367 downloads?? 😩😩. Find time to watch them and declutter!.

My YouTube life is actually well curated lol, i devote time weekly to watch videos i "liked" during the week but i never go near that "download" button. Andriod apps are too unstable to take that risk, small shake to the cache and data of the YouTube app and you'd lose those downloads in an instant 😩.

Plus those downloads require alot of storage to function properly because of how YouTube encrypts their downloaded videos.

So my basically just like, watch and move on, although they keep recommending but i never hit that "download" button πŸ™ƒ
This could be Kanye West YouTube page. Why use Premium when you don't download

I would pick β€˜Succession over GOT’ succession as an equal masterpiece as GOT.
Both are equal masterpieces in their own different universes

Comparing Succession to GOT isn't horrifying?

You tried to make a point but then lost it.

But thanks still
Wth are you saying, who said anything about Succession and GOT, I was comparing their pilot episodes and their payoff at the end of their 1st seasons bro

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ You’re right bro. πŸ‘ŠπŸΌ I watched too because of him. I shutdown my brains before I watched. They want to make Hart a serious actor by force. Poor him.
He should stick to comedy abeg. When I was watching, i was like "bro, do something funny for God's sake πŸ˜‚, stop making that serious faceπŸ˜‚"

2001: A Space Odyssey

This is the greatest science-fiction epic ever made for its time. This is supported by those who claim to understand the complexities involved and leading up the Star Child ending. The others, like myself, find it as absorbing as watching paint dry on woodwork.

The musical background is glorious, the colors are dazzling, and there's an interesting use of HAL as a villainous computer. Beyond that, there is nothing the least bit interesting about the human characters (trite dialogue and no personality or warmth to any of the individuals), the pace is unbelievably slow (so the intellectually gifted can philosophize on the mysteries of space), and the payoff at the end leaves you either breathless with enlightenment or convinced that you have watched three hours of nothingness.

I had the same letdown feeling when I watched THE CLOCKWORK ORANGE, so your like or dislike of this movie is purely dependent on personal taste. Intellectuals will take the position that you are a mentally challenged clod if you dare disagree with their elevated opinion of the movie--so be aware that this is not conventional story-telling in any sense whatsoever and only for those who admire Stanley Kubrick's way with unlikely cinematic material.

The fact that for the 1st 25 minutes no dialogue ensued, just a bunch of chimpanzees crying for bananas or some shit is just crazy

This is a totally mid movie. The only reason I watched this to the end was because of Hart. Hat hasn't made a good movie except his standups since Fatherhood unfortunately

For those that have seen billions and Succession. How does Succession stack up against billions. I've seen billions and I think it's absolutely fantastic but the first episode of Succession didn't give me that taste. Wonder if it worth proceeding.
Comparing Billions to Succession is horrifying bro. Continue and see what the fuss is about, first episode of Succession is a little like first episode of GOT, the payoff really is greater than its beginning

That's why i put the caveat "might".

Can it win over? "Oppie", a long stretch, can it win over Killers of the flower moon? I think yes.

There was even an internal rambling of it being submitted for best original screenplay as the writers guild considers the movie as an "original" creation of and her husband but the Academy said no, that it is definitely adapted. It would have stood a better chance at the original category.

Christopher Nolan made an all timer with "Oppenheimer", the movie is far too superior in overall quality than all the movies last year. I am tipping it to get the "Big 4", the "scraps" of which one of them is Adapted screenplay should "naturally" come to "Barbie", for the sheer fact of it being the biggest box office success last year, one of the biggest pop culture influence project in recent history and most important passed a very important message albeit subtle.
Barbie should be an Original Screenplay so it'll fail

Death's Game (2023).

This is getting so much praise, but i fear it might not be enough!.

Not a fan of Kdrama or anything K for that matter, bought into the hype of this to see what the fuss was about and i was totally and completely blown away!
The writing might be the boldest, best and probably the freshest i have seen in a while, like it was actually better than what hollywood has been offering for a good number of years now, like i couldn't believe what i was watching!

A crazy Non-linear plot that the pilot looked so simple, but each unfolding episode was delicately and deliberately made that they could stand as an "anthology standalone" meanwhile they were part of the bigger plot line, like an onion, with which layer you peel, you discover you have been served a subtle clue in the preceding layer!

The production value was so high, like i couldn't believe it. Is it what you k drama people enjoy on a regular basis, or was this just a one time hit? Because it looks like K drama has my attention now because i think they totally have something for me!

Who noticed the clock counting down as the guy passed through each death? small easter egg.

