Science/TechnologyVice President, Prof. Oshinbajo Shares Govt's Plan For Technology & Innovation by ikpebu(op): 4:09pm On Apr 30, 2016
Professor Yemi Oshinbajo shared the Federal Government's plan for Technology and Innovation in Nigeria today.

He did this in his keynote speech at "The Platform Abuja" powered by Pastor Poju Oyemade and the Covenant Christian Centre.

Here is the plan

"The Federal Government’s plan for Technology and Innovation:

We are establishing technology innovation hubs across the country. 2 super hubs; one in Lagos and Abuja and 6 regional technology hubs in the 6 Geo-political zones.

In partnership with several major technology companies, the hubs will be fully resourced with infrastructure and capacity building tools. Each hub will be designed to produce relevant innovative technology solutions to a wide range of business, commercial and Government problems. For example, Alternative Energy Solutions, Creative technology, Public Service delivery in health education and government processes.import substitution etc.

Also starting in July of this year (2016) we have budgeted for the training of 65,000 young Nigerians in Hardware and Software services and more sophisticated services such as animation.

This would mean, we would be building more local capacity to build and assemble hardware and to write innovative programs. We’ll also be focusing on technology for media and entertainment. We intend to create a reservoir of human capacity in technology that can be exported internationally. Nigeria can lead India as a market for technology and innovation and talent.

Even our training of 500,000 graduates as volunteer teachers also has a technology component. Each of them in phases will be given a device which will contain a variety of technological training applications to enable them attain varying degrees of proficiency in technology

On June 23rd, 2016 we are launching a special presidential initiative on innovative technology. We’ll be bringing together to the villa 50 of the most innovative start-ups, they’ll be meeting with major technology and innovation companies as well as venture capitalists, collaborating with the Federal Government to take their ideas to the next level.

We are also creating technology opportunities in our import substitution and diversification plan by encouraging innovative technologies to spearhead smart domestic production. For example, in Agriculture our extension services will man and map soil data with best crop and harvest practices, ensuring that farmers get relevant and tailored advice via cloud technology

Also we see immense possibilities for medicine and education. The scale and dimension of our innovation aspiration clearly demonstrates that we hope to achieve a lot in a very short space of time."

BusinessInterview With Founder Of Food Fashion Fusion - Nkem Odewunmi by ikpebu(op): 8:54am On Mar 17, 2016
“Our selling point is really taking everyday ingredients and transforming them into extraordinary food. We also aim to use a lot of local produce wherever possible. And I hope that we can give not just Nigeria, but Nigerian cuisine an appeal that crosses cultures.” – Nkem Odewunmi, Founder and CEO of Food, Fashion and Fusion.

Food, fashion and Fusion (FFF) was founded by Nkem Odewunmi, a lawyer who had spent several years in the corporate and non-profit sectors and interestingly had no formal culinary training. But the sight and aroma of the gorgeous (permit me to use this word) dishes tells otherwise. She is really good and passionate about food. It shows.

Nkem says she has been cooking since she was about eight years old and even as a child she was always intrigued by food – the flavours, the colours, the textures, the preparation and the eating experience. According to her, “Even as a child, I would know if I enjoyed something or something tasted terrible.” “I was that child that would put something in my mouth and would immediately be able to discern the flavours”.

On how she came about the phrase Food Fashion Fusion, she had this to say. “When I started a blog, I was writing about my interest in Food and Fashion; things I liked, trends, things I was doing, things I was buying, things I was wearing. But when I started the company, because of the manner in which I go about preparing my food and eventually presenting the food, I coined what I call “Food Fashion”. So Food Fashion Fusion, beyond just a delicious wholesome meal, is about beautiful, aesthetically pleasing food; this is what Food Fashion Fusion is all about.”

She claims she found support in her family who urged her to go into business and in fact invested in the business after they saw the demand for her food. Aptly stated on her website, “FFF is a love child that has been nurtured by all who love me and love good food. I have the best support I could ask for. My amazing husband and children keep me grounded while lovingly appreciating and critiquing my culinary endeavors.”

Phones5 Things The Samsung Galaxy S7 And S7 Edge Can Do That The Iphone Can't by ikpebu(op): 8:19am On Mar 12, 2016
We all know about the intense battle between Apple and Samsung which has been on for a while now but this article isn’t here to start another battle, especially between fanboys. Last year, both Apple and Samsung dominated the smartphone business, with Samsung’s phones accounting for 22% of the global market and Apple’s taking just 16%, according to IDC .

