Cesar and costa are d only 2 players 2 play their 1st world cup for spain.

ichidodo: Kelechi is the best footballer of his generation,he is a cultured midfielder blessed with good height deceptively strong and has a good turn of pace,He passes better than mikel, has greater sense of positioning and has a keen eye for goal,Ladies and Gentlemen we are looking at Nigeria's own answer to Patrick Viera,Yahaya Toure,Paul Pogba,Zlatan Ibrahimovic etc.His only flaw is tackling....When senior players of a top EPL club take notice of a 17 year old kid, then that boy has arrived... He is the chosen one,Keshi should have taken a risk with him at the World Cup just like Sven Goran Ericson risked teenage Theo Walcot at Germany 2006,i'd say throw him into the cauldron, give him that Jersey and role IMMEDIATELY....But he needs to sack his agent and hire Mino Raiola or Pedro Mendes to get very far in his Proffesional career.
after u will call wizkid ungrateful for leavin EME abi?
SportsRe: Should Kelech Iheanacho Take Over The No 10 Jersey From Mikel Now? by Ikenna94: 7:18am On Jul 29, 2014
Goandie: Pple dat don't know bout football always diss mikel but d truth is dis guy is d most successful nigeria footballer and he as played with d best.
Pple av forgotten bout Nation cup and con federation cup but are quick 2 judge him @ d world cup stage, even enyeama dat dey all shout bout was d main culprit of our defeat 2 france but dey are all blind 2 see dis.
Were was xavi, iniesta nd costa wen spain was bein trashed by and inxperience holland hmm.
Were was pirlo and super mario wen costa rica beat dem or england with all d stevie G, sterling and sturridge.
baseless opinion. Why is the Dutch team inexperienced? Almost alll there players have over 3 seasons league experience in their belt. Costa rica's secret eas in their team play not individual play so pls argue with real facts.
SportsRe: Should Kelech Iheanacho Take Over The No 10 Jersey From Mikel Now? by Ikenna94: 7:14am On Jul 29, 2014
makkitush: Mikel is useless.i mean completely useless.he is popular now cos he plays for one of the best club in da world(chelseafc).don't worry, wen chelsea sells him which is inevitable,u will see how he will just decline.
we all know that iheanacho has shown more promise than all the previous flops one person listed here except perhaps macheda. But any real epl fan will know dat it's not easy for strikers to reach great heights compare to attacking midfielders. Joel obi can hold the NO 10 but iheanacho is better than all those idiots that keshi took to the WC