100% worth the hype

This topic makes me think of how crazy it'll be to adapt Grand Theft Auto; it would make money but it'll flop so hard in reviews imo giving the fact that Grand Theft doesn't have a single storyline plus it is already real life in so many people's opinion

Yes it's a bigger industry but it's not a trillion dollar industry.
And we're talking about video game adaptations for movies and TV shows. The genre is still predominantly a high risk one and only started making inroads in profitability and/or success from 2022.

Video game adaptations were largely known as ultimate flops for decades. To the point of the industry coining a phenomenon for it β€” " the Videogame Curse".

Still, even the positives in the last year, it's nowhere near CBMs.
YOu're right, although I meant to say games in general.
The bolded made me remember the Live Adaptation of Death Note grin
But what do you think will be the hardest video game to adapt

The album was in my Spotify wrap for last year lol. My lullaby even till this day. So so good.

But Hans Zimmer na still their father lol. I have this Hans Zimmer "Live in Prague" concert that he played out his all timer scores, from "The Lion king score" to the Gladiator score to the Rain Man score to the interstellar score. 4 hours of sublime goodness 😩😩.

Hans is so so versatile, this man can score even a "rom com" 😩.
It was the album that prompted me to listen to almost every John Williams, Ramin Djawadi & Zimmer scores on Spotify.
But in my opinion, John Williams is still the best of all times. The 'Hedwig's THeme + The Jurassic Park + E.T is just too awesome to ignore

"The thing isn't can you read music, it is can you hear it."
"Can you hear the Music, Robert?"

As a lover of film music, I must say the Oppenheimer score might possibly be the best piece of film music i have heard in a long while without any shadow of doubt 😩.

Every note, every key totally in sync with the particular scene, like the score is so so"deliberate" that hearing the score, you can "hear" the particular scene it was "played", naaah Ludwig GΓΆransson made magic with this.

I saw clips of the Live orchestra of the Score with the actual movie playing in the background and i am like damn, White people really do know how to enjoy themselves 😩😩.

Good luck to any film music/score trying to compete with it this award season πŸ™πŸΏ.

A timeless....timeless piece of film music...Up there with the greats 🌱

You're definitely a Barbie ass grabberπŸ˜‚. Original Song is not a serious award bro, Just a 3 minutes song in a 2 hours movie can't be taken to seriously compared to Score or the Big'uns like director and the rest

Yes, the true story as bizarre as it sounds would had definitely made a better movie.

I don't know if you followed the Golden Globe? I feel that is a true reflection of how the Oscars is going to go..."Oppie" will sweep the main categories, while the other movies will fight it out for the scraps. Best actor, Best Picture, Best Director, Best score, Best sound editing is totally off the table for other movies imo...Oppie is far too strong and clearly in the lead in those categories.
I won't be surprised if Barbie doesn't win anything. Heard Oppie will fight it out for Score πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ against who?? Boy and the Heron? πŸ˜‚. I just recently watched the Oppenheimer Opera Concert and being a fan of opera, I can genuinely say it's the hardest form of music to be played, any simple mistake can cost the entire performance worthless

We've not had a year like 2019 in recent times.
Both critically, quantity and quality of top films as well as great to massive box office.

2019 had a total domestic gross of $11bn. Hollywood ain't achieved that since the pandemic.
A perfect example of an overblown balloon and a massive burst.

Lol, no even mention Barry Keoghan near this guy. That performance na Best Actor and no be mates with this gee at all!! Even Jacob Elordi gave a more believable performance as supporting actor than the over hyped Charles Melton. Many don't want to say it but all I see making this Charles Melton stuff be an overblown issue is cos he's Asian and there's hardly any Asian representation in the SAG Awards with PAST LIVES getting ignored also. It's just politically motivated.

How you take watch The Iron Claw?? 🧐🧐
Exactly πŸ˜‚, that's the reason why I trust the SAG than the Oscars.

Please let the producers recoup their investment first na. Haba. The movie is not up to a month old. Since you don't want to pay to watch, the decent thing will be to allow those who spent millions recoup their money before we proceed to pirate their hard work.

Let us learn to do the right thing.
Tbf, I don't blame Nigerians not going to cinemas. One- there aren't a lot of cinemas, you'ld sometimes have to travel long distances just to watch a movie that you may not even be comfortable watching because sometimes it's noisy, stinky and stuffy, why stress yourself doing stressful stuff when you could just watch the same movie in the comfort of your home illegal or not.
It was when I got out of the country I realised pirating movies was a big deal- most Nigerians don't even know that. Can't imagine i'ld love movies if not for our beloved pirates
