A friend just came back from Qatar after the Morocco – Portugal game and he said “What money cannot do, does not exist.” He said, do you know that all the stadiums used for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar are air-conditioned? I opened my mouth in awe. I wondered how they managed to make a whole stadium air-conditioned. But I said, some of the stadiums are open at the top and how come? I imagined the power required to make a whole stadium cool enough for players and fans. I did some research and found out about the technology behind the cooling system. So this technology was developed by Qatar University with Saud Ghani, a professor of engineering at the same University playing a pivotal role. Interestingly Dr. Ghani’s PhD study focused on air conditioning in a car and the same theory was applied the World Cup stadiums – but obviously on a much bigger scale The technology uses solar-powered energy to cool outside air and then distribute the cool air through grills in the stands and large pitch-side nozzles. According to Dr. Ghani also known by his friends as “Dr. Cool”, “Spot cooling means we only cool the areas where people need it – like on the pitch and in the stands.” “The form of each stadium acts as a barrier, which contains a cold bubble inside. Our air circulation technique cools the air, filters it and pushes it out towards the players and fans. Each stadium is cooled to a comfortable temperature of around 20 degrees, with spot cooling enhancing our commitment to sustainability and the environment,” he adds. Ghani says the aim of the air conditioning is to allow players to play safely and for fans to “feel neutral,” as opposed to too cold, though some fans reported being too cold in the arena hosting the breezy opening night, according to the Associated Press. Ghani adds that a lot of work has been done to stop the cool air inside stadiums from mixing with the hot air outside. “The trick is to make sure that you keep your bubble isolated, the micro bubble from the macro bubble outside,” says Ghani. “Cold air is heavier, it stays at the bottom. Hot air is lighter and stays on the top,” he says, likening the physics to oil and water. Can you believe that Qatar has not patented this technology? This means that businesses and countries can use it to develop similar systems “This technology is a potential game-changer for countries with hot climates. That is why I made sure that anyone can use it,” said Dr. Saud. “I am very proud that this technology, which originated here in Qatar, can be adapted by other countries and businesses. It is one of Qatar’s many gifts to the world, resulting from its hosting of the World Cup.” I wonder if Nigeria or any emerging country can use this technology to make life better for their peoples Source: https://innovation-village.com/do-you-know-that-the-stadiums-used-for-the-fifa-world-are-air-conditioned/

Konga, one of the leading eCommerce companies in Nigeria has sacked over 300 members of staff. Most of these people received their sack letters yesterday, 30th of November. The news was first reported by Quartz Africa and verified independently from some of the affected staff. A medium post by the CEO, Shola Adekoya, shows that this is a result of the internal restructuring carried out by the eCommerce company to align its operations with a prepay only model and our intention to stop warehousing activities. In his post titled “Konga Transitioning to Prepay only”, he said In mid-November, Konga.com made a bold step and became a prepay only platform. In recent years, we have explored several solutions for payment and e-commerce in Nigeria and concluded that prepay is a necessary approach for our business and the market. Given the cost of inflation and increasing challenges of managing payment-on-delivery, as well as the resulting level of order cancellations on the platform, we had to take this decision. We will continue to review other ways to provide payment-on-delivery to customers, but for the time being, we are prepay only. We have enabled a contact seller button that allows open communication between and seller and buyer in cases where pay on delivery transactions still need to be carried out directly between the seller and the buyer. This decision means that we can run a more efficient business and focus our energies on orders that we are sure customers want. It also means that our operating costs will be lower, putting us on a better track where we can solve deeper issues that paying customers face on the platform. In line with this new approach, today we announced an internal restructuring to align our operations with a prepay only model and our intention to stop warehousing activities. Unfortunately, this resulted in a headcount reduction. Letting go of colleagues and friends is not an easy decision, but one that naturally stems from these changes. With the support of our investors, those impacted will be duly compensated. Our Customers, Merchants and Franchisees should expect to see an improvement in service quality, which continues to be the core of our business approach and we are now better shaped to look into other issues other than cash handling. Shola says that the company has seen a strong shift toward online payment and expects to share insights later. https://innovation-village.