Chienex24: Seems kidnapping has been in the south east from the time Peter obi was governor, so it is nothing new. And aside the unknown gunmen causing mayhem there, every other part of the country is safe and the current government is doing very well... Bravo👍🏽 Thank you my dear, remind them to stop making us think it's new na. |

Kobojunkie: The man was a well-known political power even at the time. So, attempts to whitewash his image to make him seem as though he was not politically involved at the time are deceitful at best. Adeboye has been a powerful member of the political cabal in Nigeria for a long time now. Lolz at political power. So every well respected person is a political power. |

Kobojunkie: Signing a petition against the government is in itself a protest against the government.
Many of the stories of what happened around that period seem to have been removed from the internet, as I am yet to find other reports from around the same time surrounding the events around and after the particular one I posted. Kind of seems some effort has been made to remove quite a lot of the reports by Nigerian Newspapers around that time that include reference to Adeboye and his church. I am not surprised though!
Even Nairaland seems to have wiped its archives clean on so many of the mentions. So you're saying that a protest didn't happen but a petition? A petition is a formal request, usually signed by one or more people, asking an authority, organization, or government to take a specific action. For example, people may sign a petition asking a school to change a policy. A protest is an action or demonstration expressing opposition or disagreement with something. It can include marches, rallies, picketing, boycotts, or other public expressions of dissent. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Is Your Name Written In The Book Of Life? by Image123(m): 8:43pm On Jun 02 |
MaxInDHouse: God's will from the beginning is found in this statement:
“Be fruitful and become many, fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving on the earth.” Genesis 1:28
After Satan introduced greed by telling the first couple that they can become Gods on their own {Genesis 3:5} most humans followed that idea and the first human king called Nimrod was used by Satan to make all the people stay in one geographic location {Genesis 11:4} so they won't fulfill God's purpose for the earth so God sent angels to confuse their language {Genesis 11:6-7} that is what led to their scattering all over the earth {Genesis 11:8-9} but Satan succeeded in making people fight for territories. Genesis 14:1-10
God promised to unite faithful people throughout the earth and make them one big and happy family of peace loving worshipers {Isaiah 2:2-4; Micah 4:1-3} and He promised to make them speak the same language of peace {Zephaniah 3:9} under one King who is Christ Jesus the Prince of Peace! Isaiah 9:6-7
So Christianity is to gather faithful people throughout the earth by calling one another and discussing about the things leading to fighting and killing among ourselves which is racism and politics that is what Jesus taught his disciples never to think of revenge because that is what Satan is using to promote hatred among people! Matthew 5:43-48; 18:22
Satan hates to see this work because so he tried to stop Jesus by offering him all the kingdoms of the world {Luke 4:5-7} Satan knew that Jesus can't succeed among disobedient humans and Jesus himself knew that it's only when he's surrounded by people who see him as Lord and King that what he wants to do could be achieved and the only way to achieve that is by sticking to his God and father with whom all things are possible! Matthew 19:26
So Jesus successfully established the Christian faith and gradually they started following him. Peter later asked Jesus what true Christians will gain for following Jesus {Matthew 19:27} Jesus promised them that as his closest confidants they will rule with him but as for Christians we will have countless family members. Matthew 19:28-29
Today that is God's will for people throughout the world to become one spiritual family but then Satan the ruler of darkness {John 14:30} has kept billions in the dark {2Corinthians 4:4} making them to feel they are fighting for their right whereas they are just killing one another for nothing {Revelation 6:3-4} by the time Jesus comes to start his government anyone that refuses to surrender to Jesus' rulership will be exterminated! Luke 19:27
So Christianity was established to gather obedient, faithful and loyal individuals as if we are ONE family! John 13 :34-35; 17:22
This is what no fake religion can achieve!🙂 Okay, so it should gather us as one. Can we be gathered as one in a different denomination apart from yours? |

