1nigeriamyfoot: What makes you think they someone who's earning 800k per year is supposed to be paying tax?
Can 800k feed you, cloth you, transport you for a year?
800k per year means 2191naira per day
Cheapest cut of meat is 500naira in roadside canteen. A plate of rice in item is 3k naira with one small cut chicken, a small cut of friend plantain, & rice. Smallest size loaf of good bread is 1500naira. How much tax will a Nigerian earning 200k per month pay from January 2026? |

NaijaphiliaBlog: The Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB) has approved a de minimis threshold value of $300 for low-value consignments imported via express shipments or passenger baggage.
This was announced on Sunday 7 September 2025 by the National Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Nigeria Customs Service, Abdullahi Maiwada.
According to him, the decision was taken at the NCSB’s 63rd regular meeting on 02 September 2025, chaired by Wale Edun, minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy.
He added that the decision takes effect on 8 September 2025 and aligns with global best practices that aim to simplify clearance processes for low-value consignments, enhance trade facilitation, and provide clarity for e-commerce stakeholders and travellers.
“Under the new regulation, goods valued at $300 or less will be exempted from import duties and taxes, provided they are not prohibited or restricted items.”

Travel › Re: ⭕️⭕️Ruth Itabor Killed By Dangote Truck, FG Silent… FG focused only on 2027!⭕️⭕️ by Ikaeniyan0: 5:31pm On Sep 02, 2025 |
malali: The death of Ruth Itabor Phyna’s sister, struck down by a Dangote truck, has been met with a deafening silence from Nigerian authorities. That silence is not mere negligence, it is complicity.
How can a state, whose first duty is to protect its citizens, look away from the blood repeatedly spilled on its highways by poorly regulated, overworked, and often recklessly managed trucks belonging to the nation’s largest conglomerate? These deaths are not accidents anymore; they are predictable outcomes of a broken system where power trumps accountability.
What we are witnessing is the normalization of tragedy. The attitude from those in charge appears to be: “It is easier for Nigerians to die than for Dangote’s empire to face oversight.” This logic is not only cowardly but corrosive, it signals that there are two Nigerias: one where ordinary people can perish without consequence, and another where wealth shields institutions from scrutiny.
Nigeria is not the only African country with trucks on its roads. Ghana has trucks. Kenya has trucks. South Africa has trucks. Yet our roads are graveyards, our headlines littered with body counts. Why? Because in Nigeria, systemic impunity has been allowed to metastasize. Because the state has ceded its moral authority to corporations who operate beyond the reach of law.
The death of Ruth Itabor should not be reduced to just another statistic that trends for 48 hours and fades. It should be the catalyst for real reform. Mandatory safety audits. Strict licensing. Independent oversight boards. Enforcement that bites, not selective outrage followed by silence.
This is not just about Dangote. It is about the value of Nigerian lives. Are we to accept that Nigerians must continue to die simply because holding powerful interests accountable is “inconvenient”?
The truth is simple: when government refuses to act, it is no longer neutral, it is complicit. And complicity is betrayal.
If we cannot protect our citizens from the wheels of corporate recklessness, then we are not a nation. We are simply a marketplace where the poor are expendable and the rich are untouchable.
This moment, painful, raw, and tragic, should be a turning point. Let Ruth Tabor’s death not be swept away by silence. Let it be remembered as the point Nigerians demanded that their lives matter more than trucks, profits, and political cowardice.
THE SILENCE IS DEAFENING. It's there a time the federal government has talk because someone get killed by a truck? |

Politics › Re: Goodluck Jonathan Cabinet Ministers 2011 by Ikaeniyan0: 9:31am On Aug 31, 2025 |
OredoPikin: In July 2011, after the start of his term, Jonathan appointed a new cabinet. Attached below is the list of ministers, their region, their states, portfolio and Grades Grade A (ministers) Grade B (ministers of state).
In the South South He appointed 5 ministers 4 grade A 1 grade B
In the South East He appointed 6 ministers 5 grade A 1 grade B
In the South West He appointed 7 ministers 5 grade A 2 grade B
In the North East He appointed 4 ministers 3 grade A 1 grade B
In the North Central He appointed 6 ministers 4 grade A 2 grade B
In the North West He appointed 7 ministers 5 grade A 2 grade B
Looking at the list, it is very unfair for the South West to continue lieing that their region was sidelined during the time of GEJ. The South West Region actually had more ministers (7) than the other 2 regions from the south. They had equal 5 grade A ministers like South East and North West. Yet they come online and lie, running propagandas that the reason they didn't vote GEJ in 2015 was because they were sidelined. Which was a very clear and obvious lies.
Every lies and propaganda always has an expiry date and this particular lie has expired today Who's sponsoring you? Abi you're just bitter because a Yoruba Muslim is the president of Nigeria? |

PresidObi: 🟢 PETER GREGORY OBI: THE PRESIDENT WITHOUT A TITLE, BUT WITH A NATION IN HIS HEART 🇳🇬
While Nigeria suffers under bad leadership, one man has quietly done more than those in power—with his personal funds! No office, no allocation—just love for the people.
Here’s what Peter Obi has spent from his own pocket in just 1 year (2024–2025):
🔹 South South – ₦2.5 Billion+ – ₦500m to Delta universities – Health centres in Rivers – Boreholes in Cross River
🔹 South West – ₦1.8 Billion – ₦1bn to Lagos hospitals – Education aid in Ogun – Orphanage support in Oyo
🔹 South East – ₦1 Billion+ – ₦1bn to Anambra schools – Hospitals in Enugu/Imo – Flood relief in Ebonyi
🔹 North Central – ₦1.2 Billion – ₦300m to Benue IDPs – Schools in Kogi – Health programs in Plateau
🔹 North East – ₦900 Million – Aid to Borno/Yobe refugees – School rebuilding in Adamawa
🔹 North West – ₦700 Million – Kano hospitals – Education in Kaduna – Poverty programs in Sokoto
🔴 TOTAL: ₦8.1 BILLION+ — from ONE MAN, not the government!
APC and the ruling class with all their budgets, loans, and power can’t match this! Yet they fear Obi… why?
Because: ✅ He exposes their lies with action ✅ He can’t be bought or controlled ✅ He has awakened the masses
💥 This next election, we vote not for tribe or party, but for truth, sacrifice, and leadership by example.
📢 Let the world know:
> Peter Gregory Obi may not be your president yet—but he’s already the leader Nigeria needs!
Copy and forward if you believe Nigeria deserves better! 🇳🇬
✍️ Dr. Marshall Odede He did no tangible thing as the governor of Anambra state |
