Peter Obi and the Pandora Papers
Peter Obi, who has also served two terms as governor - in his case in the eastern Anambra state, does not hide his immense wealth, which he says has been made through banking and importing various goods into Nigeria.

Dubbed "Mr Clean" by his supporters for being a rare Nigerian politician without accusations of embezzling public funds, it came as a surprise to many when his name came up in 2021 in the Pandora Papers. This was a leak of almost 12 million documents that revealed the hidden wealth, tax avoidance and, in some cases, allegations of money laundering by some of the world's rich and powerful.

Nigeria's Premium Times, one of the newspapers that worked on the Pandora Papers investigation, alleged the documents showed that in 2010, when Mr Obi was Anambra governor, he set up a company, named after his daughter, in the British Virgin Islands to help him avoid tax.

Making use of a tax haven is not illegal, though setting up foreign bank accounts when serving as a public officer is not allowed.

The Premium Times said this showed Mr Obi had failed to declare his assets, and it also alleged that he had failed to resign from the UK-registered company Next International, of which he was director when he became governor - engaging in private business, which is not allowed for public officers. His resignation was registered 14 months into his term.

The 61-year-old has never been charged over any of the revelations.

Mr Obi told the BBC an impeachment trial had investigated the allegations surrounding his business affairs in 2006 and found he had acted within the law.

He added that he had established a blind trust to oversee his business arrangements, including the family's offshore holdings. "A blind trust is allowed within the law," he said.

Mr Obi has also been accused of a conflict of interest after investing $20m of state funds while governor in a brewery, in which his family hold shares through Next.

He denies the allegations, saying the investment greatly benefited Anambra over the years.

There has also been criticism that Anambra invested in Fidelity Bank, where he was once chairman.

"Anambra state invested in Fidelity Bank, where I have interests, because it is a public quoted company," he told the BBC, dismissing any suggestion that any of the revelations about his finances cast doubt about his fitness for office

HealthRe: Sex Enhancement Drugs: Expert Exposes Killer Mixtures That Send Men To Early Gra by Ikaeniyan0: 11:22am On Jul 06, 2025
ManirBK:
In the vibrant, unrelenting activities of
Kano’s commercial heart where hawkers
chant, engines roar, and life moves at full
throttle, there’s a quiet and deadly crisis
creeping beneath the surface.
It’s not an outbreak or an act of violence
like thuggery that is ravaging the state. It’s a
choice—one made out of desperation,
misinformation, and pressure. It’s the rising
abuse of sex enhancement drugs.
This growing trend, mostly hidden behind
the veil of shame and societal silence is
killing men with the use of pills and “herbal
mixture,” in a single night.
DAILY POST gathered that while many men
had died while having their time with women
in many hotels, some had died ‘on top’ or
still battling with complications that resulted
from such sex activities influenced by
enhancement drugs.
A.I. Umar, a consultant production
pharmacist and Deputy Director at the Drugs
Manufacturing Unit, Aminu Kano Teaching
Hospital, confirmed to DAILY POST that the
situation is now a full-blown public health
emergency.
“What we’re witnessing is a reckless
reliance on unregulated aphrodisiacs,
especially those sold by street vendors with
no medical background,” Pharmacist Umar
Lamented.
“These vendors mix synthetic, prescription-
strength drugs like Viagra and Vega into so-
called herbal remedies, creating highly toxic
and unpredictable combinations,” he
warned.
The deadly mix behind closed doors
DAILY POST observes that these
concoctions are marketed as natural, safe,
and potent.
They are sold discreetly in bus parks,
market corners, and local kiosk, often
hidden in cellophane wrappers or reused
plastic bottles, making it harder to be
noticed.
But Pharmacist Umar said it has been
confirmed that the concoctions are anything
but natural.
“These are not carefully formulated blends.
They are crushed pills mixed with herbs and
sometimes unknown substances. No
dosage. No regulation. Just guess work,”
Umar explained.
He said they often resulted in cases of
severe chest pain, dangerously elevated
heart rates, collapse health, and in many
instances, sudden death.
A culture of silence and pressure
Why are men, some as young as 20 risking
it all for these concoctions?
DAILY POST observes that in a society
where masculinity is often measured by
sexual prowess, performance anxiety is
always widespread.
Yet, open conversation about sexual health
remain a taboo.
Rather than seek medical help, many resort
to the most accessible alternative, the
street vendor promising “guaranteed
results.”
“This isn’t just a health problem,” Umar
emphasized.
“It’s a cultural one. We have to question
why men are turning to untested drugs
instead of trained professionals. What myths
are we still upholding? What insecurities are
we ignoring?”
A call for action
Government regulators like NAFDAC and the
Pharmacists Council of Nigeria have
cracked down on illegal drug hawking
before but the efforts are far from enough.
The market is still thriving.
Umar believes that real change requires
more than law enforcement.
“Religious leaders, educators, traditional
rulers, and the media all have a role to play.
We must break the silence. We must teach
our youth that masculinity is not defined by
performance, but by self-control, knowledge,
and responsibility.”
According to him; “No pleasure is worth
your life.”

