All “ISU” migrated from EZEANI ISU .. is the father of all ISU INCLUDING IBUZO IN ASABA..
EZEANI ISU SHRINE IS LOCATED AT OBI URUAGU PALACE IN NNEWI AND THE TRADITIONAL WORSHIPERS OF EZEANI ISU COMES FROM ALL “ ISU LAND “ to worship

I won’t argue or give you fact... just visit any Isu palace and ask from the chief priest of the town.

Traditional worshippers still hold to the truth ..

Isu includes all villages and town that have ISU in their prefix or suffix
It was an instruction from the great EZEANI ISU ON THAT VERY EVENING OF DEPARTURE

You are deeply stupid. Isu that is bigger than Anioma came from 1 village in Anioma. Are you Igala or Igbo?

How Igala gave birth to the "Awka" people in Anambra state

Achalla in Awka Local Government Area of Anambra State is the second ethnic group claiming Igala ancestry Currently, it's estimated population is about 40,000. Its territorial covers a radius of about ten square kilometers. The events leading to its ancestry dates back to sbout five hundred years and the list of kings in Achalla contains the names of about twenty persons.
Achalla is divided into wo sections, namely: Ifite and Ezeama which comprises of four villages each
1. Ifite Village
a. Umudiani
b. Amukabia
c. Umoge
d. Odawa
2. Ezeama Village
a. Umuezede
b. Umunagu
c. Udezu
d.Amadim
Umudiani is the oldest of the Achalla villages. Only one family in Achalla claims to have been of Igala ancestry. This is the Uthoko family of Iruete, a sub-village in Amukabia. The claim is based on a story of descent from Avava, an Igala prince and hunter, mostly hunting of elephant for their tusks. Sale of elephant tusks was very lucrative business at that time Achalla forest was rich in wild animals, with elephants in large numbers. Avava was noted for his hunting expeditions along the course of Anambra and Niger rivers. The story says that he came to Achalla in company of a native doctor named Obiko. Because there was such hunting to be done, Avava decided to settle with Achalla people in order to intensify his hunt for elephants. He later got married and sired a son, Dum Duorimili. Having settled in Achalla, Avava attempted to introduce kingship into the community. The Achalla people who were then entirely republican, resisted his attempt at this imposition. Avava never anticipated opposition and was cut to the quick by the community's reaction. Intent on his desire for kingship in Achalla, Avava departed to his home town Idah, to muster forces. History has it that he never came back, for he died in Idah. When Avaya departed to Idah, the people of Achalla had a change of mind. Prompted either by sympathy or love for his son, or fear of Igala war, they eventually crowned his son, Dum Duorimili Thus, the first known king and ruler in Achalla was Dum-Duorimili. Dum Dourimili was blessed with two sons, Uthoko, who was the first son and Nwuri appear that the name Uthoko was the title assumed by the first son.
Uthoko took to his father's line of business, hunting. He was Responsible, carefree and often drunk. His wife was very rude, and nonchalant in her outlook and attitude to life. Nwuri, on the other hand, took to farming. He was energetic, industriousand prosperous. After the death of their father, Dum Dum Rimilia royal delegation from Idah arrived to crown Uthoko King of Achalla, but he was always on a hunting expedition. His wife attended to the royal delegation shabbily. Inspite of the poor reception and shabby treatment meted to them, the royal delegation waited a long time for Uthoko's return. After waiting for a long time and his whereabout was not known, Nwuri, his younger brother, was crowned in his stead. The royal delegation returned to Idah when they have completed their mission. When Uthoko eventually returned and was told of the crowning of his younger brother in his place, he rejected such acknowledgment outright insisting on reversal of the crowing,The royal delegation had gone back to Idah, crowning was invested with a very deep spiritual significance which could not be reversed. Besides, such a step would be retrogressive and could lead to chaos. Uthoko stood his ground, and when it became apparent that a civilwar was imminent, Achalla elders intervened. They held crucial meeting and decided that Nwuri should remain the ruler, but that Uthoko should never pay him homage. Hence, the saying in Amukabia "Uthoko ka Eze" which means Uthoko is greater than the king. The line of Nwuri continued till his death. Subsequently, kingship after his demise alternated between the two families, (Uthoko and Nwuri) and has remained like that till today. The descendants of Uthoko are represented by the family in Iruete, Amukabia village Another version of Uthoko's lineage to Igala was that Dum Duorimili was the son of the founder of Achalla, an Igala indigene. This later version has so far not been substantiated. It has therefore remained a mere speculation.

