I have been researching on this opportunity card since the day it was launched in June cos I knew about it before the launching.i have gather some information.the only hurdle I have is getting a job over there cos i don't want to take the route of proof of fund.the money is plenty.for the german language, English proficiency , certificate recognition is not an issue beside the IT sector which is not a regulated sector in Germany do not need certificate recognition but it's an added advantage for the sake of the embassy.

Do you know how to get the Germany proficiency certificate? Where to learn. What are your plans?

The application form you filled online and downloaded as PDF is the VIDEX. Instead of filling the form manually, the embassy developed the tool called VIDEX which enable you to fill it online. If you check the link, you will see videx is included in the url.

So what exactly am I supposed to do after applying for appointment for opportunity card.

Even if it takes two years to get an appointment, it can be attributed to strict anti migration laws by the country. Just like Germany has Category A and Category B when it comes to student visas appointment dates. Category A gets dates within two weeks of application while Category B takes like 21 months. This is because they have set their priorities.
But this Portugal jobseekers that vsf will announce the date for booking and people will be glued to their screens waiting for date to be available? I think it is worse.

I don’t think Nigeria is to be blamed totally for this.
It’s vsf global and also Portuguese consulate in Nigeria or whatever that should be blamed chiefly.
But I think it’s because they don’t rate Nigeria at all.
People has been complaining about this for a while now and they have refused to do anything about it.
Take Germany Visa appointment date for instance, it takes quite a long time to get a date if you’re not in Category A but it is transparent enough to make you how it works.

People in the US now sef no dey see work and that's with English o. Then imagine Germany where the language barrier might be an issue. I will rather try to get a job from Nigeria. Opportunity Card doesn’t cost 20 million.
The only point I agree with you is the language barrier so anyone coming to Germany should start learning Germany.
The 12k euro for blocked account is still your money naw, in fact, you don’t even need it if you can get someone in Germany that can write a sponsorship letter for you.
Lastly, you and I know that it’s very very hard to get a tech job in these countries from Nigeria.
