Afam4eva: The Lagos state governments must think Nigerians are 1diots. If they were reuniting these people with their families, did these people as for it? And why were those that were supposedly reunited with their families unhappy about the event and gave account of how they were arrested and bundled by the task force. In my 27 years as a human being, i've never seen a government that lies the way the Lagos state government does. They lie with blatant shamelessness. Onlytruth: I shall keep advising Ndigbo to NEVER react to a provocation the way the provocateur expected. This is one weakness we have as a people and I keep seeing it repeated over and over again, with some of our people advising us to keep making the same mistake.
I cannot recall the number of times we were manipulated out of our locations in various parts of Nigeria, and all we did was to pack and go "home", when in fact we shouldn't. I insist that our smartest response should be the opposite, because maybe, just maybe our enemies will die of heart attack when they see that they failed to achieve their main objective.

The smartest Igbo response to this is for our governors to continue developing the East at the pace they are doing, and for our people to stay put (at least for now) in Lagos and such other places.
We must choose when to react -THEY MUST NEVER CHOOSE FOR US.

PointB: I didn't know the erudite prof, and Nobel Laureate in English Literature needs an interpreter to help him communicate in English. One of the basic tenets of public speaking is to know the audience, and communicate to them at their level. If Soyinka doesn't understand this simple trick then in which way is he better than Patrick obahiagbon whose people deemed not fit enough to represent them at that national assembly because of his unreasonable verbosity?

In anycase, let the twist and turns continue, intelligent Nigerians have heard enough of his rant to know that the Prof stoop low from his usually high pedestal to engage in mudslinging, not with the Presidency, but with the President wife's and the dwellers of the 'Delta swamp' . That is the perception that will last a very long time.