This year’s Galaxy phones are the company’s best, taking over from it’s predecessor which is the S6. Despite the similarities with the S6, the S7 packs some new outstanding improvements which actually makes it beat last years iPhone 6s. Like better camera, improved design, water resistance and of course the memory card slot.

I’m an Apple fanboy but for once let’s just take a look at Samsung’s latest contender,”which i’m frankly quite impressed with” and compare with Apple’s flagship.

Here’s a look at five features the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge has over the iPhone;

Quick launch to the camera

You can double press the home button to launch the camera. This, Samsung claims, lets users launch the camera in less than a second. Apple doesn’t have the same shortcut, but you can launch the camera quickly from the home screen by tapping on the camera icon in the lower right corner.

Take clearer low-light photos without using flash

The SAmsung Galaxy S7 Takes great images in dim conditions. Samsung has increased the size of the pixels in its camera sensor, which lets it take in more light. That being said, Apple also has its own methods of improving photography in poorly lit situations. The iPhone 6s is capable of using the phone’s screen as a flash when taking photos with the front-facing camera, for instance.

Make payment without NFC

Most mobile payment systems, including Apple Pay, rely on a technology called Near Field Communication (NFC) to connect your smartphone to a payment terminal. While NFC support is becoming more common in the retail world, it’s still not everywhere. Samsung Pay, however, can be used with almost any payment terminal. That means it works just about anywhere credit cards are accepted regardless of whether or not the cash register supports NFC.

Charge your phone without plugging it in

Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 can be charged wirelessly. Rather than plugging the phone into an outlet, users can rest the device on a charging pad to replenish its battery. Although there are ways that allow wireless charging on the iPhone, but unfortunately, it’s not officially supported by Apple.

Add extra storage space

Galaxy S7 owners can add more storage space to their device by popping in a new microSD card. Both phones support up to 200GB in extra storage space.

This video is at a recent TEDx event in Berlin where Nuhu Ribadu talks about Corruption in Nigeria. He shares his experience as the Chairman of EFCC and three notable cases while in office. He talks about Emmanuel Nwude who singlehandedly defrauded a Brazilian bank of $254million which led to the collapse of the bank, the Halliburton case involving former Vice President Dick Cheney and James Ibori

Nuhu Ribadu is founding chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the organization that changed the narrative of the fight against corruption and financial crimes in Nigeria.

TV/MoviesNBC Issues Statement On Dstv's Airing Of Teen Transgender Programme "I Am Jazz" by ikpebu(op): 11:04am On Oct 24, 2015
The Nigerian National Broadcasting Commission has issued a statement on the proposed DSTV's proposed airing of TLC's transgender programme "I am Jazz".

There has been news on social media that DSTV has been airing an advert for "I am Jazz" on their TLC channel 172 which is set to start showing on DSTV in Nigeria on the 27th of October 2015.

"I am Jazz" is a reality TV series about Jazz, a transgender kid; an 11 year old boy who has "transitioned" into a girl.

This brought about a petition online asking people to protest by sending an email to the National Broadcasting Commission at info@nbc.gov.ng and complaints on their website http://www.nbc.gov.ng.

It would seem that this protest worked as the NBC issued a statement yesterday assuring Nigerians that it will investigate and ensure it will safeguard Nigerian airwaves and ensure the peoples' right to quality broadcasting. This statement is on its website.

Here is the Press statement from NBC

TRANSGENDER PROGRAMME ON DSTV

The attention of the National Broadcasting Commission has been drawn to the concern shown by some members of the public about alleged plans by the TLC channel on the DSTV to begin airing a programme, I am Jazz, the story of a transgender child.
The Commission has since drawn the attention of the service provider to this concern and has received firm assurances that they will investigate, and if they confirm that the programme is indeed promoting undesirable ideas that would offend the Nigerian public, they would pull the plug on the programme.
The National broadcasting Commission has further assured Nigerians that as the regulator of the industry it will continue to safeguard Nigerian airwaves and ensure the peoples’ right to quality broadcasting.
The Commission also commends the concerned citizens that raised the matter for their constructive approach to the issue, stating that it is always ready to receive complaints from the public, and invited people to use the complaint facilities provided on the website of the commission, www.nbc.gov.ng, to report any unprofessional or harmful broadcast, which would help the Commission to properly regulate the industry for the good of society.

