oyaskii: For a film franchise that was so successful and still a tad popular till this day, i am still struggling to see the point of this reboot, if they are just gonna do almost 100%, the exact same thing the film did? Like what actually is the point of this series? or maybe i am having a "reboot fatigue" as not many remake has landed successfully in recent times. The first four films were extremely done, so if they had rebooted the later films, then that would have made a whole lot of sense to me.
Well, there are media that i am genuinely excited about, coming out this year, and this ain't one of them... clapping for you guys, excited about it from the sidelines tho.
That BG score bangs tho, so it seems Hans Zimmer has cooked, if for anything, i am excited for that 👍🏿. I totally hear you on the "reboot fatigue"—Hollywood definitely loves a copy-paste lately. But that’s the thing: if this were just a remake of the movies, I’d be right there with you. It would be pointless! But as a massive HP book nerd, I’m telling you, this is the restoration we’ve been waiting for. The movies were basically the "Greatest Hits" version, but they had to cut so much because of two-hour runtimes and 2000s tech. This isn't a reboot of the films; it’s finally a proper, page-to-screen adaptation of the books as an original series. Think about it—we’re going from a 2-hour rush to 10+ hours per book. We’re finally getting the thousands of scenes and characters that were left on the cutting room floor. And like Variety mentioned, we’re actually going to see the stuff the books only talked about—full backstories for Dumbledore, Nicolas Flamel, Hagrid, and Draco. We’re finally getting the "Director’s Cut" of the entire universe! It’s exactly like the Robert Pattinson and Heath Ledger situation. Everyone asked "Why another Batman?" until they saw it was a deeper, completely different take. This is a chance to move past the 2001 limitations and see the scale of the magic done right. I’m clearing my schedule and watching with zero bias—it’s gonna be legendary. Mark my words! |

I don't understand why people were hating on this show and calling it woke. It is not woke the only thing they actually hate is Black Snape |

abduleez1: Lol, you say wetin? Na Gothic horror you say no be horror. You peeps should get this, horror genre is wide AF.
It doesn't mean because it's not gory, supernatural scary, the usual jump scares and all doesn't mean it's not scary. There's also psychological horror without these shït but messes with you mentally without needing the usual tropes.
Next we'll hear Wednesday isn't horror, just cause it's not scary? Some projects are not meant to scare you one bit. Go and watch The Lightroom and come back later. It's horror but it's the psychological one. You might even get bored to sleep if you didn't know what you're expecting. That's why I said in my opinion 😂 I don't find anything horrific in the movie |

The Great Ascent: Zion Luke Redefines Afrogospel Zion Luke has officially arrived, and he’s bringing a new sound to the sanctuary. His debut project, The Great Ascent, is a masterclass in "Cinematic Afropop"—blending the rhythmic pulse of Lagos with orchestral majesty. The Standout Tracks * Golden Mercy: This is the heart of the album. Marrying virtuoso acoustic guitar with staccato cinematic violins, it’s a sophisticated "Highlife" anthem that feels like sunshine. It’s a rare track that works as well in the car as it does in a prayer room. * The Overflow: A spiritual journey in four minutes. Starting as a high-energy celebration, it transitions into a raw, breathtaking worship moment. The switch from a heavy beat to intimate, stripped-back vocals proves Zion Luke is more than a singer—he’s a modern psalmist. The Verdict The Great Ascent is a bold, 10/10 debut. Zion Luke isn't just making music; he’s creating an atmosphere. BlackManta: I don't like Netflix because they are anti-cinema.
But I would rather see them take over Warner Bros than Paramount.
The guy that runs Paramount, that Ellison boy. He's inexperienced and he doesn't know the first thing about running a massive billion dollar entertainment company.
What has he achieved since he bought Paramount with his daddy's money?
And Paramount is a small fish o.
If he cannot do something good with small fish Paramount, what makes him think he can handle a mega fish like Warner Bros? Do you actually know what that means for the entertainment for Netflix to own WB?! Just because you think the CEO is green 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ |

DieRich5: I won’t be surprised if the budget is very high and 70% is going into the cast so far. Not true, 60% of the cast are taking pay cuts just so they can star in a Nolan movie bruhh. Nolan uses most his production budgets for sets, locations and real visual effects no cgi |

oyaskii: Yeah..."The Electric State" is 14% on RT, she isn't a very good actress tbh 😭...apart from ST, na slop full her resume. Her agent isn't to blame here tbh, the talent isn't all that so make she just dey flex ST royalty cheques and her Iyàwó lifestyle dey go.. Are you sure you're actually talking about Milly Bobby Brown 😏, you can say her movies are ass but she's definitely a good actor. Stranger things is a great example of that 🤷🏾♂️ |

Raalsalghul: For some reason, I'm not hyped for this movie.
Maybe because of my knowledge of history and all the images shown so far shows that this film is focused on entertainment than historical accuracy especially in the costuming.
This just gives another "This is Sparta-300" vibes. Did you just compare a Nolan movie to Snyder slop fest 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ wtf is wrong with you
I understand the need for profitability, however I also wish some authenticity comes with it.
Surely there should be a way to achieve both. |

I am calling it now, that some of those 12 people are spies from the hive mind. The hive aren't foolish, they are good at deceit. Somehow I'd love to be one of the 12 😂 I don't know what her deal is - she wants everyone to be as miserable as she is. Also the synopsis of the series does not do justice to itself at all |

It's one of those shows that you want to see the end, you can't wait for the next episode. I love it.
A question though, how did it spread so fast? Did they spray something in the air or what? Cos it happened all at once in every place. What is due to the trails they saw on the night of the event of what? Exactly bro! There are literally a lot of answers and questions to collect mahnn! 😭 Because the cause of it all is not quite clear 🫢 |

pu7pl3: I just watched the first 2 episodes of PlurIbus, omo it's worth the hype most definitely.
Cc. Oyaskii Bro just thinking about the show's potential is kinda insane. The amount of character development we are about to get from the six people will be insane. I'm sure probably everyone could just die. Rhea Seehorn has already killed at least 20 million people in the space of 2 episodes 😂😂 insane!! |
