vivian chinaza: I'm struggling to move on from a broken relationship....I loved and still in love with my ex but since he made it pretty clear that he is marrying someone else, I have to move on. I cut all contacts with him tho I still miss him a lot. One funny thing is he likes my younger ones and they love him too. In fact, they call him and all that. I'm tRying so haRd to be cool about it..... ShoulD I let them be friends or banish him from our lives? How can I be cool about this without meddling? Pls guys help me out .....

I know how it feels because I have been there. I didn't want to be in the relationship and he was trying to be close to me in anyway possible. To make this worse he was sort of a family friend. I tried to act ignorant and not let it bother me because the conditions surrounding the break up, but after a few weeks I had to say something to my sibling and I did. After that day, he was cut off completely and I could get him out of my mind.
Its not easy to let go and move on when you are constantly reminded of ur ex and your family should be more sensitive to your situation!
I'm sure after a while you'll get over him and his friendship with your siblings won't bother you, but till then you have every right to talk to your siblings about it and make them understand how this is affecting you.

Afam you are correct there are independent, artistic films that cannot be classified as Hollywood as these type of movies are for a select audience. I know this being in the Arts.

As I have said from the start, Half of a Yellow Sun is a Nigerian movie (read the title of the thread). At least to me.

He sounds too emotional to be in a serious relationship. The fact that he didn't bother about you while you were admitted to the hospital, but rather sought to justify his claims on how fake you are shows you the person that he is. If you can live with it then fine, its up to you.
