The Nigerian factor should not create a defeatist mindset in a whole tribe. A defeatist mindset doesn't solve anything. Again, like i said, if the current Navy chief from Enugu had a defeatist mindset, he would not be there when the opportunity was presented. Nobody will call him from the farm, bank, shop or factory to come and head the military. The more people that come in, the harder it becomes for those factors to keep thriving.
i remember a time a couple of years ago when majority of Nigerian Christians had the mindset of having nothing to do with politics. Thank God, that has changed much. Hoping the elders and elites in the SEast can do same plainly without victimhood.

What i noticed in my little experience is that igbos have no external enemies. Igbos are found, and live comfortably and thriving in every part of Nigeria. If they had enemies, they would not. People don't buy their lives from their enemies, do they? All over Nigeria, people buy food, medicine, spare parts and other life dependent goods from igbos and live with and marry igbos. On the other hand, igbos intentionally inject hatred for others in themselves. They are hostile to other tribes and religions in the SEast much more than others. Make marriage, and establishment by others extremely hard compared to other regions, have this needlessly irritating competition with others, especially the SWest, and wear a PTSD victimhood garb around. Seems the enemy of the igbos are the igbos.

Army chief Alexander Odeareduo Ogomudia was from South South. Andrew Azazi was also from the South South. Azubuike Ihejirika was from South East, Abia state. If they all had this your defeatist mindset, they'll not be there when the opportunity came.

Of course, there's the Nigerian factor. We've seen cases where people are not qualified or disqualified, and people from other states who are "qualified" somehow fill up the slots.

My friend biafran civilians fought that war and they did far better on the battlefield than the Nigerian troops, biafrans lacked food, weapons even boots to wear , while Nigerian troops had everything in excess from food, weapons, heavy artilery mortars, rocket launchers. Federal character is for fairness and equity in the distribution of public posts. Are you naive to think that there's fairness and equity in distribution? Don't you know the power and equality in numbers? Do you think that in Nigeria, they'll employ the same number of people for those that came with 500 and those with 5000? When the candidates are asked to make simple decisions, who do you think will be favored. Just for example, candidates should decide when or where to have an activity, or who will be the rep, or everyone sit in a place to be addressed.
