I'm still a wacko jacko fan - see the icon in my profile.
Jacko rules...
nice icon mate cheesy

He definitely knows the business, (shame he lost the plot). Saw him in concert in the early 90s and it still ranks as the best live show i've ever seen. I still remember the first time i saw the video for 'Billie Jean' (back in the days of NTA2 and the LWT musical video show grin) i can still do those moves o grin grin

His newer work is still OK, but no longer of the level of his earlier stuff. I've been to two of his concerts, the most amazing performance you can imagine (haven't had a chance to go to an afterparty, though undecided )
Shame i never saw him live but i've seen his performances on TV so i can imagine what it'll be like.

AguNwoke:
Good for taxi music though grin
grin have to admit i did go through an Abba phase too back then, i remember 'Dancing queen' quite well

And still on the 80s who was a big Michael Jackson fan back then (before he was 'bad' and 'dangerous') come on you can admit it  smiley

and then he went through that crazy phase in the 90s when he changed his name to a sign. (thats when i moved on  smiley)

FamilyRe: Male Gender - Whats Up With This Mother & Son Bond? by ijebuman(m): 12:29am On Jan 19, 2006
That was about a child killing his mother. undecided
no It is defined as a child's unconscious desire for the exclusive love of the parent of the opposite sex (mother). This desire includes jealousy toward the parent of the same sex (father) and the unconscious wish for that parent's death (father).

Freud was a very strange guy....
InvestmentRe: Retirement Plan by ijebuman(m): 12:24am On Jan 19, 2006
You should start planning for retirement now. I've been investing in a private pension plan since i was 26 (and thats not even early enough over here  smiley). Although the UK has a state pension scheme (i.e National insurance scheme), the government expects people to join a company run scheme or set up a private pension plan to supplement the state pension.

In addition to a pension plan, if you understand the stock market you can invest in shares and mutual funds or invest in property. The whole point is that you have something you can rely on when you can no longer work. In this day and age it would be foolhardy for anyone to expect that they will rely on their kids when they grow old.
I was looking for this thread. At last i found it.

Well, my friend just told us something totally stupid today. Although she said it was her psychology teacher that said it.

She was like.. The Psych teacher said, there's a bond between a mother and young male child. We were like.. Duhh, why wouldn't there be? And she goes.. "nooo, not like that". He said this bond is bigger than mother, son bond. I was like.. cheesy cheesy cheesy And then she went ahead, saying.. the psych teacher told them that.. this kind of love wears off as the child grows.. but when the child is an infant, the mother feel some deeper love for the child. As in kind of sexual sorta feeling. She said the psych teacher was saying something about, the mother breast-feeding the child and all that. (that reminded me of the thread about mother's breast-feeding their sons).
Ah hot-angel i see you've been learning about Sigmund Freud and the Oedipus complex. I'll let you check out wiki for more about it grin grin

CareerRe: Understanding Telecommuting, Telecommuters, Telecommute Jobs by ijebuman(m): 5:13pm On Jan 18, 2006
Telecommuting means working from home and allows for a flexible working arrangement especially as regards to the hours you prefer to work. I work at home 2 to 3 days a week (thats why i'm on NL a lot wink). I probably do more work at home as there's less distraction, no phones ringing, no meetings etc.

It is not an IT term as it applies to any job that provides the flexibility of working from home