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/silas-adekunle.jpg British-Nigerian CEO, Silas Adekunle, of Reach Robotics has struck a deal with Apple to sell the company’s gaming robot, MekaMon, in Apple Stores across UK and USA and also online on Apple.com SIlas Adekunle is a First Class engineering graduate from the University of the West of England, with a Bachelor of Science in robotics technology. He previously worked at GE Aviation and Infineon. He founded Reach Robotics in 2013 with co-founders John Rees and Chris Beck. Reach Robotics is based at the Bristol Robotics Laboratory (BRL) Technology Incubator in Bristol, UK. MekaMon, the flagship product of Reach Robotics, is the result of the incorporation of augmented reality into robotics. Reach Robotics has created a new branch of gaming – one that totally immerses the player by putting their four-legged robots into battle in both the physical and virtual worlds with both iOS and Android compatibility. After selling out of its initial run of 500, U.K.-based Reach Robotics scored a $7.5 million funding round to help it produce a more consumer-ready version of its battling robotics platform. https://innovation-village.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/MekaMon-Battle-Robots-5-e1511431471820.jpg “We’ve created an entirely new video gaming platform,” said Silas Adekunle, CEO of Reach Robotics. “MekaMon straddles both the real and virtual worlds while taking the gaming experience beyond a player’s screen and turning their sitting room into a limitless robotic battle zone. MekaMon represents a quantum leap forward in the leveraging of augmented reality. Players can whip out their smartphone to battle their multi-functional, connected battlebots in the physical and virtual worlds at the same time.” Beyond creating an entirely new category of entertainment, gamers also get to benefit from the MekaMon robot’s unprecedented and sophisticated degree of movement. MekaMon Specs and Features: Smartphone Compatibility: MekaMon can be enjoyed on updated iOS and Android devices and uses the phone’s camera and infrared sensors for precision game-play. Portability: Each robot weighs approximately 2.2lb, is 11.8in x 11.8in x 5.9in in dimension and has a removable, rechargeable battery for at least one hour of non-stop play-time. Bluetooth and Infrared Battlezones: Powered by the smartphone app, MekaMon robots connect to each other via infrared signals and players’ phones connect to each other over Bluetooth, allowing friends to battle against each other as well as offering arcade-style and co-operative game-play. Choose your World: Gamers choose whether to play in the real world or augmented reality – once battles starts, the robot is free to move and use any object in the room (e.g. tables, chairs, other toys, etc.) to block and/or hide from attackers! Customizability: A MekaMon robot can be customized to suit a user’s individual playing style, adding weapons or shields to create more aggressive, defensive and technical capabilities. “As the world’s first premium gaming robot, MekaMon fits neatly into the emerging category of smartphone-enabled, augmented reality products,” added Adekunle. “By fusing robotics, reality-bending technology and competitive play, we’re offering players a new twist on hardware and video games – a premium robotics product that’s easy to play but very difficult to master.” MekaMon retails at $299.95 and can be purchased here on https://www.apple.com/shop/product/HLJ52ZM/A/mekamon-robot Source: http://innovation-village.com/silas-adekunles-gaming-robots-mekamon-now-available-apple-stores/ |
https://innovation-village.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Nigerian-Boblsed-team-1-e1510896356775.jpg The Nigerian Women's Bobsled team made up of Bobsled pilot Seun Adigun, and brakemen Ngozi Onwumere and Akuoma Omeoga, will be the first African team to be at a Winter Olympics. They will be at the 2018 Winter Olympics taking place in PyeongChang, South Korea in February 2018. The team completed the fifth of their required five qualifying races on Wednesday, to qualify in the Bobsled category. The team established a crowdfunding website in November 2016 to raise $75,000 to get to PyeongChang. Upon discovering the page, Visa was inspired by their story and determination and pledged to help solidify the team’s trip to the Olympic Winter Games. What is amazing is that it does not snow Nigeria but these ladies Seun Adigun, Ngozi Onwumere and Akuoma Omeoga, created a team to represent Nigeria and trained outside Nigeria. Seun Adigun says she "was inspired to start the Nigerian Women's Bobsled team in hopes of being the first ever African representative, men or women, to qualify for the Winter Olympic Games in the sport of Bobsled." "This is a huge milestone for sports in Nigeria," driver Adigun told KweséESPN. "Nothing makes me prouder than to know that I can play a small role in creating opportunities for winter sports to take place in Nigeria. "Our objective now is to be the best representation of Africa that the Winter Olympics have ever witnessed." Solomon Ogba, President of the Bobsled and Skeleton Federation of Nigeria, was understandably thrilled at the achievement, saying via a media statement: "I commend the personal dedication and commitment of these women. "Their hard work was inspiring and I hope Nigerians can appreciate what it took for them to achieve this - the work, the discipline, and the personal sacrifices. They were amazing throughout this journey. "They are all very successful people in their own right - in sports and out of it, and somehow they are still motivated and still push for more success. "I have watched them train and work hard to represent Nigeria at the Winter Olympics in a very technical and high risk sport and they have achieved that. They should be very proud, and I am very proud of them." Congrats again!! Source: http://innovation-village.com/nigerias-womens-bobsled-team-first-african-team-qualify-winter-olympics/ |
