Car Talk / Re: The Longest Road Trip You've Driven? by ikenga67: 10:28pm On Aug 20, 2013 |
In 2000, I drove from San Diego in California to North Brunswick NJ (almost 3k Miles I think) in a 1994 Plymouth Voyager. It took four days (of course we stopped to sleep at night). The vehicle basically died after the trip, but since then I have nothing but respect for American made vehicles |

You can start with Margery Perham's second volume Lugard: The Years of Authority. Of course the book is pro-Lugard and British (and therefore pro-North) but it will tell you how it all came about. It might also burst your illusion that you have found the magic wnd to unravel Lugard's foolishness. Lol |

chrisxxx: I hear amalgamation of North and South Nigeria took place in 1914. Hahahhahaha! What you actually hear is a need to go take a basic course on Nigerian history and governemnt. You dont even need to go to school for that. Just read one or two books and you will stop hearing those voices!! |
Travel / Re: Nigeria Plans £5000 Visa-Bond For UK Citizens by ikenga67: 6:33pm On Aug 15, 2013 |
Now, I truly believe the saying that every people deserve the leadership they get! See how all of us here on NL and our so called leaders are cheerfully substituting infantile emotional response and tantrums for public policy. Retaliate! Retaliate!! suck it to them!!. Let me remind you guys how that "retaliation" works out in practice. The US imposed a very high visa fee for Nigerians wishing to go to the US. Of course, we do not like that and retaliated by imposing our own high fees too. Problem, you go to the US embassy in Lagos or Abuja, you see Nigerians with Nigerian passports lining up to pay the fees to go to US. You go to the Nigerian embassy in NY or DC and what do you see? Nigerians (as in Dele, Emeka, Ahmed) with US passports lining up to pay for the visa to come home to their families! Talk about cutting off you nose to spite your face 4 Likes |