Romance8 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Get Married by ikpebu(op): 4:34pm On Sep 12, 2015
Marriage is a big deal around these parts.

It is an assumption that many people settle down because they finally found the right person and they also feel it is the right time to take such step. It is also an assumption that getting married is an ‘achievement’ so some people feel the need to get married not because they found the right person but because of the change in status.

There are so many myths too, like ‘love is not a necessity in a relationship, and it can be found after marriage’ or that one can find the greatest fulfillment ‘only’ in marriage.

There are so many opinions on what is right and not right. While getting married is desirable, it is not the ultimate goal. Staying happily married forever is the goal. To achieve this, one needs to be sure one is settling down for the right reasons.

See, I rebelliously enjoy humming my favourite nursery rhymes and bopping my head to whatever tune I am feeling in a moment not minding the curious looks I get from passersby. That way I get to preserve a little bit of my childhood, I get to be free the way only a child can be. Given my carefree attitude, I was the last person anyone close to me thought would settle down when I did. Not because I wasn’t ‘old’ enough but more because they understand that my carefree attitude was just a façade.

They wanted to know if I held myself to the same qualities I preached. So, I got asked ‘plenty’ questions after I introduced my fiancé. I got asked questions like ‘what does being in love feel like?’ and the questions got even weirder after my engagement, I got asked ‘How did you know he is the one?’ Are you in love with him? Is he in love with you? Do you think he settled? Do you think you settled? What were your reasons for saying yes? How did you know you are ready? Etc.

I have always believed no one needs to be rushed into taking a decision that alters one’s life path forever and I don’t blame them for watching out for me because I’d ask them same questions.

In truth, there are so many things one considers before one takes that bold step. However one needs to be well guided so as not to regret one's decision.Be mindful not to make an avoidable mistake;

1. Don’t get married hoping to get self-control: If you are having problems keeping your zipper closed, putting a ring on it wouldn’t stop that urge. That hot girl you can’t get out of your thoughts wouldn’t rapture simply because you are getting married. Your hot ex wouldn’t skip town just because you have settled down. So, tackle the real issue and not just compound your problems.

2. Don’t get married because everyone is getting married: We all grow differently, I don’t think I would have survived the first year of my marriage if I had gotten married earlier. Age is not always directly proportional to experience but we can’t deny that there is a better understanding that comes with age. So, if everyone in your class are all boo-ed up and loving it. Don’t hop into it if you don’t feel ready within yourself. Forget whatever fad. You are not every Sidikat, John and Carolina, you don’t need to join the wagon.

Christianity EtcIs The Blood Moon Prophecy A Sign Of The End Times? by ikpebu(op): 9:55am On Oct 08, 2014
Today, Wednesday October 8, we shall see the second of the four-part series of the Blood Moon eclipses.

A blood moon, a total lunar eclipse, causes the planet Earth to cast its shadow on the surface of the moon. A shade of red then taints the moon as it passes due to the reflection of the light from the sun.

According to NASA, during this episode, the moon will appear 5.3% larger than it did during the April 15 eclipse and the eclipse will last 59 minutes. The entire October 08 eclipse is visible from the Pacific Ocean and regions immediately bordering it but none of the eclipse is visible from Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

The times are slated as follows–the partial eclipse begins at 5:18 a.m. EDT, with the full eclipse beginning at about an hour later at 6:27 a.m. The maximum eclipse is set for 6:55 a.m., with the full eclipse ending at 7:22 a.m. Sunrise will take place at 7:57 a.m.

This is an important event in the astronomer's calendar; but does it mean anything to the true believer?

John Hagee, Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio Texas and author of “Four Blood Moons: Something is About to Change,” seems to think this is a significant event in the Christian Calendar. He postulates, along with Mark Blitz of El Shaddai Ministries, that an ongoing tetrad (a series of four consecutive total lunar eclipses, with six full moons in between, and no intervening partial lunar eclipses) which began with the April 2014 lunar eclipse is a sign of the end times.

The dates of Biblical prophecy Blood Moons in 2014 and 2015 are:

2014:
Total lunar eclipse: April 14-15
Total lunar eclipse: October 7-8

2015:
Total lunar eclipse: April 4
Total lunar eclipse: September 28

The idea of a "blood moon" serving as an omen of the coming of the end times comes from the Book of Joel in the Bible, where it is written "the sun will turn into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes." (Joel 2:31) This phrase is again mentioned by Saint Peter during Pentecost, as recorded in Acts 2:20.

