It is so sad how some people's worry is about how fast they can get home or to an event. in this age and time, we are more concerned about commuting time. strategic urban planning is supposed to solve 90% of our commuting problems. we borrow billions of dollars to construct road. Is laughable right? human capital development is the greatest investment of government to his people. why do developed nation spend billions in funding research and open their doors to researchers to migrate? once government invest heavily in human development, half of the people living in Lagos will move to other cities.

The church creates direct and indirect employment for Nigerians. our sole problem is the leadership of the country. if we have a system designed to work, you will realize that we have more than enough jobs in the country.

Check the western or civilized society, you will realize that the job or work we look down on is what is sustaining many families. they structure their society to respect and pay workers measurable to a living wage. you that is talking, you have a maid in your house that you aren't paying kobo. that is called housekeeper. and in a system that works that person earns a living wage relative to the work put in per hour.

You people have never worked in any organized settings and you will be spewing gibb erish.

Joining labour union is voluntary. Check Apple and Amazon and other tech giants. Their staff can’t join labour union.

In NIgeria, you can choose not to join. Some of our colleagues chose not to join when we were working and Heaven didn’t fall. All you loose when you don’t join a labour union is that your association won’t give you any support when you have problem with your employer. The support they usually give is activism and process disruption. They rarely help you pay any legal fees or any serious medical fees.

Dangote’s refinery is a private refinery. He can do whatever he likes with it. He doesn’t want staff that would be going on strike on flimsy grounds that are caused by unionism.

On a Labour Day, they can choose to go and match in a stadium and start demanding for money and bus to take them there. That’s the least of demand they could make.
A minor injury to to a staff due to his or her negligence can cause his colleagues to down-tool and cause production disruptions. They can wake up one day and start demanding for salary increase because they feel their excos in their union will support them. The list is endless. This type of disruption is not healthy for an investment of that magnitude. Dangote still has loans to pay back.

Al our union’s threat is part of SWOT analysis and has to be strategically managed.

it is not compulsory to join but it's a right for those who choose to join. Those that joined shouldn't be victimized. Even in your so called abroad any one has the right to join a union if he chooses to. My flight was once grounded in this same abroad because a union halted the operation of an airline i booked.
Stop this abroad talk and lets focus why we join union in Nigeria.Employers are ripping off worker's without consequences. I have witness countless times employer's sacking workers without compensation in larger numbers over( 300) and nothing happens. Same can be seen in the recent development in dangote where 3000 as alleged was sacked. Is dangote bigger than total, shell or NLNG.

Simple. Joining a union is a choice not something an employer will deprive from an employee. Workers right should be protected at all cost. The government owe the people alot. Exercising your fundamental right is not a crime and the government must rise up to their responsibility.

Everyday drama. When will Nigeria be a better place.we need to start checking the mental level of people we call elites. If there's no evil intention,why won't he allow his workers freedom of association. It's their right. If dangote is fed up with the shenanigan of Nigeria,he should restructure his business for only international trade.

I think unionization is best for the country. If not workers welfare will be at the Mercy of the employer.

1. Did you submit mybankstatement with your application?
2. student account statement from your DLI. I think it's confirmation receipts for your payment reflected on your student portal.. I'm not 100% sure of this but is what I think.

I need help please. I was requested by IRCC to do medical, meanwhile I have done medicals upfront and IOM have sent them my medical before it was requested for. A web form of the acknowledgement slip sent to me by IOM was raised and sent to IRCC for the past 2 days but they are yet to acknowledge my medical.. please I need advice on what next to do