https://innovation-village.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Capturehdbdnh.jpg The competition in Nigeria’s property space may be shrinking as one of the unarguably biggest property classified startups in the country-ToLet.com.ng– is consolidating its market position by acquiring Jumia House for an undisclosed amount. ToLet will now be known as ProperPro.ng. Recall last year that ToLet.com.ng raised $1.2m from Frontier Digital Ventures (FDV). According to the company’s CEO, Fikayo Ogundipe, “The new funds raised will be used to improve the platform’s technology offering to both property seekers as well as that used by listing agents. The rest of the funds will be channelled into improved marketing efforts and aggressive expansion across Nigeria over the next 12-18 months.” The acquisition which was at the behest of FDV means that the PropertyPro will combine ToLet’s 60,000 listings with Jumia House’s 22,000 to create the largest online real estate listings platform in Nigeria with 65 percent of the market. Commenting on the acquisition, Sulaiman Balogun, Co-Founder/Chief Business Officer at ToLet.com.ng said: “This is great news for our brand, this consolidation solidifies our position as the clear number one property vertical in Nigeria. It signifies a maturing in the online property classifieds market for Africa. We are now working with an entire generation who are now accustomed to heading online as the first port of call for rental or purchase of properties.” He further disclosed to Innovation Village that: “The integration process has been mapped out and execution is already underway. ToLet.com.ng platform and Jumia House platform will be merged over the coming months, under the new name of PropertyPro.ng.” Meanwhile, in a press statement, FDV CEO and founder, Shaun Di Gregorio said the deal demonstrates the strength of the company’s entrepreneur-led online classifieds model, which provides a significant advantage over competitors which are fully owned and operated remotely by major online classifieds groups. “This transaction was a rare opportunity in the online classifieds space, and we are pleased that Jumia, a major African classifieds investor, reached out to Frontier with a strong desire to acquire Afribaba and complete this transaction,” Di Gregorio said. “The ultimate result for Frontier shareholders is that we have exited Afribaba and created three new market leaders in property verticals in Ghana, Nigeria (ToLet.com.ng) and Angola. Our businesses are now in a significantly improved position to commence rapid monetisation,” he added. So for his birthday, his family decided to pitch in to get him Enchroma glasses for his birthday. His reaction is priceless. This is what his wife said when she posted the video on YouTube; “Born colorblind, William lived his whole life in back and white. For his 66th birthday, his family decided to pitch in together to buy Enchroma glasses that have color correcting lenses that help the colorblind see color. This video is his expression to opening his gift and witnessing color for the first time.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqHlIRZnF38 Colour blindness (or colour vision deficiency (CVD)), is a condition where a person’s eyes are unable to see colours under normal light. People with colour blindness have a hard time telling colours apart from each other. Enchroma glasses are the only specialty eyewear that alleviates red-green colour blindness, enhancing colours without the compromise of colour accuracy. In other words, colour-blind people can see colours when they wear these glasses. WHO IS AFFECTED? It is estimated that Colour blindness affects 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women globally. The most common condition is the red-green colour blindness. Most people who suffer from colour blindness are not blind to colour, but have a reduced ability to see them. CVD can be acquired, but most are inherited genetically. The genes that influence the colours inside the eyes, called ‘photopigments,’ are carried on the X chromosome. If these genes are abnormal or damaged, colour blindness occurs. Do you know someone with colour blindness? The baby’s name is August. Mark and Priscilla wrote her a letter. Here is the contents of the letter below: Priscilla and I are so happy to welcome our daughter August! We wrote her a letter about the world we hope she grows up in, and also hoping she doesn't grow up too fast. --- Dear August, Welcome to the world! Your mom and I are so excited to see who you will become. When your sister was born, we wrote a letter about the world we hoped she and now you will grow up in -- a world with better education, fewer diseases, stronger communities, and greater equality. We wrote that with all the advances in science and technology, your generation should live