Christianity Etc › Re: Is Your Name Written In The Book Of Life? by Image123(m): 7:24pm On Jun 02 |
MaxInDHouse: NO! Only Jesus who is God's only begotten Son knows how we can do this rightly that is why he told his disciples saying:
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ Matthew 7:21-23 NIV
There is something to be achieved with this mouth to mouth discussion so Jesus will acknowledge only those achieving it as his friends. So if a religious group is not doing it the way Jesus established they can't produce the FRUIT expected of those who are doing it correctly. Matthew 7:16-18 Many individuals will become popular and great using Jesus name and many will follow them {Matthew 24:11} thinking they are doing what Jesus requested but then they will not produce the FRUIT expected of true believers in Christ! So to be on a safer side we need to know what true Christianity supposed to achieve among those discussing with each other about the righteousness of God! Malachi 3:16 i see, so what is true Christianity supposed to achieve among those discussing with each other about the righteousness of God? |

SoliBayNG: Let me educate you. The entire facebook team, all those that started in the early days are all worth 100s of millions of dollars. Even the guy that painted was offered stock options, and is extremely wealthy today. Go and read about the Paypal mafia. They were members of staff for the most part, they are all billionaires today.
In Nigeria, you had the Jumia mafia, where a lot of them raised cash from working, started new projects before going through VCs.
The igbo apprentince system, what is that?
I made my first million as a staff in ncc/etisalat. The funds raised is what i used to start my ventures.
My dad worked in oil and gas all his life, and didnt too badly, with several properties in multiple states. That was an employee.
Are CEOs and managers not employees?
Your MTN Nigeria, 659 people earn at least 2.4m per month, over 84% of all MTN staff earn more than ₦1 million per month. Are they ghosts?
Being an employee isn't the problem, infact, it is even better in the sense of cashflow security, than having an SME in a country that a greater proportion fail in the first 3 years.
The problem is what you do with your income and steps you take to get your money to work for you. A salary gives you a steady income where you can actually plan.
There are lands in Lugbe, Abuja that were selling for 750k to 2.5m in 2020. Today, some of those people are exiting by selling the same lands for 11 to 25m. That is an example of how wealth is created, and employees can achieve exponential growth
So yes, if you have a decent job and have a plan, you can be extremely wealthy, if that is your goal. Thank you for education me, i could have died you know? Can i get my certificate please? |

Penguin2: Forget Cho Cho Cho …
You constantly issued statements against Jonathan; asking him to resign.
You protested against Buhari.
Why have you suddenly gone mute now?
Whitlow hold you for mouth? Show proof of this constantly that you referring to. Everyone tried to wake sleeping Jo because he was so clueless and even denying insecurity. It was so bad that i think for the first and probably only time, even the usually silent Deeper Life church spoke up. We recall vividly what we faced even to enter church or bank that time. Everything came to a halt. Public gathering was a thing of fear and prayers. Bus parks were target practice for bombs. But RCCG never went on a civil disobedience kind of protest you're alluding to or hoping for. Nowhere was grounded to a halt. They simply pleaded with GEJ to look into it. And they were pals with GEJ BTW. He was going there and kneeling for prayers every other year. There was no hostility between the two. Bringing this and fPMB time up confirmed what we've been saying here, insecurity, kidnapping, terrorism are not new in Nigeria. |

We said this here several times but agenda must agend. They went on a prayer walk against insecurity. It's not like there was civil disobedience or that they grinded the country to a halt or something. Similarly today, churches are still praying against insecurity. Adeboye still talks about how people are suffering if you care to listen to him or attend their programmes. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2010/10/kidnapping-rccg-petitions-jonathan-to-stage-one-million-man-protest/In 2010, na still beg and prayers them beg sleeping GEJ. Some ignorant ones asking him to storm the streets and make Tinubu resign know that they can't win elections. They've always looked for backdoor way to disturb the legitimate government. They've called military, coup, death, Putin, Trump hoping someone should truncate our democracy. Calling pa Adeboye to come and save them says a lot about their despair, desperation and lack of intelligence. Pa Adeboye, please pray for them Sir.