John Hagee claims that every prior tetrad of the last 500 years coincided with events in Jewish and Israeli history that were originally tragic, yet followed by triumph.

He maintains that the tetrad holds religious significance, particularly because the first two blood moons align with the Passover and the Feast of Tabernacle. Hagee told Fox News that the tetrad signals the end of the modern era.

“Technically, the end times began with the outpouring of Pentecost 2,000 years ago,” said Hagee. “We have been in the end times a long time.”

Hagee says that any change brought by the four blood moons will impact Israel.

He references three previous dates as examples of that. They include the expulsion of the Jews from Spain (1492), the years right after Israel was declared a nation-state (1949-50), and the Six-Day War (1967).

“Each time it has gone from tragedy to triumph,” said Hagee.

“This is something that the Bible using the sun, the moon, and the stars as a communication system to humanity says something is about to change and world history is going to change forever,” said Hagee.

Though some Christians strongly believe that this year's 'blood moon' eclipses are related to biblical prophecy, some others do not. An example is the Rev. Mark Hitchcock, a preacher and biblical prophecy expert in Edmond, Oklahoma. He told The Oklahomian that he doesn't believe the eclipses are related to Bible prophecy.

He points out that while rare astronomical occurrences can often be read about in the Bible, the upcoming lunar eclipses is not one of them. He explained in his recently released book, "Blood Moons Rising: Bible Prophecy, Israel and the Four Blood Moons," that after examining historical and scriptural information, he believes that "the conclusions they draw on this blood moon prophecy of 2014 and 2015 are not valid."

As for me, I would like to state that everyone should be prepared for that day; whether tomorrow or next year. Jesus is definitely coming soon.

Christianity EtcGetting Christians Prepared For Sex In Marriage by ikpebu(op): 1:06pm On Jan 07, 2014
I once talked with a young man who confessed that he strayed from his marriage and gave way to temptation. When I asked him why he did so, he said his wife was not romantic and he also had premature ejaculation issues.

He felt so inadequate and insecure that he was not satisfying his wife and sex was getting very boring. He found solace in his ex-girlfriend who made him feel like a man even with his "perceived inadequacies".

I then asked if he treated the subject of Sex in his premarital counselling classes. Unfortunately the answer was NO. It is interesting that some Christians are not ready for this aspect of life before they get married. And You don't have to be involved in this act before marriage because premarital Sex is NOT allowed.

Some might ask, "So how do I get prepared sexually for my marriage?"

First of all, as uncomfortable as it might seem to talk about this topic, Sex plays a big role in every marriage. You need to understand this. It is one of the major causes of problems in homes.

Secondly, you also need to understand the difference between the world's view of sex which might influenced you and God's view of Sex. You might have been influnced by friends, by the Television. Get to know God's idea of Sex. Read previous posts on Christians, God never intended sexual intimacy for procreation alone - Part 1 and Part 2.

Thirdly, you need to understand the sexual differences between men and woman. When it comes to sex, men and women are wired differently.
I will like to recommend two books on the topic of Sex and getting to know what to expect.

- The Act of Marriage by Tim and Beverly LaHaye
- Sheet Music by Dr Kevin Leman. However, Dr Leman recommends reading chapters one to four before marriage and another chapter that is written for men (if you are male) or women (if you are female). He strongly recommends waiting until after marriage to read the other chapters.

So do not be naive and jump in with your eyes closed. Get prepared. Read and be informed.

FamilyDo You Want Revenge Or You Want To Stay Married? by ikpebu(op): 10:16am On Jan 07, 2014
I heard a story about a woman who caught her husband with another woman. The lady, a doctor, came back from a hospital call one night and saw her husband sleeping with another woman on her matrimonial bed. She was so shocked; she dropped her bag, stepped back and closed the bedroom door without a word.

She went back to the hospital and went into a rage. Thereafter, she called an elderly aunt and told her what she had seen. The elderly aunt asked her the question, Do you want revenge or you want to stay married? The lady was taken aback by the question. The aunt went further, If you want revenge, I will tell you what to do but I guarantee you that this is not the right solution. However, if you want to stay married, I will tell you what to do. Go back home and behave as if nothing happened. But how can I pretend nothing happened? she cried out. I can never forgive him. The wise aunt replied, if you really want to stay married, just do as I say.