dramatically better lives than ours, and we have a responsibility to do our part to make that happen. Even though headlines often focus on what's wrong, we still believe these positive trends will win out. We're optimists about your generation and the future. But rather than write about growing up, we want to talk about childhood. The world can be a serious place. That's why it's important to make time to go outside and play. You will be busy when you're older, so I hope you take time to smell all the flowers and put all the leaves you want in your bucket now. I hope you read your favorite Dr. Seuss books so many times you start inventing your own stories about the Vipper of Vipp. I hope you ride the carousel with Max until you've tamed every color horse. I hope you run as many laps around our living room and yard as you want. And then I hope you take a lot of naps. I hope you're a great sleeper. And I hope even in your dreams you can feel how much we love you. Childhood is magical. You only get to be a child once, so don't spend it worrying too much about the future. You've got us for that, and we'll do everything we possibly can to make sure the world is a better place for you and all children in your generation. August, we love you so much and we're so excited to go on this adventure with you. We wish you a life of joy, love and the same hope you give us. Love, Mom and Dad When the first child was born, he also shared a letter both of them wrote to her, announcing the Zuckberberg Chan Initiative. Despite the fact that English Premier league side, Manchester United did not finish within the top four in the Premier League, they are ranked as the most valuable club in Europe, according to KPMG, a global professional services firm. In fact, Manchester United have been valued at €3.004 billion (£2.61bn), ahead of both Real Madrid (€2.895bn) and Barcelona (€2.688bn). They are the first club to surpass the EUR 3 billion threshold. These facts are contained in the 2nd edition of the “Football Clubs’ Valuation: The European Elite 2017” report, which provides an indication of the Enterprise Value of the 32 most prominent European football clubs. With a combined Enterprise Value of EUR 29.9 billion, the aggregate value of Europe’s 32 leading clubs grew by 14 percent in comparison to last season. Andrea Sartori, KPMG’s Global Head of Sports and the report’s author, commented: “The aggregate value of Europe’s 32 leading football clubs suggests that the overall value of football, as an industry, has grown. While this is partially explained by football’s broadcasting boom, the internationalization of the clubs’ commercial operations, their investment into privately-owned and modern facilities, and overall more sustainable management practices, are also key reasons for this growth.” Sartori continued: “In terms of media rights value, the English Premier League sits comfortably at the top of European leagues, although other major leagues have outlined well-defined strategies to compete for the attention of global fans. However, unlike other factors, individual club’s ability to influence their broadcasting income is often limited, despite the very evident impact this revenue stream has on their Enterprise Value.” In 2017, English Premier League clubs dominated the ranking, accounting once again for approximately 40 percent of the aggregate Enterprise Value. Moreover, as a result of the broadcasting agreement which has started this season, their position is expected to be even more prominent in next year’s report. This year 10 clubs were valued in excess of EUR 1 billion, two more than in 2016, with Juventus FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC being the new entrants in this elite group, the latter ousting Paris Saint-Germain FC from the 10th position. Another remarkable change in the top-third of the table is Manchester City FC’s move to the fifth position, being valued at EUR 1.9 billion and surpassing Arsenal FC. The foundation of this report is an analysis of the latest publicly available financial statements for 39 European football clubs, of which the top 32 by EV are selected for the purpose of this publication. Thus, it is important to note that this analysis does not consider the business and sporting results achieved by each club in the 2016/17 football season The proprietary algorithm developed by KPMG and applied for the purposes of this report is consistent with the one applied last year. It is based on the Revenue Multiple approach, where each club’s revenues are multiplied by a specific multiple which takes five metrics into account—each one with a specific weight—expressing differences between clubs, the markets and the economies in which they operate THE WORLD’S 15 MOST VALUABLE FOOTBALL CLUBS: 1. Manchester United (€3.004bn) 2. Real Madrid (€2.895bn) 3. Barcelona (€2.688bn) 4. Bayern Munich (€2.367bn) 5. Manchester City (€1.909bn) 6. Arsenal (€1.882bn) 7. Chelsea (€1.524bn) 8. Liverpool (€1.260bn) 9. Juventus (€1.158bn) 10. Tottenham Hotspur (€978m) 11. Paris Saint-Germain (€948m) 12. Borussia Dortmund (€917m) 13. Atletico Madrid (€771m) 14. Schalke (€663m) 15. “Made in Aba” has been known to be associated with imitation goods but that is beginning to change and the Abia State government is solidly behind this move. Aba, located in the southeast of Nigeria and the commercial centre of Abia State is a