FashionWhy Do Most Nigerian Youths Wear Incorrect Wrist Watches. by Ikenna94(op): 9:03am On Jul 10, 2014
Fellow Nairalanders, I have come to discover that it is now a growing trend among youths especially the ladies, to put on wrist watches that are no longer in good working condition. The funniest thing is that if you mistakenly ask them about the time, they will proudly check it for you in their mobile phones and inform you that the time in the wrist watch is not correct. What then is the purpose of wearing a wristwatch if not to know the correct time always. One could be left to wonder if it is now a make up accessory, rather than a form of time piece.
FamilyRe: What's Happening To Our Men? by Ikenna94: 8:50am On Jul 10, 2014
@op totally true nd on point. As a guy it equally makes me feel bad to know dat over 80 percent of the young married guys also look at other ladies or even have relationships with dem. I was in my uncles car one day and I cud not believe dat he had d effrontery to call his girlfriend on the fone just few seconds after calling his wife. Its just appalling to know dat it is now a trend among so called married men to pass advances and comments on young girls other than their wives or kids
SportsNigeria World Cup Team Player Ratings By Goal.com by Ikenna94(op): 7:25pm On Jul 06, 2014
FEATURE
By Ude Ikenna Ezekiel
In this feature, one Goal Nigeriareader grades the Super Eagles' players following their World Cup campaign in Brazil.
Do you agree or disagree with these ratings? Comment below and let us know whether you agree or disagree with these marks.
Vincent Enyeama: 8The Lille man was arguably at his best in the Super Eagles’ matches at the World Cup, save for his two errors that led to the team conceding in the matches against Argentina and France. He produced a series of outstanding saves to keep the team in the thick of things, little wonder he finished the tournament as the highest-ranked African player in the FIFA Castrol rankings. Overall, it was a great tournament for the veteran as he kept match commentators marvelling at his fantastic reflexes.
Juwon Oshaniwa: 6.5A great tournament for a player who returned to the team for the first time since the Cup of Nations triumph 16 months ago and was brought in to replace the ever-present Elderson Echiejile in the starting line up.
He might not have offered more going forward than Elderson, but he was reliable in defence, making important blocks and clearances, most notably against France to deny Paul Pogba a clear attempt on goal after Enyeama had spilled the ball in the six yard box. He also laid to rest the objections that were raised at the absence of veteran Taye Taiwo in the team.
Kenneth Omeruo: 8What more can be said about a 20 year old that had a 100 per cent tackle success rate against a potent French team that had already scored eight goals in three matches leading to that encounter? He won 74 percent of his aerial duels in the tournament.
Joseph Yobo: 6Finally getting his 100th cap for the Super Eagles, the team skipper produced a more mature showing in the team’s four matches than he did in his last match under Stephen Keshi 16 months ago. A momentary loss of concentration led to him having to chase after Antoine Griezmann in the dying minutes of the match against France, scoring an own goal in the process. Even though Omeruo took responsibility for most of the marking duties on the likes of Karim Benzema and Edin Dzeko, the 33 year old did well in winning a few aerial duels and tackles and also made important clearances.
Yobo | Rolled back the years
Efe Ambrose: 6.5Carried out his defensive duties expertly, making several blocks especially against Argentina, not leaving much space for the opposition attackers to exploit on the right flank. Was also fantastic going forward with his clever cut-ins from the right flank to support the attackers.
John Obi Mikel: 4Was expected by many to replicate his AFCON and Confederations Cup form, but the opposite was the case as the Chelsea man struggled to adapt to the pace of the team's matches, was guilty of losing possession rather too easily in his own half and was culpable for too many wayward passes.
Ogenyi Onazi: 8The SS Lazio man continued in his development into a world-class combative midfielder with a tackle completion average of 3.3-per-match. These stats are higher than the likes of Paul Pogba, Luiz Gustavo and Sami Khedira.
The 21 year old was everywhere in the midfield, dispossessing and breaking down opposition attacks and also making few attacking forays into the defensive third of the opposition team. He also had to cover for the lacklustre performance of his midfield partner Mikel. His level of influence in the team's play was shown after he was substituted against France, as the team lost shape in the midfield.
Victor Moses: 4Was one of the team’s best players leading to the tournament, but failed to stamp his feet in the first match against Iran and was substituted by the coach. Only came back to replace the injured Michael Babatunde in the starting line up against France, making a goal-line clearance in the match but again struggled to exert his influence on the proceedings.
Michael Babatunde: 7The team's revelation at the tournament as he enticed and impressed the Super Eagles' fans with his silky skills and playmaking abilities when played in the hole behind the centre-forward Emmanuel Emenike. Proved the sceptics wrong as he took a few fine long-range shots and provided the assist for Ahmed Musa's first goal against Argentina.
Babatunde | Proved the doubters wrong
Ahmed Musa: 8Finally living up to his potential, a few years after he became the darling of the nation in setting a new goalscoring record in the Globacom Premier League. The pacy forward bagged two goals against Argentina to further underline his importance to Keshi's team, proving his doubters wrong on the biggest possible stage. He also provided the assist for Emmanuel Emenike's disallowed goal againstFrance.
Osaze Odemwingie: 8The prodigal son proved the Big Boss was right to take a risk on him with a fine all-round display in all of the team's four matches at the showpiece, scoring the lone goal against Bosnia-Herzegovina to ensure that the team stayed on the driving seat for a second round berth. He regularly helped out in defensive positions on either flank as well.
Emmanuel Emenike: 8Worked his socks off to ensure that his teammates upfront could get the best possible support, drifting to the wings when necessary. Was a handful for all the opposition’s defence, providing two assists in the process and scored the controversially-disallowed goal against France by the linesman. His fine performances have led to reported interest from Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
Ramon Azeez: 4Had very little impact against Iran and subsequently lost his place in the team, not to be seen again.
Michael Uchebo:4Struggled to maintain possession in his few minutes against Argentina, it was not a surprise that he was not called on again by the coach.
Shola Ameobi: 5Kept possession well against Bosnia and also supported the attack after coming in as a substitute. Had little influence in the match against Iran, failing to win most of his aerial duels despite his height advantage.
Uche Nwofor: 3Had little time to make an impact in the two matches that he came in as a late substitute.
Ejike Uzoenyi: 3Failed to justify his inclusion in the team coming in to replace Babatunde against Bosnia.

u re very wrong , u don't knw mikel at all ,but @ the topic ,dese days such awards re nt based on personal endeavour but on ones contribution to his team winnin trophies eg fabio cannanvaro in 2006 he was no where near zidane but dey gave it 2 him ,so mikel deserves it but dat does not mean dat I support mediocrity in d sense dat as a DM 4 8yrs he can't even improve like onazi and Alex song .

solomon111: Even chelsea is a better destination than mancity.
With probably the best youth devt programme and facilities in Europe, coupled with the fact that he would've been loaned to vitesse arnhelm(chelsea B) in holland who are currently toping the dutch league, to develop the technical aspect of his game.
He would have been a good replacement for lucas piazon who is coming back to chelsea next season after a good spell in holland.
What a waste.
