BusinessRe: What Differentiates Islamic Banking From Other Banks In Nigeria. by IleIfe2(m): 9:22am On Mar 17, 2012
Abbilink: Islamic bank are bank that neither charge nor paid interest unlike other banks, also they invest mostly by engaging in trade and industy, either directly or in partnership and shared profits with their deposits
They don't charge interest on loans but an agreement has to reached on how to share profit made from a business venture, that's after paying off the initial loan taken. Now, conventional banks posses and sell off the collateral given when a customer fails to service his debt, even after renegotiating his debt settlement with the bank. I see no difference between the two systems.

Savings account in islamic banks don't pay interest and the highest i'v seen them pay for fixed deposit account is 3%.

In countries e.g (Malaysia) where muslims in a particular race or tribe command more political power because their ancestors were the first to arrive there, you'll have to recite the quran to get credit cards or loan from islamic banks, interestingly these banks are financially bailed out by the government almost on a yearly basis(discreetly). i'm not impressed and i'm sure millions of Nigerians out there aren't as well. undecided

IslamWhy Do Muslim Dominated Countries Discrminate Against Their Minorities by IleIfe2(op): 10:54am On Feb 05, 2012
Most people must have observed that Muslim dominated countries systematically discriminate against minorities in such countries. the government in most of these countries even sponsor terrorist groups in other countries and they also arm militant and paramilitary groups within their own country to perpetuate racial hatred and cause fear among the non-muslims. These groups enjoy subtle and blatant support among fellow muslims. As a non-muslim, that has good job or business, steady income and a "perfect comfortable life". How do you protect and defend your believe and freedom? do employ the islamic tactic or you just wait till you are consumed? As we all know if don't bother them they will bother because they believe they occupy the moral high ground. What do you do, these groups are committed to this cause 24/7 of their lives.

PoliticsRe: A 16 Year Old's Solution To Nigeria's Electoral Problems by IleIfe2(m): 6:13pm On Apr 29, 2011
When Obasanjo tried to introduce the national id card. Afolayan took the money and died an buhari aggressively lobbied against it convincing northern leaders that the northern population fallacy will be discovered.its a nice idea because if we have a national id our mobile sim cards will be registered with our national id number and other biometric data.and it will also assist police investigation alot more things. undecided