During the build -up to 2023 elections, the SW came with rhetorical arguement that it is Southerners turn. They were everywhere telling that the South should queue behind Tinubu. Fast forward to 2025, the Yorubanization of Nigeria has shown us that the SW never meant Southerners, South Westerners.
Check this Souther Presidency appointments:
President: Yoruba
Chief of Army staff: Yoruba
Min of Fin: Yoruba
IGP: Yoruba
CBN: Yoruba
FIRS: Yoruba
NNPC: Yoruba
NPA: Yoruba
NCS: Yoruba
Financial Reg Council: Yoruba
Fed Character Comm: Yoruba

As far as SW is concerned, it is AWALOKAN, the SS and SE are not considered competent enough in this so called "Southern Presidency"

Not a problem, there is a saying that whoever the pear become available for, let him lick to his satisfaction. But et noone come and hoodwink us with "Southerners turn" in the name of equity.

Speaking of equity, let us do the matches, because number do not lie. For the analysis, we will assume that Tinubu will complete his current tenor by 2027.

OBJ - (South West) 1999 - 2007: 8 years
Yardua (North West) 2007 - 2010: 2 years
GEJ (South South) 2010 - 2015: 6 years
Buhari (North West) : 2015 - 2023: 8 years
Tinubu (South West): 2023 -2027 4 years.

By 2027, the number will be as follows:
Southerners: 8+6+4 = 18 years
Northerners: 2+8 = 10 years

So, the North can demand another 8 years to even out to the South 8 years advantage. If we want EQUITY, let us allow the North meet up with the South. A more equitable arrangement would even be to give the Siuth East the concession in 2027, after all what is good for the Yoruba is also good for the Igbos.

Pen drops
So Amechi and Obi who are saying is the turn of the south are both Igbos?

When Tinubu win in 2027, I hope you Igbos won't start changing mouth after that.

Tinubu won without the support of Igbos in 2023, he will win without you guys support again in 2027.

Be ready to wail till 2031

ADC CAN only beat Tinubu if Obi is out of the race totally or VP under Atiku

SE is always in the bag for Obi even if he is the VP, Obi has that covered, including some SS and NC states.
Go and check the figures Obi had in the south east in 2023. If Obi is not contesting for the presidency, voters turn out in the south east might not even be up to 2023 voters turn out. Tinubu won't lose scandalously in the south east in 2027.

Not every obidient who voted for Obi in 2023 will vote for Atiku in 2027.

And it seems you forget the 2027 election is not going to be a two horse race, the PDP will also partake in the election.

And you can't just claim Obi's support will get Atiku massive votes in the south east. Obi candidate won't even win the governorship election in Anambra state. See eh, if Obi is mot contesting, voters turn out in the south east will be low and Atiku can never have more than 90% of the votes in the south east like Obi had in 2023.

