I have sold 20 Attorney/Law related domains in the last 13 months. But what could have made that figure relatively high?

My First Domain Sale!

I’ll like to share a personal buying and selling experience of the first domain I sold. When I started I didn’t have much capital so I was on the lookout for promos. A standard domain fee is $9 on average but I was able to register for between $1 to $3 on promos. The first...

This is a good development dude. Its a welcome idea, as your bog will give you chance to track your progress.

My advice is that you try and incorporate list building in your plan. This is very crucial in the longhaul.

A list of subscribers give you chance to build your own audience and fans through your blog.

When you have your list of loyal fans, you will have control over the traffic to your blog and you don't have to depend on Google all time.

List building also give you chance to have ready market at hand, in which you can package a course and sell to them in the future.

To build list of subscribers on your blog, sign up with autoresponder like aweber and install it on your blog.

Offer something valuable in return for every subscribe and you are good to go.

In case you think this is not necessary, you can ask the likes of Ideaspro, Awesomeduru and others, about it, they will tell you better.

To your success in your new adventure man.

Best Regards

Hi Ikhalyfah,

between DAN, EPIK and Afternic
which do you personally think buyer will easily go when directed by seller to go and purchase your listed domain.

Can one direct buyer to visit the 3 marketplaces to get the domain he made an offer.

I personally prefer Dan,
Cons are; they do not accept Amex, and folks here sometimes report payment issues.

Epik is okay, same commission with Dan (except for imported lead, but i understand epik have escrow services, I'm not sure of the commission).

Afternic is more reputable with the endusers, hence u gain their trust more.
*Cons are; more than twice the commission Dan and Epik charge, only option for payment is wire transfer (ur bank will chop everything comot).

U should direct buyer to only one marketplace please.

I'm too lazy to outbound to end user. Can I buy up a few geo names and have random people doing the outbounding, anyone who sells will get a 30% cut? I will need quality high grade outbounders in the same echelon as awesomeduru and co. Let's say I have 15 geo names, I can get like 3 different people to focus on getting end users for 5 names each.

Well, i think people in the same echelon as awesomeduru have enough Domains to Outbound themselves, talkless of adding other people's domain to their head.
But take note of the bolded oo, it's just my small thinking

OYENIYIJK:
This is how SH do treat me!!!!
My experience...
When I submit a name that has a relevance keyword in their market i.e a popular keyword in their marketplace, it takes just 24 hours for them to accept or reject it. Some keywords like pay, bold, bloom, perk, ignite, tiger, fox and all...
When I submit a name and they want to accept it, it won't take them more than 24 hours. Now these days, if I submit a name and they don't accept it under 24hours, I will delete it and move on ( seems like a bad idea). Sometimes they will leave one of my names and keep rejecting two and leave the third one Las Las they will reject it. . .
Their are some names that I do shortlist, but I will just wake up and find it in new arrival, that thing do pain me. But I'm sure if I was the one that do submitted those names, it will be auto reject for me...
Sorry for long post.

Just know SH are never consistent. Whatever they do, just be looking them with one eye. Just that note the rejected names that are good, research on them and if u are okay, u can register them.

@bolded, it's a bad idea.
There are names i Thought SH will DEFINITELY reject, but they do Accept.

Are these domains not any good? I don tire to outbound without getting any response.

Overall, this are good geos. Met all my selection criteria.

@italics they are the ones that i can possibly not register, but still they are good
@bolded I'm in love with them, where i see them I'll register without hesitation.
Others are also good.

U all have 12 months to sell them, as far as u don't give up and keep pushing, it will click God's willing.
Don't focus too much about sales report u see here and feel bad as thou u are not good enough. I assure u, THE THING NA TURN BY TURN. As far as u are still in it, ur turn go come.

Meanwhile, keep on buying good names similar to the ones above if u have the chance.

I try to reach accurately to endusers (but it's never effective 100%, maybe just 70), so i usually take a very very quick glance on the practice areas. Some lawyers provide all these services (i think they are all related right?).

@ikhalyfah Please when registering attorney related names what kind of attorneys do you go for
There are some i perceive as limited, eg Trademark attorney, copyright attorney. I avoid them.

and what do you think about attorney-related names with the city at the end?
I have only one, and yet to Outbound. Generally, i avoid them

Thanks.

You should know one thing about appraisal. Majority of people cannot appraise. I mean i cannot just come and say ur name is good and it will last 1million years without being sold. And i can be harsh on the name and tomorrow u will come and report sale.

Therefore, (speaking for myself), I'd rather just keep quiet (although for this particular post if yours, i didn't see it). As far as I'm not the buyer, I can't really say if it will sell or not.

That being said, if u have noticed how i appraise names, i make reference to if i can invest on it or not, (not if it is good, or if it will sell).

For this particular name, i believe its worth my $8 (for the industrial).

For the second name, i look after Flooring.

Thanks

Goodluck

Took me a while to catch up here because any time I come back, na many more pages to read. And I have the habit of reading to the last page before making any comment, to prevent any misfire or premature ejac.

But importantly, I am enjoying the fulfilment of my small prophecy of July 01, 2020 below.

Congrats!!! Congrats!!! Congrats!!! I call you the underdog in this domaining every time I remember how you were bashed for your first domain name registration! Let me LOL before I ask this question. Did you register this domain name with a dirty mind?

You know wat? It was Exactly when I received Simon's Payment email that I asked myself THE SAME question. And I can't even answer myself grin

But i hope it won't be used for something dirty. Let's see wat buyer does with it.

Thanks sir!
