Jobs/VacanciesRe: How To Apply For Government Npower Program. by Ikandah:
gentlejid4tm:
so what position (s) can NCE apply for biko
There are 3 major areas of interest.
(1)npower teacher corps (teach, agro, health & community education)
(2)npower knowledge (creative, tech hardware & tech software)
(3)npower build (electrical, welding, plumbing, furniture, masonry & refrigeration)

NB: npower creative has 4 positions under it (animation, graphic design, post production & script writing)

So there are 16 positions in all and up to 12 positions for u to choose from since u don't have NYSC cert. Make ur choice as it pleases u.

For enquiry, tweet npower admin @npower_ng

I have checked this survey I am NOT sure it is for YouWin 3 New Business.
What do they want us to fill when they have NOT released even the first tranche. Well I don't know what to fill in the survey.
That survey is a big issue now o. Since my business is new, I find it confusing based on how to go about it. Fellow awardees, please, your advice is needed o.

Emeka Ike started his career in movie industry in the late 80s, his first major movie role was in the movie “Deadly Affair” in 1987.

So I don't think having him on the list is that bad...
1987 ? And when did the first home video "Living In Bondage" hit Nigeian market? #justaskingthough
Jobs/VacanciesRe: What Is The Least Amount You Can Collect As A Fresh Graduate? by Ikandah: 1:52pm On Jan 04, 2015
ednut1:
now heritage, hard to believe cos d banks looked poor abi grin , for companies dat dont have fixed payment structure call any amount u feel is ok. after all ur negotiating. a trader wants to sell u a shirt of 2k he will call it 5k nd u price. my first job d person who linked me told me to demand 200k. i felt it was high nd i demanded 150. nd we agreed 140k. if i had said 80k they wud hv given me 70k.
This is one thing coys do that I dont find appealing: "bargaining of salary". I expect them to have fixed salary profile than subjecting intending employees to the result of salary negotiation which never favours new workers particularly the freshers because must of them do accept whatever the coys finally offer to them just to have somewhere to start.

We did ours early this month and they collected our account numbers but we havent been paid till now. Do you knw the possible reason ? Someone said the money had been hijacked. What do u tink ?
When money meant for transportation and accommodation is not disbursed during or, latest, shortly after the training workshop, the speculation would be that it has been "hijacked". So if you ask me I will say the same because I believe there must have been an adequate budget (in terms of fund) made for successful implementation of the training.

However, I enjoin those interns who have theirs next week to table the issue of the unpaid allowances to the SURE-P organisers in order to get possible solution to theirs too.

. Well, someone told me I need to go with just my unique beneficiary code. Thanks for the info.
I believe you were sent an e-mail which you must present at the venue for sighting. It bears your UBC and all other information. If you can't find it in your inbox folder, check your spam folder.

I was invited by surep to an employability training. Please advise. What and what do I need to go to the venue with? I am supposed to be there 29-31
I dont exactly get how u mean by "what and what to go with" but, all the same, you will be provided with t-shirt and cap (so worry less about dress code), training manual and writing materials. All the best!

Do awardees have any idea of what is causing the grant slash? I hope those civil servants are not trying to pocket people's money.
The slashing is a general case.
When the result was released, there was great deal of excitement that the number increased from 1200 to 1500. Probably, the total budget is still intact while the additional 300 only affected the allocation of fund #justsaying

Nice to be on this thread again after a long while and to appreciate the efforts of those that have kept this thread updated.

The validation is no big deal provided you have all the documents handy, both originals and photocopies. Endeavour to bring along, educational credentials and photocopies even though not specified in the invite. Also, don't forget the accompanying documents to the CAC cert and their photocopies.

U guys have nothing to be afraid of. Just be consistent, confident and able to convince the panel despite their action to make your business plan look useless and the requested amount too much to be realistic.
We must all smile at last!

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Dangote To Give Graduate Drivers Trucks After Use by Ikandah: 10:38am On Nov 02, 2012
Well, whatever. Whether 300,000km or N300k, it is a cool deal because some graduates are already biting their fingers for not taking a step to apply.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Dangote To Give Graduate Drivers Trucks After Use by Ikandah: 9:58am On Nov 02, 2012
After 300,000km? This is cool settlement. Even at an average speed of 300km/day, the deal takes effect after 1000 days, that is, working for about 200 days per year, the task is completed in 5 years(approx).

PoliticsRe: Sanusi Criticizes Bank Consolidation Exercise by Ikandah: 10:03am On Mar 03, 2010
All this grammar in the criticism directed at the former CBN governor by the incumbent governor is the government business. For we the countrymen, our assessment of the financial issue is based on the impact of any banking policy on the welfare and standard of living of the masses. To drive my point home, during the former's tenure, the people's confidence in the banks was strengthened, banks employed massively and dollar- naira equivalence was moderate. But now, all we experience is the opposite; unbearably massive sacking of bank workers and skyrocketing inflation. We hardly have confidence in any bank again. It's this bank today and who knows which bank becomes the next tomorrow. So this should not call for appraisal or criticism, rather, a concerted effort to move everyone along and the nation forward. God bless all.