So the doctor went back home and pretended as if she didn't see anything. She continued his life as if everything was normal. However, this was not the case with the husband. He knew she had seen him but was puzzled that she didn't say anything. Two days after, he couldn't take it anymore. He went and confessed to his family and the wife's family that he had committed adultery and they should beg his wife for forgiveness.

Now as a christian, what would you do if you caught your spouse redhanded committing adultery? I must admit, it is a tough question for a lot of people. This is a question I ask most of the people who come for premarital counselling. Some of them are surprised that I should ask such a question. Some believe it can never happen. But I still ask, what if it happens, what will you do? Some tell me that that will be the end of the marriage and that they will never forgive the other spouse. They never consider that they actually may have had a hand in the other person going astray.

As for me, I tell them. If it happens to me, I will ask Where have I missed it? Why did I not see it coming? Spiritually or even physically. But I will still have to forgive.

Now I know the Bible gives the innocent party a chance to ask for a divorce based on Matthew 19: 1-12, but reading the passage carefully, Jesus says "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning"

Now if you catch your spouse redhanded or he confesses to you that he has been unfaithful, I would suggest the following steps:

For the innocent party,
- Talk with the unfaithful spouse. Try and find out the reason for this. You may hear stories like "you are not always around" or "you are not - romantic"or you use sex to manipulate me. If you are partly to blame, commit to working on the issues
- Pray for grace to forgive the erring partner
- DO NOT withhold forgiveness from the erring partner
- Work to increase the communication between the two of you
- Add your marriage to your daily prayer list and diligently pray for your marriage

For the guilty party,
- Talk with your partner and ask for forgiveness.
- Repent and Ask God for forgiveness
- Find out what caused you to sin and guard your heart against it occurring again
- Work to increase the communication between the two of you
- Add your marriage to your daily prayer list and diligently pray for your marriage

For those who have gone through this, I guess you may say I do not understand the hurt, the pain, the betrayal. All I can say is that it may not be easy but it is doable. Imagine Jesus Christ dying on the cross and those he helped shouting Crucify Him, crucify Him. He would have allowed the the wrath of God to be visited on them but He said, Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.

As hard as it might seem, that should be our standard. Also ponder and think about What Would Jesus Do?

TV/MoviesHave You Tried To Search For Friends On Google? Check Out This Google "Reunion" by ikpebu(op): 4:29pm On Dec 03, 2013
I must admit that I have actually reunited with old friends through Google. Even though I have not been able to meet all of them yet. Guess some of them (of the old brigade) are not still comfortable with listing their details online.

However seeing this recent video from Google titled "Reunion" brings back the feeling that everything is indeed possible with Google. The video has garnered over 9 million views since it was published on the 13th of November this year. It is about a granddaughter's (in India) quest to surprise her grandfather on his birthday by reuniting him with his childhood friend (who is now in Pakistan) after over 6 decades of separation, with a little help from Google Search. The India-Pakistan partition in 1947 separated many friends and families overnight. Watch it and see.....Quite emotional. Have you tried to search for old friends using Google Search?

BusinessMicrosoft Buys Nokia's Phone Business For $7.2 Billion by ikpebu(op): 10:02am On Sep 03, 2013
Microsoft has announced that it will buy Nokia's phone business and license its patent for $7.2 billion (€5.44 billion). This is a good move for Microsoft as it has been criticized for coming late into the mobile business.

Microsoft will pay $4.99 billion for Nokia's business and another $2.17 billion for its portfolio of patents. 32,000 Nokia staff will move to Microsoft, including Stephen Elop who will step aside as the President and CEO to become executive vice president of Nokia devices and services. This will be a return for Elop who was in Microsoft between 2008 and 2010.

Under the terms of the agreement, Microsoft will acquire substantially all of Nokia’s Devices and Services business, including the Mobile Phones and Smart Devices business units as well as an industry-leading design team, operations including all Nokia Devices & Services-related production facilities, Devices & Services-related sales and marketing activities, and related support functions.

