Web design is not a valid career path, it's more like a hobby

No one will waste money hiring a web designer when they can hire a front end developer who do both design and development

Choose something else and venture into it like database admin, sys admin or cyber sec or

Better still go into trade or drive a taxi
I do backend development with php and mysql
Hmmm
Tell me more...Are you a python programmer or PHP programmer?

Hi There, i would advise you from an experience standpoint ( coming from a person that has stayed abroad for 4 years).
If your funds at the moment can support only her, let her go first. There are several benefits to this which includes but not limited to:
1. She can fit into a shared accommodation (has her room or en suite if that is available) and this will be taken cared of from your current budget.
2. She can start work and not be bothered about rushing home for the kids, this allows her focus and get her feet.
3. There is no timeline for dependants to join her (however study the times and revolving laws of the british gov)
4.The icing on the cake, once she settles down, you do not need to show huge proof of funds for each dependant when applying as she is already in the UK. I recently did an application and If am not mistaken, first dependant is around 350 pounds, subsequent dependants around 250 pounds each
So kindly refrain from all going at the same time as it will most certainly be a nightmare...Getting house these days is crazy as you dont have rent history and you cant just rent a house based on your pocket size, it has to be according to your family size and gender mix.Having said this, i know someone i warned and he ignored my warning, he was messed up greatly and one thing here is that, everyone has obligations and no one (few people) will be able to help. Once again, congrats on her job, thats a steady job that will lead into ILR easily as its an on demand job.. Don't rush , this requires a project management mentality with respect to planning instead and rejoice.. Cheers
Thanks bo$$.
But what's the difference between first and second dependants?

I and our baby are we first dependants and second dependants respectively?

Good morning great minds.
My wife just grot her COS from London Abulance service as a paramedic to resume duty Jan 2024. I have a baby who will be 6months by December.

What do you advise
1, Everybody goes by all means( Fund is huge)
2, She go alone with the funds available for now and after 1-3 months she send invite for us to join her by then she must have settled down a little.

Secondly how's life for a single mum overthere pending when we join her.

Hello great minds, I have a wife and a kid. My wife is a qualified EMT and she already got a COS to resume with London Abulance service. We would be relocating soon if all things works well by next year. But my worries have always been how is the market over there in the web designing industry. Am looking at working remotely though because that's what I have been used to over here in Nigeria.

Who here have been in my shoes and how did you pull through.

Haba, why all these bad advice...
We are in UK and we are all doing well to the glory of God.
If she got job as paramedic, great one for you...

Option 1.... she goes alone, take care of the child alone in Nigeria or get a female relative to help you, then join her maybe after 6 months or so.
She has COS I assume, hence you can always apply as dependent, you will get your visa.

Option 2...go with her to UK, you may not plan to work for now, let her do her paramedic job and you take care of baby at home. Bro, the money alone as paramedic will help all of you to survive well (na only 3 na, father, mother and small baby), even with bills, you will survive, just don't overdo/overspend, don't do what is not necessarily, dont eat/buy things not needed.
Moreover, its not like nigeria where you work without stopping, here you have a max number of hours to work in a week as per government rule, if you then decide to do extra, then you get your extra pay (I am talking about sponsorship jobs, not student visa)
She is also likely to do shift work as a paramedic, hence she would still be available sometimes depending on her shift, i(so it's not that bad)
Also when she is off work, you can do your own hustle.

Do you know that as at now £1 =1450-1500 naira?
Oga, don't dull yourself o..
But always remember to pray about any step you wanna take.
Shalom
Thank you

Thanks.... Quite some thoughts here. Let me also add that am in website designing and currently working from home.

How easy is it over there getting clients remotely. Majority of my clients here in Niger are through referrals.

Are you into tech in the UK? I would appreciate your thoughts on this.

Am very grateful to you guys

Your candid advise is needed.

His wife got a job in the UK which pays her about £30,000/ annum. Husband will be going with the wife along with thier 3months old baby as a dependent. How do you think this man can cope nursing thier baby for God knows how long before he gets something doing.

On a second thought he will rather let the wife go while he stays back with the baby in Nigeria managing his business. He's not doing do bad in Nigeria.

My people what's the best option he should take that would favour him and his family?.

TravelCandid Advise For A Website Designer by IkpemhiTG(op): 10:33am On Jun 27, 2023
Greetings to the house...I need some thoughts about what an about to do now please.
I have got an opportunity to relocate with my wife and a two months old baby to the UK courtesy of my wife job offer as a paramedic in the UK.

I don't really know much on survival techniques for a family man. Am not doing bad in Nigeria with my skill though but I use to hear people say there are better opportunity overseas generally.

Is this relocation worth it..how safe is my family life? What are the job hazrads to beware of as regards to my wife job.

My wife thinks we can rely on her job for the main time while I go in search of opportunities for my skills in the UK. But her salary is just £27k per annum. Her job location is London.

How do we manage with our baby...Too many stuff in my head I just need someone experience to talk to me .Thanks
