LoLz. You know it sounds silly to put it that way so you try to pivot in an effort to cover up the glaring plot hole.

BTW where does it say he was coming quickly/soon/suddenly the first time around?

Dey dribble your shadow dey go. Bwahahahahahaha!
Be objective and reasonable, please. We are discussing Bible, not your resume. So at least, respect those that understand it, or you could just go off to the beer parlour to have a laugh at your understanding. What sounds silly is you giving the Bible your own idea of a timeframe when prophecy must be fulfilled. This is why i pointed you to the fact that the prophecy of the 1st coming took 4000years to be fulfilled. No plot hole anywhere except what you have assumed for yourself. Enoch lived since Genesis 5, and he was said to prophecy about the coming judgement which is still after Christ's second coming. According to the Bible for those that understand it, the prophecy of Enoch is still at least 1000 years away from today.
Jud 1:14  And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

It is not news but a common thing for Bible prophecies to take "long" to be fulfilled. It's long to you, but not to God, before whom 1000 years is said to be as one day. Of course, you don't want to understand these things and i understand that, but don't make a fit of yourself in the process.
The same Bible says to wait patiently for His coming. What is the need to wait patiently if He's coming in your estimation of 'quickly'? i say it again, it's your right and choice to pick that word of all the different meanings it can have. Many church people pick the same 'quickly' and it's fine. But don't come to whine and force laughs when you have no intention to reason. If you are not ready to wait and would rather insist Jesus must come 'quickly', you are free to petition the UN or Supreme Court if you please. i only showed the confusion you have.

LordReed:
Guy if you like dribble your shadow from morning till night it will not translate to greater than 2000years. How do you patiently wait for something that will not happen even after you are dead for thousands of years? Why deceive yourself like this?

So when Christians are waiting for the Jesus to come in his kingdom its a light show they are waiting to see? Please guy this your comedy wan burst my chest with laughter. Bwahahahahahaha!
i feel your emptiness, like i said, we've been there.
Like i said, from the Greek language, the word in which the original book was written "tachu" (ταχύ) has different words to interprete it to. It goes more consistently with suddenly/without warning which other verses(which i have shown) support. But again, for the umpteenth time, like i have stated, if you want to choose quickly/soon, no problem. It's not my headache that you are confused. i am not, and those that say Jesus is coming soon are not complaining. If you choose to believe that as dribbling, great. Feel dribbled.

Rev 22:7 KJV Behold, I come ταχύ: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. cool

Rev 22:7 KJV Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

Rev 22:7 KJV Behold, I come soon: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

Rev 22:7 KJV Behold, I come suddenly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

On the second matter, i will not further comment as you seem not to have an idea what the kingdom of God means. Enjoy the confusion, like i said earlier, it's common knowledge. You would have been taught in Winners when you were serious, perhaps you were absent or sleeping in church then. i have been discussing the Bible for some decades, and it's only ignorant people that ask questions or are confused on this, the clarification is pretty, usually straightforward and staring you in the face. cheesy cheesy cheesy

So now quickly means greater than 2000years in Greek? LMAO. Bros this your comedy suppose win award.

You are the one telling us kingdom of God means a light show na. Bwahahahahahaha!
No, the Greek word used can be translated in different words, like quickly, or soon, or suddenly. Nothing comic about it, be objective. You have Google and AI to assist you confirm.
i showed you other scriptures that said to patiently wait. Let's pretend you didn't see it at first as it doesn't agend your agenda.

i am not telling us what the kingdom of God means, the Bible is telling us. It's funny because you seem to have some definition of yours different from Peter's or mine. When Christians seek first the kingdom of God as commanded, do they first get your definition, and then other things are added?

Stop being disingenous. The Son of Man coming in his kingdom is well known to refer to the second coming of Christ.

The transfiguation did not show a "coming" (he was right there) and also did not show a "kingdom"
Okay sir.

You dont even know your scripture.

Its Matthew 16:28 - "Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”

Also Mark 9:1 and Luke 9:27.

And how is "the Son of Man coming in his kingdom" now the transfiguration?
You'll need to ask Peter, or teach him since you know scripture better. Those of us who study, profit from and believe in it seem to understand it that way.

More comedy. What is written in your Bible is soon but I am the one in a rush. Bwahahahahahaha!

You are the people shouting upandan that Jesus is coming soon and making predictions on what day yet I am the one in a rush. Comedy upon comedy. LMAO.

And some more comedy, it says "till they see the kingdom of God" but yeah sure some magic lights is the kingdom. Bwahahahahahaha!
1. The Bible is not written in English, in the English translations, we have the word "quickly", not soon. The same Greek word can read "suddenly" which is more contextual. But like i already said, we that are waiting for Hima are patiently doing so. So bear with us, that's our style over here.

Rom_8:25  But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Heb_12:1  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Jas_5:7  Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

The same Bible that says "quickly" also says we should be patient for it. Anyways, agenda must agend, no other source of joy for you but to lolz curiously. i understand, we were there before we found Jesus.

2. What is the kingdom of God since you know it more than Peter or me. You seem to have a totally different idea, so kindly share.

