Stay safe people. This episode is no joke and our government, both Federal and State, haven't the least resources it takes, whether financial, medical or intellectual, to stop the pandemic from becoming a catastrophe. [/s] thanks love |

Ever heard of false flag operations?

Everything else is targeted at killing or making iboes less competitive.
Just look what a major tribe has reduced itself to. What a crying shame. [/s] trash |

Presidential address did not stop 7,000 infections and 135 deaths in the US
Practice good hygiene, wash your dirty hand and practice social isolation to protect yourself and your family.
Take personal responsibility instead of lamenting over presidential address as if your life depends on it. [/s] |

[s] voltron14: You know many Nigerians are unwilling to hear the truth.
Under the previous government electricity was privatised. Unfortunately, it was sold to fly-by-night businessmen who had no interest in improving on power but seeing it as an opportunity to make money forever, even without effort.
Since these deals are legally binding, the government of the day cannot break such a stranglehold.
In any case, we are an extremely poor nation, and seeking quick fixes are unachievable. We do not have the local capacity to build cables or any form of components to make power generation a local game.
Government has recently sought the support of Siemens and we can only support them to achieve, rather than castigate, impugn and sabotage.
Often times, I wonder if Nigeeians truly seek a solution to their predicament. [/s] |

But don't be offended, I learn better with very simple language. I'm still seeing the expressions I don't understand in the explanation.
However, the last statement of the second portion almost rang a bell, but I don't want to assume.
That is; the Legislative arm of the govt can legislate on one of the lists. Which of them?
And what exactly does that mean in layman's language? As in the meaning of "legislating on them".
Thanks in anticipation of the explanation. [/s] |

[s] voltron14: Unlike many, I don't do such conspiracies.
There is no government that does that, none whatsoever.
There are many positives from all governments in Nigeria but I insist, the Nigerians are too unimaginative to embrace the opportunities.
Even this thread speaks volume.
Notice how, as soon as I made it an economic discourse, the early dimwits abandoned the thread?
That is typical.
As soon as it requires effort and persistence many flee. [/s] |

Also, which one be Concurrent List?

[s] voltron14: B
We are not doing even close to enough.
Less than 1% of the population involved in a trade that brings in less than 2% of the total GDP isn't the yardstick you wish to measure with.
The common man should be in tangible production, be it of bathroom slippers or zippers.
The cost of labour is extremely low in Nigeria, which in itself should drive productivity as a significant factor of production but it doesn't.
We must produce.
Produce or perish. [/s] |

[s] voltron14: Let me tell you something.
When Abacha was president, Nigeria was under a choke hold, there was no electricity just like today but that was the period in which the Nigerian home video industry (Nollywood) became an African brand.
What of the Afro music that has gone global today, when did it germinate? Same time as when Abacha was in power.
That is the kind of creativity we need in all spheres.
Today, we are talking of Coronavirus, how many protective Hazmat suits are being built in Nigeria?
How many masks are being built?
How many of the clothes in your closet are made in Nigeria?
Honestly, we lack productivity and it stems with the populace. [/s] |
Politics › Re: Oil Price Sinks To Lowest Level In 16 Years by iLoveOmenka: 2:49am On Mar 19, 2020 |
[s] voltron14: Spare me that.
What percentage of the population are achievers?
Haven't you heard about 14 Nigerians arrested for fraud in the USA, just this week? That is not wholly representative of us, neither are these hardworking people you are referring to.
Yes, we are capable of learning but learning isn't invention, neither is it productivity.
Productivity is desire and application, what you find the Indians doing.
We as a nation are unproductive and I can't reiterate this enough.
We need to realise this.
Quickly. [/s] |

I continue with my premise, Nigerians are unproductive and uninventive people.
Whatever shade you wish to colour it by, 60 years of nationhood underlines this fact.