If the ADC present Atiku, Atiku will struggle to have more than 30% of the votes from the south east if even if Obi support him.

PoliticsRe: Can This New Coalition Fix Nigeria's Economy And Erase Poverty? by Ikaeniyan0: 7:11pm On Jul 05, 2025
EMDWRIT:
Can Nigeria’s New Political Coalition Deliver Real Change or Is It More of the Same?

Is Nigeria finally on the brink of true political transformation or are we witnessing another cycle of recycled promises dressed in new colors?

As the winds of political realignment sweep across the country, a newly formed coalition of parties has emerged, branding itself as a “fresh alternative” to both the ruling party and the traditional opposition. For decades, Nigerians have endured rising poverty, rampant unemployment, broken infrastructure, and leadership failures. This coalition claims it can change all that. But can it?

Is it a Familiar Pattern or a Genuine Shift?

At first glance, the coalition’s message resonates with citizens: job creation, youth empowerment, inclusive governance, and economic restructuring. These are real issues that affect millions. But while the agenda sounds promising, the faces behind it raise questions. Many of these politicians are not new to the system they are veterans of the same political machinery they now criticize.

So, is this truly a new dawn, or simply a rebranded version of the old order?

Signs of Hope: Youth Engagement & Grassroots Outreach

To its credit, the coalition has made deliberate efforts to connect with youth movements, civil society groups, and marginalized communities. This outreach shows a level of awareness often absent in traditional political structures. If this is more than just strategy if it's sincere it could spark a new era of grassroots participation and leadership renewal.

( But History Still Haunts Us )

Still, the Nigerian electorate remains skeptical and justifiably so. Political history in Nigeria is littered with ambitious manifestos, passionate speeches, and ultimately, broken promises. Critics argue that this could be another tactical alliance by old players aiming to regain relevance. Without a clear ideological break, or a willingness to embrace transparency and accountability, this coalition may fall into the same trap: power for power’s sake.

What Nigerians Truly Want......

Nigerians aren’t asking for miracles. They want leadership that listens and delivers. The next generation is demanding clear policy direction, honest governance, job opportunities, and economic inclusion not just more slogans and empty drama.

For this coalition to be taken seriously, it must:

1. Present detailed, actionable plans beyond vague promises

2. Empower credible, youth-driven voices not just rotate power among old names

3. Practice real transparency and avoid corrupt influences

4. Show visible commitment to education, restructuring, and economic revival

Final Thoughts

As the country moves toward 2027, one truth is clear, the people are watching and they are tired. ✓ Tired of recycled narratives. ✓Tired of political games. ✓Tired of waiting.

If this coalition is truly different, it must prove so not just in speeches, but in action.

Nigerians deserve more than new faces with old agendas. They deserve new outcomes.
Peter Obi couldn't fix Anambra state and couldn't erase poverty in Anambra state, but you think he can do what he couldn't do as a governor when he become the president? Issokay

So here's my dilemma — two amazing women, one heart, and definitely one wedding o. I can’t marry both.

Lady 1: 33-year-old Virgin from Kaduna
She’s kind, mature, and very giving. If I buy her biscuit, she go cook full pot of soup. If I say I’m not hungry, wahala don start. She's respectful, but sometimes her love feels transactional — every kind gesture must return with food or gift. Virginity still intact like unopened bottle of wine. Sweet lady.

Lady 2: 23-year-old Non-Virgin from the South East
She's sharp, focused, full of initiative. She doesn't wait for instructions — she sees problem, she solves it. Very supportive and loyal, at least so far. Yes, she’s not a virgin, but she’s confident with GenZ vibes

Now here’s the problem — with the way infidelity dey fly up and down these days, I dey wonder:

Does marrying a virgin guarantee faithfulness?
Or should I go with the one who already has experience that has GenZ vibes

To be honest, both of them like me, and I like both of them. But I must choose.

So my people, help a brother — who should I marry?
Nah you know who you love pass between the two of them
