you guys have the dumbest ideas. How in the fcking world will they make any of the three MAIN characters something they're not in the books. If you know anything about screenwriting, you'd know they can't change any character traits of main characters except it's reviving a show and not rebooting it. The three characters will be exactly how they are in the books or they'll be mildly their traits or over-the-top with their traits, they can't be something else.
Plus I have said this already- the show-runner, directors and writers of the show are not new young folks who want to be too creative - it's HBO!!! not Netflix. this directors are the best in the business. I'm more optimistic than pessimistic, it's Warner Bros we're talking about here not Disney

The movies were not bad - but if you were to compare it to the books - then they're bad. But if they are going to follow the same plot points as the books and be faithful to the adaptations it will definitely be a great show no matter the casting. You should know that the show would do justice to Harry Potter than the movie because they've a lot more time to do that

An issue a number of us had with the movies were how shallow they were when compared with the books.

Even with Deathly Hallows split into two parts, it still felt a bit incomplete.

While I'm optimistic about the cast so far, except for Snape, if the series is a lot more detailed than the movies, then it's job well done

fantastic beasts is a spin-off prequel to the Harry Potter and it’s a great movies and we the fans love it……so yes any prequel or sequel will definitely be successful but not a remake of the original “first greatest”

This new Harry Potter is a reboot not a different story and we all watched the old casts when they were kids to adulthood for years so how will this new casts do justice to the same like able characters?

Now as a big fans of Harry Potter it’s will be very hard for us to love the remake.

i'm probably the biggest hp fan in my mind and as someone who reads the books yearly - the movies did not do total justice to the books at all and their are a lot of stuff hp fans would love to see visually. So you can be skeptical but u dont need to pass justice or judgement on it before it even starts filming so calm down - this is the same response when planet of the apes and star trek as rebooted but it turned out to even be better

Movies I watched this week
Final Destination series - 8/10
When you actually understand what the movies mean - you'd just enjoy it turning your brain another brain off movie for me is
Minecraft - 11/10 - I watched this with some kids and I was just laughing and entertaining myself just looking at the kids being happy and the absurdity of the movie - the actors were so bad - the script was probably the worst of the year but nonetheless watching the movie with kids around you makes it fun to watch
Lilo & Stitch - 7/10 - The adaptation is better than the original imo

Superman 20 mins test screening - 10/10 - probably they put the best part of the movie but not to spoil anything -it is actually great. This was the part of The skin headed guy entering Superman's lair and trapping him in a cage - heroine infested action! I FCKING CANT WAIT!!

How to train your dragon preview - 10/10 - I'm sorry their're so many ten over tens but the adaptation is a way better movie and I can't even believe I'm saying this!

I actually stopped watching since eps 3 - there're a lot of great tv to watch than to waste your time watching boring shit - reason is The Last of Us Part 2 game was already great storytelling for me- the TV show is just too bad that it'll affect the nice memory i have of the franchise

The way Marvel is marketing "Thunderbolt"* (2025) is so so aggressively good, this movie promo is literally everywhere you look..I seriously rate the workrate, ngl 👍🏿.... That's how you push your big blockbuster!, and i do hope the final box office numbers massively favours them.
