nobody can give you a completely good answer on that. It can depend on the word, is it alone or combined. The example you use is 'premium', short (therefore memorable) and brandable.

I intend to register a brandable invented name (at least thats wat i see it as)
But I'll drop it here for opinions once I'm convinced i should register. Doing some digup on d name

etin06:
I just submitted one now now

Please send link or something. Anything to help..

Btw, is it unregistered or registered by u?

Looks like SH ain't accepting no more names. Till in 30days or so

QueenRebecca:
No, its not like that. He is saying that you will get a list in excel spread sheet format for a domain name which consist of many contacts. For instance, I got about 109 emails for a domain name I sent to him two weeks ago.

Please give your testimony.
U were able to sell to any of the endusers??

Quick question to the experts (and everyone) in the house.
Is it advisable to register a spelling alternative? For instance,
Register leep.com when Lip.Com Is already registered
Pls endeavour to answer

Mighty Morgan linton sold Westwooddentists.com

Westwood a city in many states in USA.
Also a city in England, Scotland, Canada, Australia

Registered Westwoodmechanics.com

Mechanics, a service.

Thou singular Westwoodmechanic is already online, so seems to be a competition, but i believe the plural comes to mind first.
Note: Morgan registered WestwooddentistS when already the singular Westwooddentist was online.

Westwoodmechanics.com

EGUNSOLA14:
Chai!!!!! I am surprised to see that my first sold name was bought by a fellow domainer. I have listed the name for $450 since I got the name, I later reduce price to $350 and the name got sold after three days of doing that without contacting anyone of a reduced price. I first thought I have missed $100, not knowing another domainer has been the one watching the name for a reduce price. He relisted the name on Dan at make an offer. HE MUST HAVE SEEN SOMETHING I DID NOT SEE IN THE NAME!

I don't understand, another domainer sold ur domain?

Branduche:
If you want me to advise you IMO
Some of us will not like you to do the mistake we made while we started domaining. I will honestly advise you to contact iykepromotions on this journey u wanna start. It's best to start right than pile up a city of $0 worth of domains. If you play a smart one on domaining without the right tools, the profession will smartly play you into recession.

And this also goes out to the newbies..

Alright then, thanks man

I wouldn't buy it for $0.

Thanks for the reproach and feedback.

Why is it that many big domainers talk against handreg
The are more bent on GoDaddy auction?
This one dey vex me sometimes
The Chinese guy that sold coinmena.com for 25,000$ this was handreg
Bit49.com 16,000$ was also handreg

Some of these domainers Sha the can discourage some, even GoDaddy close out is not all that awesome.

My thoughts EXACTLY

Favour196:
@needful nice write up!!

Please if that statement offended anybody, sorry

Please you can drop your domains for appraisal, at least sharing ideas on the name will really help some newbies, like me

We are one family as far as domaining is concerned.
Let's help ourselves so as to avoid dashing registra $6.99 or $8.99

1 love

Nice, regarding what u said above,
Pls house help me see this.
Can i go ahead to register ?

paulsir:
If you can study house.com, you will go a long way. You can build a website on it post enough posts on it and monetize the site, after that you can sell it at flippa.com. But you need lots of work to scale through.

As i have limited time now (because I'm in the critical stage of my medical school) i will find it difficult to that, but everything is worth trying in this hustle, I'll look into that. Thanks for the feedback

.

SKhanmi:
I like your zeal. It's quite understandable if this is your first domain. By the time you get more experience you will look back & laugh at your first regs. What are your answers to these.
1) Why did you reg hostelprice.com?
2) Who are your targeting?
3) As a business owner/organization, would you use this domain as a lander for your online presence?

Lastly, If I were to register a name like this, I'll be prepared to hold it for like 3-5yrs cos its unique. Names like this usually require specific buyers. Like someone who wants to open an hostel referral site(e.g jumia travels)But nothing is set in stone sha,Good luck

You got me this is my first registered. Actually acquired it (for a discount) to learn more, because i believe having a domain at hand will help in testing some domaining skills.
Secondly, i too believe the domain is unique because of its specificity. Hopefully it will find its way out of my hand before time for renewal comes.
Lastly, I will continue to read, read and keep trying different skills, keep reaching out to targets until the "specific" buyer comes.
Thanks for your feedback thou. Appreciate

therealMcCain:
SH will reject it.

That doesn't mean the name won't sell.

what comes to your mind when you hear hostelprice?

Well, as the domain clearly shows, HOSTEL business.
But it can alternatively be used in property, hotel and building businesses...