bustling town of settlers – most of whom have been attracted by the lure of doing business in an energised community. It has a population of over 600,000, with over one-tenth of this population being artisans producing garments and leather shoes and fabricating machines. One in six of these people is a manufacturer and an employer of labour. The normal average in Aba is one shop owner to between five to seven workers. The most common refrain in Aba is, ‘When I finish I will get money to start my own’ and that is why you would get so many people who have more than two decade’s experience doing the same thing. These business owners continue to mentor others. To promote a new image for “Made In Aba” goods, a marketing agency, TBWA has partnered with Ford Foundation and the Abia State Government, to develop the “Proudly Made in Aba” campaign. The main objective is to change the negative impression associated with “Made in Aba” products and to attract the much needed investment into this area. More importantly this will be in massive resonance with new federal government policy of encouraging strong local industries and clusters. The “Proudly Made in Aba” campaign identified the industrial and commercial activities in Aba as a story that had strong potential for Nigeria’s economic growth. 2 Critical Gap Areas were identified which if properly addressed would help the city achieve its potential – Awareness & Capacity Building. This reminds me of the old “Made in Taiwan” term which existed in the sixties and seventies which was synonymous with fake and copied goods. Of course, this has changed. Will this also be the fate of Aba? Share your comments below Source: http://innovation-village.com/redeeming-made-aba-image/

Andela has launched its operations in Uganda. This is the third operating country for the Zuckerberg-backed developer startup. Andela already has operations in Nigeria and Kenya. Andela trains software developers for 6 months and then deploys them to tech companies around the world that need their skills. Andela says it chose Uganda after looking at every country in Africa with a population of 3M or more, and then evaluating those countries on a series of metrics including ICT (information and communications tech) prevalence, ICT quality, population, and median age. According to the tech startup, “Uganda is home to the second youngest population in the world, with 70% of the population below the age of 25. Andela sees this as an opportunity to equip the next generation of technologist and innovators in Kampala with the expertise they need to accelerate the advancement of their communities through technology.” “Uganda is also home to a vibrant tech scene, with several tech hubs and incubators (Hive Colab, Women in Technology, and Outbox among them) and tech events happening weekly. Over 50% of Uganda’s GDP is from the informal sector, which employs 80% of the workforce. We’ve already seen the impact of tech in the informal sector and Andela wants to accelerate that growth by developing the next generation of technology leaders.” Andela started off in Lagos, Nigeria three years ago and opened its Nairobi office two years ago. Just two weeks ago it moved its Nigerian office into a new building, EPIC towers in Lagos. It has grown from a founding team of six to over 600 Andelans spanning three countries and two continents. Last year June, Mark Zuckerberg and Dr. Priscilla Chan’s social issues-minded fund invested $24 million in Andela to enable the startup train more engineers in Africa to get tech jobs. Two top technology companies, Google and Facebook, have reacted to President Trump’s executive order on immigration. On Friday, President Trump made good his promise to make it harder for people from certain countries to visit America. The executive order “Protecting The Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into The United States“ which takes place with immediate effect, includes the immediate suspension of immigration from countries with ties to terror, including Syria, Yemen, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, Iran and Libya, for a time period of 90 days. It also calls for the complete suspension of Syrian refugees for an indefinite period. Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, immediately posted his remarks on his Facebook page. He said he was concerned about the impact of the recent executive orders by the President. He added, “We need to keep this country safe, but we should do that by focusing on people who actually pose a threat. Expanding the focus of law enforcement beyond people who are real threats would make all Americans less safe by diverting resources, while millions of undocumented folks who don’t pose a threat will live in fear of deportation.” Another technology giant, Google, has recalled travelling staff members to the US. According to its CEO, Sundar Pichai in a memo obtained by Bloomberg News to employees Friday, “It’s painful to see the personal cost of this executive order on our colleagues. “We’ve always made our view on immigration issues known publicly and will continue to do so.” Pichai said that more than 100 company staff are affected by the order. Some Google employees were traveling abroad and were trying to get back to the U.S. before the order took effect. The company asked them to reach out to Google’s security, travel, and immigration teams for assistance, according to a person familiar with the situation. The New York Daily News reported that the Department of Homeland Security issued a directive on Friday afternoon ordering the Customs and Border Control agency to enforce the executive order. The paper also added that late Friday, some green card and visa holders were already being blocked from boarding flights to the U.S. Read full report at http://innovation-village.com/facebook-google-react-president-trumps-executive-order-immigration/

