasanjo was president of Nigeria for 11 solid years. During this time, he seized all the properties of the western region and nationalized it into the property of the Fulani government of Nigeria. WNTV, University of Ife, Apapa port, cocoa board, indigenous lands, farm settlements etc were nationalized by this man. Madam Fela and Bola Ige were both assassinated during his regime. Nobody was brought to book for this atrocities. OBJ was president of Nigeria for 11 years, and he couldn't complete a 20km road project in the whole of Yorubaland which is the economic powerhouse of west Africa. OBJ was president for 11 years, he used his power to destroy the quest for true federalism and fiscal federalism. Instead, he wanted to become life president. The Yoruba Nation meant nothing to him but a pawn to achieve his own goals. He hated Awolowo with bile and was full of vindictiveness against Abiola. Fela was his enemy likewise Wole Soyinka. Is that the man some illiterates are seeing as a Yoruba leader? Or a role model? Is that the man some illiterates are seeing as a Yoruba leader? Or a role model? Politics / Group Introduces Currency For Proposed Yoruba Nation - Sahara Reporters (Pic) by Ihateniggov: 11:34am On Mar 22, 2021 |
“Oduduwa National Currency shall be called 'FADAKA' Meaning Silver .. or short as just 'FAD' Here is a 20 Fadaka Sample Banknote.” BY SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORKMAR 21, 2021 Agroup agitating the independence of the Yoruba nation on Twitter has introduced the currency for the proposed Yoruba nation, Oduduwa Republic. The group posted the image of the proposed currency on its Twitter handle @OduduwaRepublic, on Sunday. The tweet read: “Oduduwa National Currency shall be called 'FADAKA' Meaning Silver .. or short as just 'FAD' Here is a 20 Fadaka Sample Banknote.” SaharaReporters earlier reported how Yoruba Historian, Banji Akintoye alongside freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo (Igboho) declared the sovereignty of the Yoruba nation recently. Akintoye and Igboho, among other Yoruba leaders stated that the Yoruba nation can be independent and yet, thrive. Professor Akintoye said the most important thing for the Yoruba nation is to learn to work towards its sovereignty. According to him, this is not a time to discuss issues surrounding restructuring, resource control or a new constitution but rather to secede from Nigeria. He urged all Yoruba patriots to work together for the independence of the Yoruba nation, urging the young ones not to involve violence but peaceful deliberations. “We have declared that sovereignty now but we must work together. We have just talked about what the Yoruba nation is suffering in Nigeria. There should be no reason why we cannot all work together to extricate ourselves from this rubble that Nigeria has become. “My advice to young people is to gather together, speak to leaders hesitating about Nigeria, there is no reason for any Yoruba person to be talking about restructuring or a new constitution or resource control, the game is up, we have seen enough of Nigeria, we have decided our status in the world today, we have moved forward, let us move smoothly without any violence, don't fight anyone. There should be no war, we are going to have a separate Yoruba conference very soon.” Igboho, also said the South-West states were no longer under Nigeria. He urged Yoruba people living in other parts of the country to return to the South-West. He said, “All the Yoruba youth in this land support our father (Banji Akintoye). We are in support because we know that these are our real fathers who understand that we are fighting for our rights against people that are disturbing us on our land. If we meet any Fulani herdsman, we are ready to face and destroy them starting from now, if any policeman attacks us for that, we are ready for them. “We are ready to challenge a country that has nothing for the Yoruba people, we are taking back our territory. I meet with 5 years old, 6 years old children, that have no fathers, mothers, nothing, these children smoke Indian hemp, this country is finished, we don't want Nigeria again, we want the Yoruba nation, we don't fear anybody, we fear only God, enough is enough. “Fulanis are cheating us, they rape our women, make videos of that so we can see. Benin Republic is not up to Osun State, and they are living in peace, there is security. Yoruba citizens are going to work as maids there, some of our people are even sent back when they don't have their papers. When some of us here were little, Ghanaians come here to work as cobblers, but now, Yorubas are asked to leave “No Yoruba person holds a major political position in Nigeria, this is the 14th year a Yoruba man was the Inspector-General of Police, no Yoruba man was ever a Chief of Army Staff, no Yoruba has been in that position. Hausa Fulani heads everything, instead, they gave us the position of Vice President that cannot make any major decision. “All Yoruba citizens are in support of our move to secede, Banji Akintoye, Afenifere, the Yorubas know about it, any of them that says he is not in support should make a video and refute this claim. “If we learn that a soldier or police touches one of us, there will be trouble, we don't want Fulani herdsmen, they should go their way. From tomorrow, we will go from place to place and sensitize people about security, we won't see Fulani again. “These herdsmen go about to destroy our crops and then end up selling food to us, is that not slavery? The average Seriki Fulani palace is bigger than that of a Yoruba king. We thank the Olubadan for disempowering a Seriki Fulani and placed him under a Baale. What the Fulanis do here, no Yoruba citizen can do such in the North. Why are we slaves in our land? “There are Yorubas in different countries of the world. We plead with the United Nations to separate us from Nigeria before it turns to war, if they don't come, it will be worse than this. As it stands now, we are no longer Nigeria, we are no longer under dictatorial government, we sleep in fear, eat in fear, are we slaves? “Some say Yoruba people are not united, we are! If you want to try us, touch one of us. Any king that says he is not with us, should make a video and make his claim. Yoruba citizens in Hausa land, come back homes this suffering is enough.” http://saharareporters.com/2021/03/21/group-introduces-currency-proposed-yoruba-nation
