AKURE — BARING any last minute change, no fewer than 10 Commissioners and Special Advisers in the Ondo State Executive Council will dump the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; Labour Party LP; Social Democratic Party, SDP. Vanguard reliably gathered that the commissioners, as a prelude, will contest the party’s ticket for the National Assembly seat next year and if deprived will take the plunge.

In his reaction to the rumour from New York on phone today, the Deputy Governor said “I have not resigned. I have no reason whatsoever to resign or jump ship from a government that is both responsive and performing optimally, while giving practical meaning to democratic dividends for the people of Akwa Ibom. I cannot, and will not jump ship”
(v) To that extent, he has called on Akwa Ibom people, both at home and in the Diaspora, as well as the PDP family in the state to remain resolute and committed to support the Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, to take Akwa Ibom to the next level.

In a dramatic u-turn four Personal Aides to the Senate Minority Leader and Senator representing Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District have tendered their resignation letters.
Their position was disclosed during a meeting of Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District in Abak.

Led by Barr. Utibe Nwoko, Senior Legislative Aide, they dissociated themselves from any planned defection of the Senator to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and pledged their unalloyed support to the reelection of Governor Udom Emmanuel in 2019.