“ERI MIGRATED FROM IGALA”
By Ayegba Abdullahi Adojoh
(General Igala Ambassador (The Eju-Igala), ordained by Attah Igala, Attah of all Igala people)
Dedicated to Eze Nri, Attah of Obosi, Asagba of Asaba and Olu of Warri
Igala may not be related to everyone in southeast Nigeria, especially those of Aro and/or Jewish origin but Igala is related to Nri people considering some related cultures between us. Although, some South-easterners believe that Eri/Eli was the father of all Igbo people, while some disagree with that.
But Eri, as a person, how was he related to Igala if actually he was? According to some Igbo historians, Atta, one of the sons of Eri was the founder of Igala people. But Igala was not founded by one person as it is popular that Igala settled in Wukari-Taraba state after coming from Egypt through Borno … and later migrated from Wukari to Idah.
In addition, Attah is a tittle in Igala land not a person as they said, and it means father. So, Attah Igala means Father of Igala. Thus, this version does not have any truth.
Another version said that Eri migrated from Igala area to Aguleri and later married an Igala wife who begot a son called Onoja Oboli, and that the Onoja later founded Igala. This is so cyclic and very contradictory.
If Eri migrated from Igala which was already in existence before even marrying his wife or getting a son, how come the same Igala will be founded by Onoja? This also does not hold water.
The third version said that Eri came from heaven with his wife and settled near Omabala river. He later got a child called Idah who founded Igala. Again, this is very strange to many popular world historians as Idah was just a location and not the name of person. Idah was from Ona Imuda, meaning the road has ended because the road or path they were following during their (Igala people) migration ended at the bank of river Niger and they Igala people had to settle down there. Till date, no man or ruler or Attah Igala among the royal clan had/has Idah as his name. This makes this version also false. There is another version which is still different. These inconsistence versions by Igbo historians could not provide provable facts. However, all of them point to one direction, and that is; Eri or Igbo was the father of Igala people.
But considering some similar cultures between Eri people and Igala, and which are not common btw Eri and other Igbo towns, some historians believed that Eri was Igala who left Idah and settled around Omabala (Omi-abala) river many century ago just like many other Igala people across Nigeria and beyond.
As seen in the photo, it can be seen that the Eze Nri dressed like Attah Igala, as he had Ejubejuailo (pectoral mask) on the chest. It is worthy of note here that Ejubejuailo is worn by Attah Igala and no other traditional leader in the entire world. It was taken by Igala soldiers from the Oba of Benin in 1515 during our first war with them. So, how come the Eze Nri dressed (in 1944) like Attah Igala if he was not of Igala? Recall that many Igala communities outside Kogi state have traditional titles like Attah (eg Attah of Obosi), Agaba Idu, Idu, Akor, Okakwu, Okpala, etc while some dress like Attah Igala to show their Igala identity.
From available information, it was stated that the burial of any late Eze Nri is similar or related to that of Attah Igala including the Atebo/Atama of Igala and Adama of Eri side.
But that is not all, according to Mr Lawton in 1917, “The Nris are of Igara [Igala] stock, extended themselves southward from Idah”. “Practically all the towns north of the Onitsha-Akwa road are Nri- including Nteje, Umuleri and Aguleri”. In the Awka Division, Akwuju, Igbariam and Amanuke, Orumebo, Oreri are Nris”
In 1955, an Aguleri man, M. C. M. Idigo stated that “The Aguleri people originated from Igara [Igala] and migrated to their present area about 3 or 4 centuries ago. The leader Eri, a warrior, took his people on a war expedition, and after long travel and many fights, established his camp at Eri-aka, near Odanduli stream, a place which lies between Ifite and Igbezunu Aguleri. Eri, with his soldiers, went out regularly from his settlement to Urada, Nnadi and other surrounding towns on war raids and captured many of the inhabitants. These were the Ibo-speaking people and by mixing with them and inter-marriage, the immigrants adopted the language”.
In 1960, J. S. Boston stated that “The northern Umunri villages say that the clan was founded by a man called Eri who came to the Anambra area from Igala country and settled at the Aguleri…”
Conclusion: From the above points especially that of the Nri descendant, M. C. M. Idigo, I will join my mouth with them to say that “ERI MIGRATED FROM IGALA”. That is, Eri was Igala who migrated from Idah just like many other Igala people across the 28 states of Nigeria. .. and do you know what, our reconnection will take place soon. God bless Igala Kingdom.