“It’s a bold step into the future – a win-win for employees, shareholders and consumers of both companies. Bringing these great teams together will accelerate Microsoft’s share and profits in phones, and strengthen the overall opportunities for both Microsoft and our partners across our entire family of devices and services,” said Steve Ballmer, Microsoft chief executive officer. “In addition to their innovation and strength in phones at all price points, Nokia brings proven capability and talent in critical areas such as hardware design and engineering, supply chain and manufacturing management, and hardware sales, marketing and distribution.”

“We are excited and honored to be bringing Nokia’s incredible people, technologies and assets into our Microsoft family. Given our long partnership with Nokia and the many key Nokia leaders that are joining Microsoft, we anticipate a smooth transition and great execution,” Ballmer said. “With ongoing share growth and the synergies across marketing, branding and advertising, we expect this acquisition to be accretive to our adjusted earnings per share starting in FY15, and we see significant long-term revenue and profit opportunities for our shareholders.”

“For Nokia, this is an important moment of reinvention and from a position of financial strength, we can build our next chapter,” said Risto Siilasmaa, Chairman of the Nokia Board of Directors and, following today’s announcement, Nokia Interim CEO. “After a thorough assessment of how to maximize shareholder value, including consideration of a variety of alternatives, we believe this transaction is the best path forward for Nokia and its shareholders. Additionally, the deal offers future opportunities for many Nokia employees as part of a company with the strategy, financial resources and determination to succeed in the mobile space.”

“Building on our successful partnership, we can now bring together the best of Microsoft’s software engineering with the best of Nokia’s product engineering, award-winning design, and global sales, marketing and manufacturing,” said Stephen Elop, who following today’s announcement is stepping aside as Nokia President and CEO to become Nokia Executive Vice President of Devices & Services. “With this combination of talented people, we have the opportunity to accelerate the current momentum and cutting-edge innovation of both our smart devices and mobile phone products.”

Sports£85million Gareth Bale Presented At Real Madrid - Is This A Good Investment? by ikpebu(op): 10:43pm On Sep 02, 2013
[img][/img]
Real Madrid presented Gareth Bale at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu today after completing his move to the Spanish capital from Tottenham Spurs.

The Welshman, with a transfer fee record of £85 million, is now the most expensive player in the world. Bale successfully passed his medical before signing a six-year contract with the Spanish giants, where he will link up with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Despite the huge outlay, I wonder if this is a good investment for the club. How will it recoup the cost of the transfer fee? Of course, he was brought in to help the club win a record 10th European Cup title this season, something that has become an obsession for the club in recent years; but is the amount not too much?

Will Real Madrid be able to recoup this fee from Gareth Bale's in direct sales of replica shirts with his name on, or in media exposure? I don't think so.

However Florentino Pérez Rodríguez the current president of Real Madrid Football Club seems to think otherwise; he believes that for clubs like Real Madrid, expensive footballers such as Gareth Bale pay for themselves, both on and off the pitch. At the beginning of this summer, he even said "Regarding the figures spoken about Bale, players are neither cheap nor expensive, but an investment. Most expensive players are those that can be classified as an investment because, if they are very good, they produce a return."

Well when you consider what he has gotten from Real Madrid's record purchase of Christiano Ronaldo in 2009 for £80 million, he might know what he is talking about. He boasted that he would make the money back in merchandise sales. Indeed he did. The club announced a year later that it had made £90 million, mainly from Ronaldo's No. 9 jersey and other memorabilia.

Will he strike gold again with Gareth Bale? Guess time will tell....

What do you think?

This is an interesting question but what would you really say if you entered a taxicab driven by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Well, this happened to some residents in Norway when the Prime Minister decided to try a different approach of getting feedback from the Norwegian citizens. Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg decided to act as a Taxi Cab driver in Oslo last week.

Christianity EtcRichie Parker, Has No Hands But Is A Vehicle Engineer At Hendrick Motorsports by ikpebu(op): 12:25am On Aug 07, 2013

Sometimes I come across some stories and it strikes a chord deep in me, reminding me that whatever life deals you, success or failure is dependent on how you deal with.

This story is about a man born with no hands but works as an a vehicle engineer at NASCAR's most winning organization, Hendrick Motorsports.

I came across this video about Richie Parker who works as a vehicle engineer at Hendrick Motorsports on "The Christian Post". He reminds me of Nick Vijucic, the man born without arms and legs.

Richie Parker was born in Beaufort, S.C in May 1983 with a non-genetic birth defect called bilateral amelia that left him without arms.
