Abuja—The Amalgamated Arewa Youth Groups (AAYG), a Coalition of 225 Youth Groups in the North that operates at home and in the diaspora, has expressed dismay over the award of a pipeline surveillance contract to Mr. Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, Vanguard newspaper reports.

The youth group said it was a rude shock that the former leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, would be awarded such a multi-million dollar contract.

Comrade Victor Duniya, Spokesman of AAYG, said in a statement that “our group gathered that the said contract is meant to end illegal bunkering, illegal refining and other forms of oil theft in the Niger Delta.”

The group said it was particularly concerned that in the early days of President Buhari’s administration, there was the uncontrolled bombing of oil facilities in the Niger Delta, which contributed in so small measure to dragging Nigeria into recession.

The group recalled that a national daily attributed the award of the contract to the roles allegedly played by some major stakeholders in the oil sector.

“Our group sees the awarded contract as an empowerment scheme for Niger Delta youths and nothing more. This is in addition to the billions of Naira that are being spent in the failed Amnesty Program that is exclusively reserved for them.

“This is against the spirit and letters of our constitution that advocates for federal character in all government dealings,” they said.

“From the above background, we, therefore, make the following demands: That the Niger Delta youths should choose either the Tompolo contract or the Presidential Amnesty Program. As we can’t continue to fold our arms and watch the government spend her scarce resources on few …elements.”

The group urged President Muhammadu Buhari to sack those promoting ethnic and regional interest over National interest, and those who use their office to reward criminality and treasonable tendencies instead of patriotism.

The group observed that each region in the country is faced with its peculiar challenges, hence the NNPC Limited and the Federal Government should vote out 4 billion Naira monthly, for Youths of the 5 other geopolitical Zones that are not beneficiaries of the NNPC Limited gift to Niger Delta Youths.

“That we will be forced to take both physical protest and legal actions if the NNPC Limited and the Federal Government fail to revoke the awarded Contract to Tompolo’s firm in the next Seven days,’ they said.

It will be recalled that Tompolo was awarded similar contract under the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Ijaw produce over 90 percent of Nigerias crude oil both onshore and offshore because we are the ones that mainly occupy Nigerias coastlines apart from the ones on Ijaw mainland.



They pay Tompolo 4 billion per month, that's 48 billion in a year and Nigeria make 16 trillion, 392 billion, 870 million oo kobo every year.


But give just 48 billion
To Tompolo and he is happy and have pack all so called gra gra group around am to help destroy Ijaws in the name of oil thief.

N2.6b Debt: NBC directs 52 broadcasting stations to shut down operations + Full list

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) Friday, directed 52 broadcast organizations, including AIT, Silverbird, Lagos State Broadcasting Corporation and 49 others to shut down their operations, due to accumulated they are owing the agency.  ,

NBC Director-General Balarabe Ilelah, made the directive while briefing journalists Friday in Abuja, putting the sum debt at not less than N2.6bn.

Ilelah ordered that  the television and radio stations affected must halt operations in the next 24 hours.

Carries the 350 villages and settlements of the Egbema subgroup of Ijaw.

4. WARE PROVINCE.

Comprises of the whole Ijaws of the Nigeria's Warri lgas, with the subtraction of the part of Egbema of Warri North,

It comprises the Gbaramatu, Ogbe-Ijoh and Isaba clans.

5. TORU-IBE PROVINCE
Carries the whole Ijaw clans in Nigeria's
Burutu area.

6. BOMADI PROVINCE.

Comprises the whole Ijaws in Nigeria's Patani area.

Carries the 103 towns of Nigeria's Koluama district in Southern Ijaw area

Carries the remaining 73 towns in Oporoma district of Nigeria's Southern Ijaw area.

4. NORTHERN IJAW PROVINCE.
Carries all the Ijaw in Nigeria's Kolokuma/Opokuma area Yenagoa area, and the Engenni clan of Nigeria's Ahoada West.

Carries the whole Ogbia Ijaw subgroup.

Carries the whole Nembe Ijaw subgroup of Nigeria's Nembe and Brass area,

Carries the whole Ijaws of the Akassa subgroup.
