Lagos has been prospering before Nigeria was founded. Before Nigeria was created, no part of the south east can compete with Lagos.

If Atiku insists on contesting, it's his constitutional right. However, he should know that he cannot win the election without a strong candidate form the South. That's why he needs to work with Peter Obi.

Atiku is more likely to spend just one tenure in office because he will be 80 years by 2027 and canvas the north to vote for a Southern candidate after his tenure.

It was Tinubu who sold the Idea to Buhari before the 2011 presidential election which Buhari rejected. He decided to work with Tinubu for the 2015 election.

Without the two working together, the likes of Rochas, Amechi, Atiku etc won't have tagged along. Amechi and Atiku were both in the PDP before they joined the APC, they were pushed out of the PDP by Jonathan.