As you may know, Big Cabal Media was one of the recipients of the N50 million from the first StartUp Dealday. Though it was an announcement that seemed to fly under the radar but getting an eight figure inflow into your business is nothing to sniff at. So we set out to ask the guys behind Big Cabal Media, Bankole Oluwafemi and Seyi Taylor, to tell us a bit more about this investment, at least what they are allowed to tell us. Question: Can you tell us exactly how much you got from Startup Dealday? Answer: As you well know, both BCM and Cafe Neo received N50m from the Lagos Angel Network. Question: Will this investment cause anyone to join your board? Is this investment going to change the faces on your Board? Answer: The investment isn’t triggering any board changes at the moment. Question: We know a lot of companies pitched for funds at the Startup DealDay but only two of you, Big Cabal Media and Café Neo were successful. What do you think gave you that extra edge? Why do you think you were chosen as one of the recipients? Answer: Almost 300 companies were shortlisted, and in the final pitch it came down to five, so you can imagine that it was no cakewalk. In the end, we came and showed them what we’ve been building for the past three years, and they decided that it was worth getting behind. Question: Now to the big question, what do you want to do with the funds? Are you going to expand your current operations, getting a new office?… Answer: Grow. Grow. Grow. Our current focus is scaling up all our current content properties to the point that they definitively dominate their categories and have substantial competitive moats. Question: Are you still looking for more investors in your business? Answer: Of course. Our vision is quite expansive and we’re always looking for new partners to join us. Question: What are the plans for the immediate future? Should we be expecting another online site pretty soon? Answer: Right now, we’re doubling down on our existing properties. But there certainly other interesting content plays incubating in our pipeline. Source: http://innovation-village.com/will-big-cabal-media-money/

The specs and design for the latest device in the Camon family – Camon C9, may have fortunately trickled down our path. Reports claim that the device spots a back camera that allegedly comes with a dual flash, and a front camera that’s strategically placed right in the top middle of the phone, to give you a perfect selfie, and stop you from craning your necks too much. So, if you are obsessed with selfies, the Camon C9 will strike your fancy. According to our sources, these spy shots should be the real deal, but we have our fingers crossed. Interestingly, our reports tell us that the Camon C9 is poised to come in various colours, ranging from the champagne gold, to the sandstone black and pearl white. Our spy shots also reveal that the device will spot an ultra slim body, and a metallic frame as thin as the iPhone 6S. With an entirely new design approach from the manufacturers, we absolutely believe this device will be wearing an exceptional look that might take any competitor some time to match. Reportedly, the device also features a 13MP dual flash back camera. This translates into one amazing fact – photos taken at night (or in darkness) will nonetheless maintain a great composition. With its great resolution the device is said to automatically select the right tone and intensity based on your scenery, also capturing the vibrancy of color in whatever light situations; which is first of its kind on a smartphone. If these reports are accurate, the Camon C9 from TECNO Mobile would be changing the face of innovation in the mobile device community. As would be expected from an upgrade this huge, the Camon C9 will be featuring TECNO’s latest customized user interface – HiOS. We are talking about a sleek, intuitive and instantly distinguishable user interface that makes your 3000mAh battery lasts like a 5000mAh battery, an interface that manages your data, apps, system functionality, and security. The HiOS is designed to suit your every need without the requirement of any third-party app. These features would ensure that the Camon C9 wouldn’t be just another device in the market; it would be an outright upgrade from its predecessors, and an instrument at tactfully toppling over competitions. There have been speculations, but we don’t have precise information on the price of the device. However, we expect that it will come in due time as we have from our reports that the device is set to launch this month. Keep your ears on the ground; we will keep you updated on more specific details of the device as it comes to our notice. Source: http://innovation-village.com/rumours-tecno-camon-c9-specs-design/

