Agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have discovered the sum of N2.5 billion in a bank account opened in the name of a housemaid to former Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, who is now a senator representing Anambra State in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Two senior EFCC sources told our correspondent that the bank account and its huge deposits had been opened and operated without the knowledge of the former minister’s housemaid. “Senator Oduah apparently opened the account with her housemaid’s name, image, and details without the housemaid knowing about it,” said one EFCC agent familiar with the scandal.
Another EFCC source says that Ms. Oduah had been going around to some top officials of the Muhammadu Buhari administration seeking their help to scuttle her impending trial. Last week, she asked for a meeting with EFCC chairman Ibrahim Magu, claiming she wanted to meet in her official capacity as a senator.
The two EFCC sources who briefed our correspondent on the “housemaid” account disclosed that Ms. Oduah was the sole signatory to the account, adding that they were still connecting the dots to uncover how the ex-Aviation Minister managed to pull off such a money laundering operation.“As of last week, the account was still active and contained over N2.5 billion,” said one EFCC source. He added that he could not ascertain whether the EFCC chairman, who is currently traveling in Saudi Arabia for lesser hajj, had ordered the freezing of the account.
One of our EFCC sources revealed that the discovery of the “maid” account meant that the former minister must have stolen as much as N5.6 billion so far from the Aviation Ministry’s funds during her ministerial term.
We had revealed in earlier reports that EFCC investigators had so far determined that Ms. Oduah split N3.6 billion that she acquired illegally among eight companies.
In August 2015, Ms. Oduah filed an application at a Federal High Court to stop the EFCC from investigating allegations that she bought two ostensibly bulletproof BMW cars at $1.6 million, or $800,000 apiece. A controversial judge, Justice Mohammed Yunusa, initially granted the order sought by Senator Oduah. However, in February 2016, after Justice Yunusa was transferred out of Lagos, another federal high court judge vacated the order, permitting the EFCC to carry on with its investigation.
We had broken the report about the BMW scam during Ms. Oduah’s ministerial tenure. Several BMW dealers in Europe and North America told our reporters that what the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) paid for the two BMW cars far exceeded the price ranges for such bulletproof automobiles.
Ms. Oduah is a close ally of embattled Senate President Bukola Saraki, who is the defendant in two criminal trials in Abuja pertaining to forgery and false declaration of assets.

Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti state, has made a grave allegation against President Muhammadu Buhari, saying his wife, Aisha Buhari, was involved in the Halliburton Scandal.
Is it true?
Fayose alleged that this Aisha Buhari was responsible for transferring $170,000 to an account linked to Williams Jefferson, the prime culprit in the bribery scandal.
In a government sentencing memorandum issued by the Alexandria division of the United States district court for the eastern district of Virginia in 2008, the US justice department confirmed the transaction.
“Government Exhibits 36-87 (6/26/02 $170,000 wire transfer from account in Nigeria in the name of Aisha Buhari to an account in the name of The ANJ Group, LLC, identifying “William Jefferson” as Beneficiary),” the memo said.
IS THIS PRESIDENT BUHARI’S WIFE?
A story by New York Times in 2007, detailing the track of this Aisha Buhari, did not say she was the president’s wife, but that shed claimed to be his daughter.
Joshua Assiba, an African migrant who knew the Aisha in question, said she was a very affluent woman who spent thousands of dollars shopping at a pharmacy in the US.
Assiba, who was a security guard at the time, said he struck up a conversation with Aisha and subsequently became friends, adding that “she told him that her father was the former military ruler of Nigeria, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, and that her American friends included politicians like Mr. Jefferson of Louisiana”.
The international passport of the said Aisha, obtained by TheCable, also shows she is not the same as Aisha the president’s wife.
The faces are clearly not alike.
But her claims that she is the president’s daughter would look credible to anyone.
According to the passport numbered A034120637, Aisha is surnamed Buhari, and has a given name Mohammadu, not Muhammadu as the president spells his name, and was born in Daura on August 4, 1975 – four years younger than the president’s wife, who was born in February, 1971.
The passport was issued by the Nigerian embassy in Washington DC on January 19, 2012 – and neither the president’s wife nor his daughter ever lived in the US, and could not reasonably have travelled to the US to obtain a Nigerian passport.
BORN IN DAURA? IS THAT IT?
The president was born in Daura, Katsina state, so was this Aisha, according to the information page on the passport. This shows another disparity, in that the president’s wife was born in Adamawa, not Daura. But with Buhari from Daura, a link could still be suspected.
However, Nuhu Ribadu, pioneer chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), had said in 2007 that the Aisha Buhari involved in the scam was in no way related to the retired general as she claimed.
Ribadu added that he was uncertain if her true name is Aisha Mohammadu Buhari, and that Buhari already said he had no ties to her.
“I don’t have any relationship with that Aisha Buhari. I don’t have any daughter called Aisha Buhari living outside this country. She is not my daughter,” New York Times quoted the president as saying.
Buhari’s fifth daughter, Aisha, was born in 1990 and named after her mother, who is Buhari’s second wife.
Buhari’s first wife, the late Safinatu, had four daughters: Zulaihat, Fatima, Hadiza, and Safinatu. They divorced in 1988.
Aisha also had four daughters: Aisha, Halima, Zarah and Amina.
WILL PROBING HALLIBURTON SCAM UNVEIL THIS AISHA?
President Buhari had through Femi Adesina, his special adviser on media and publicity, said the president would not probe beyond his predecessor, effectively cutting out the Halliburton scam.
“It would be a distraction for the president to begin digging into all former administrations but for a proper take-off of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, there is the need to look into the immediate past government,” Adesina said.
In the light of recurring revelations about the high and mighty, and an attempt to tarnish the president’s image that one of his daughters or relatives was involved in the scandal, Nigerians are calling for a probe of one of the most notorious bribery scandals in Nigeria’s history.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will soon invite Feyisetan Fayose, wife of Ayo Fayose Ekiti state governor, PUNCH is reporting.
The newspaper said the first lady of Ekiti allegedly received N100m through an account which is operated by her and her husband.
It quoted the agency as saying the money, which emanated from the account of the office of Sambo Dasuki, former national security adviser, was paid into the Zenith Bank account of Spotless Investment Limited on June 17, 2014, less than a week to the June 21 governorship election in Ekiti.


The money was paid into the company’s account with bank teller number 0540997 by one Abiodun Agbele, said to be an associate of the governor.
The two signatories to Spotless Investment Limited’s account are said to be Fayose and his wife.
“N100m was paid into the Spotless Investment Limited account with number 1010170969 at Zenith Bank. The two signatories are Fayose, with Bank Verification Number 22338867502, and his wife, Helen Olayemi, with BVN 22298990256,” the newspaper quoted a detective as saying.
As a sitting governor, Fayose cannot be prosecuted or arrested because he enjoys immunity.
“His wife, however, has no immunity,” the official reportedly said.
Fayose has denied collecting any money from Dasuki, saying Zenith Bank sponsored his election.
He dared the EFCC to produce evidence that he benefitted from the controversial arms deal.
The governor accused the agency of “acting a movie being scripted by the government of President Muhammadu Buhari”, but said he will fight to the end.

“Making sure your makeup is hypoallergenic and noncomedogenic is very important,” She said.
“If you know you aren’t the best at washing your face at night, at least make sure what you had on during the day isn’t going to be doing any further harm. Mineral makeup is generally free of toxic, pore clogging ingredients.”
Ultimately, the effects of sleeping in makeup will result in premature ageing.
“If we avoid washing our face at night, stress and pollution-induced oxidative damage will break down the integrity of the skin, resulting in premature damage,: Bound said.
“It is nearly impossible to see where our cells are in the turnover process, so it is better to play it safe and care for your skin regularly.”