More proofs of Eri been Igala
Below are the names of the children of Eri.
1. Agulu, an Igala name meaning “The one who stays or waits see or find it”. He was the founder of Aguleri.
2. Menri (Umi-eri). Umi means rest, confort. He was the founder of Umuleri
3. Onogu (Onu-ogu), meaning warrior or leader of war
4. Attah, an Igala name meaning father

5. Iguedo, meaning he stays or resides in the middle or centre of.
All these names including Eri are still being used by Igalas till date. There is no Igbo man bearing Agulu, Eri or Attah presently from my findings.
Pls note: Eri been from Igala does not mean that all Igbos were from Igala. There are many communities where Igala people are in southeast Nigeria. In addition, the communities founded by the children or descendants of Eri in any part of Nigeria are all Igalas.

Politics / Igala, An Important Role Player In The Burial Rite Of Any Late Obi Of Onitsha by Ikengawo: 10:33pm On Jan 09, 2021
Onitsha, a town in Anambra state has 9 communities in which Igala has 2 (Ogbodu and Obigboru), Benin has 4 and Igbo has 3. Igala was said to be the first people in Onitsha as they had been camping (having fishing tents) by the side of the river Niger doing their fishing before the crossing of Benin people to the area. The Igala were the one who helped the Benin Prince and his people to cross the river Niger by carrying the Benin people in their (Igala) fishing boats and canoes to the side now called Onitsha, thus Igala were the host while the Benin were strangers at that time.
Though the Igala people were there before the Benin people, they built their houses at the river side while the Benin prince and his people who moved to the dry land formed the head of the area, thus the Benin people became the ruling class as Obi of Onitsha till this day. But Igala and Igbo play their roles too. Igala have a role to play in the traditional council. The Igala people are in charge of the design of the royal clothes/regalia as well as burial of any transited Obi of Onitsha. Remember that the burial of such a person requires many spiritual activities. I will tell you one. The masquerade which performs the last icholo (rite) is an Igala masquerade called Egwu-Afia. Just like in Kogi Igala Okwulat (feast of the ancestors) where a song Ebule kpolama kegwu alo, and women as well as non-initiated males leave the location, the Onitsha Egwu-Afia masquerade speaks and signs in Igala language, and the final song which concludes the burial activities is Ononojo nalo kibawawa nalo.. (meaning strangers, leave let it remain us, the indigenes..), and now none indigenes would have to move from the burial site, oral history revealed. The mother of one late Obi of Onitsha (Obi Eze Aroli) was Igala, and her name was Enubi (meaning the supporter or one to lean on. The male version in Kogi is Enebi/Eneubi).
And before I forget, this Egwu-Afia is still part of the burial rites of anyone who dies in this 2 Igala communities- Ogbodu and Obigboru till date, and was used for one important figure who was one of the fighters for the independent of Nigeria from that side during his burial, reliable sources told me. Egwu-Afia is exclusively of Igala, and any community is found till tomorrow in Nigeria is indigenous Igala people, as the masquerade is only found among the oma Egwu-Afia clan (Note: Not all Igalas are Oma Egwu-Afia clans but all Oma Egwu-Afia clans are Igalas).
God bless the throne of Obi of Onitsha, God bless Ogbogu and Obigboru people, God bless entire Igala people.