Many people are earnestly anticipating the release of the next flagship camera device from Tecno Mobile Nigeria. We have been inundated with lots of questions on when the next Camon device will be released. If you could recall Tecno Mobile launched the very first Camon device last year which was tagged Camon C8, it became an instant hit, out -selling most of the devices in the same price range. The huge sales recorded by the device was due to the amazing low –light performance of the camera. It was compared with that of the Iphone 6 and the word Camon is now a household name and many people are curious of what the next Camon device would look like. It seems that the wait is going to be over soon as we got what appears to be the image of the next Camon device: Tecno Camon C9. Dual front camera with dual flash The Camon C9 will probably come with dual front camera, which will be able to capture breath-taking selfie photos. If this turns out to be the final concept on the Camon C9, it’ll be the best selfie camera phone ever. Also, rumour has it that both front cameras will have 13MP shooters. We also noticed that the device in the image spots a dual flash which will be the first in the industry. Now, one can now capture the best moment even in the dark with the innovative dual flash on the front-facing camera with the device. Disclaimer: we do not have the complete specs of the device yet but we believe the upcoming Camon C9 is going to be a powerful camera device. source: http://innovation-village.com/camon-c9-leak/

Firstly, lets get the definition of a baby mama. Merriam-Webster's dictionary says A baby mama is "the mother of a man's biological child; especially one who is not married to or in a long-term, intimate relationship with the child's father" Nowadays it is not strange for men to flaunt the pictures of their baby mamas and for some ladies to own up to the fact that they are baby mamas. Society seems to have declared that there is nothing wrong with it and the minds of our young generation seem to have accepted it as a norm. The conscience of society has been seared. One question we should ask ourselves is this: Is it right or wrong? Or have we as human beings accepted it as normal? Let's think deeply. For the babymama Why would a woman want to be a baby mama? Is it because she feels she can have sex to trap a man? Or was the child a mistake or a result of having sex when you should not be having sex in the first place? Is there any problem with marrying the man and having children under the right conditions? Do you know what it is as a child, to be born out of wedlock and to grow up knowing this? Do you know what it is as a child, to grow up with an absentee father? For the man who has a babymama Why would you go around having sex when you know you are not ready to be a father? Why would you go around having sex when you know you don't want to marry the lady? Would you want your daughter to be a baby mama? Do you know what it is to be born out of wedlock and to grow up knowing this? There is a reason why God instituted marriage and stated that children should be born into homes with fathers and mothers. There is a reason why men should not go around having baby mamas. For all intents and purposes, women must uphold their rights to have good lives and it is not right to be called a baby mama. Do not let any man trick you to be a baby mama. The baby mama syndrome is not right for you and for society. - See more at: http://www.covenantrelationships.org/2016/05/is-there-anything-wrong-with-baby-mamas.html#sthash.tlgBlB2Y.dpuf |
You may think that it is cute as a parent to post your child’s photo running around in a nappy on Facebook or Twitter. However the child may think otherwise when he grows up. French authorities are saying you should think before you post it as you may face fines of up to £35,000 and a year in prison for posting intimate photos of your children on social media without permission as part of the country’s strict privacy laws. Grown-ups who sue their parents for breaching their right to privacy as children could obtain substantial compensation awards, according to French legal experts. According to the Guardian, “A 2015 study by internet company Nominet found parents in the UK post nearly 200 photos of their under fives online every year, meaning a child will feature in around 1,000 online photos before their fifth birthday.” “Parents have to work out what’s right for them, but be aware that this is another person, another human being, who may not thank them for it in 15 years to come.” so says Professor Nicola Whitton of Manchester Metropolitan University. She adds, “It may seem hard, but my line would be don’t put pictures online until they’re of an age where it’s appropriate to discuss it with them.” A recent University of Michigan study found that children aged 10 to 17 “were really concerned” about the ways parents shared their children’s lives online Jay Parikh, a vice-president of Facebook, said the service was considering setting up a system to notify parents who put photographs of children online without restricting their privacy settings. Mr Parikh said: “If I was putting online a photo of my kids playing in the park, and I accidentally shared it with everyone, the system could say: “Hey, wait a minute, this is a picture of your children. Usually you only send them to members of your family. Are you sure you want to do this?’” Source: http://innovation-village.com/warned-parents-can-sued-childrens-photos-social-media/