Christianity EtcRe: Prophetic Intelligence Briefing: Antichristus has been born; is now teenager. by Image123(m): 10:44am On Sep 08, 2025
LordReed:
Was the word soon purportedly used by anyone other than Jesus? No. Did anyone other than Jesus purportedly say some people currently seeing him will not die before they see him come again in glory? No.

So 1990+years later you are still waiting for an obviously failed prophecy and you are saying I am rushing. LoLz. Nice comedy skit bro. Bwahahahahahahahaha!
You refer to these verse(s)
Rev 22:7  Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
Rev 22:12  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Rev 22:20  He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

The original Greek word you used there can be rendered as quickly like most versions do, or soon, like you said. It may also be rendered as by surprise, or suddenly. Jesus is going to come by surprise or suddenly, like a thief in the night(some other passage says). But if we want to stick with soon, like many of us christians also do, it is no problem. It is our wait, not yours. Exercise patience like we do. The first coming took over 4000 years, why are you in a rush to label the second a failure when you have just spent some few decades on earth? Lol. You are so eager to see Him come yet you don't believe, it's hilarious.
As to your second question, here is what the scriptures said. It's usually the ignorant asking this, i thought you'd already been taught this in church. It must have been taught in Winners when you were serious, maybe you skipped church or came late that day. The transfiguration happened about a week after, what are you still looking for, lolz?
Luk 9:27  But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

Luk 9:28  And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
Luk 9:31  Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
Luk 9:32  But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.

2Pe 1:16  For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
2Pe 1:17  For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

I can bet you anything that this will not happen. Neither a dead and gone Jesus will come back, nor will any "anti-Christ" be revealed. It will be the same as all the other times for the last 1990+years anybody has come out and said the same thing and they all failed including Jesus himself according to what he purportedly said.
Eerm, it took Jesus about 4000 years from Adam after He was promised to come bruise the head of the serpent. Roughly 700 years from Isaiah's popular prophecy. Na you dey in a rush to see who you no believe.

If the congregation can't afford yet, let them also joyfully enjoy God and fellowship with what is affordable. Avoid carnality and unreasonable competition in all.

PoliticsPeter Obi Is A Man Of Grace – Lessons For Us All by Image123(op): 11:21am On Sep 06, 2025
PETER OBI IS A MAN OF GRACE – LESSONS FOR US ALL

I mean, it’s not difficult to see why people followed and still hold fast to the ideals of Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

The master visioneer was centuries ahead of his generation, and the very earth bore witness to his forward-thinking, innovative, and inspirational leadership. His countless records of “firsts” stand today like immortal statues testifying to his futuristic idealism.

Again, it’s not difficult to understand why people admire, and multitudes follow, our President, Asiwaju I mean, his strides in Lagos - either as Governor or as mentor to successive leaders of the state - are etched on the city’s skyline and engraved in its story.

Peter Obi, however, in my reckoning, is the first failure in the history of our polity to command such a vast and devoted following. Agree with me or not, that in itself is a peculiar kind of grace. And there are lessons in it for all of us - the art of being a leader with a sea of followers, yet without the tide of accomplishments to justify the attraction.

Let’s be real: not many of us can be Awolowo - the first African leader to prove by action, not rhetoric, that social welfare policies like free education, healthcare, and infrastructure were possible on this continent if resources were managed with prudence.

Not many of us can be Asiwaju who inherited Lagos in a state of disrepair but transformed it into Nigeria’s model of subnational governance. Who, as opposition leader, shattered one-party dominance. And who, as President, has taken bold, historic reforms whose ripples will reshape Nigeria’s economy and governance for generations.

But to be Peter Obi? That is convenient. You don’t have to do much. Just sit back and watch your state ascend into the inglorious throne of poverty capital - 54% poverty rate. Imagine: out of every 10 Anambrans under Obi’s misgovernance, nearly 6 languished in abject poverty, while while 3 of the remaining 4 survived on relatives sweating it out in Lagos.

To be Peter Obi is no rocket science. Just play demi-god - a trenches despot - by suspending the grassroots arm of democracy in your state.
Deny the people local government, their closest arm of governance. No elections at that level until you were already on your way out.

Then sit idle as doctors, teachers, and essential workers declare nearly a year-long strike, voicing their despair at your ineptitude.
Sit idly while doctors, teachers, and essential workers declare a year-long strike, expressing frustration at your ineptitude.

The result? Untold tragedy: patients plunged into sorrow, classrooms silenced, families broken - lives suffocated by the apathy of their own leader.
What else do you need to be Peter Obi? Simply watch as the capital of your state, the heartbeat of your government, sinks into the tentacles of decay. A supposed capital city struggling in vain to compete with Odogunyan, a distant suburb of Lagos.

But here lies the mystery, the peculiar grace that crowns Peter Obi. Any Yoruba man with such a dossier of failure would never dare step forward for the presidency. He would be summoned by the elders, counselled to retreat quietly, to save himself and his lineage from disgrace.

But Peter? He strides out boldly, cloaked in failure, yet adored by followers who mistake shadows for light. That is the grace he has, and that you lack - the grace to fail spectacularly and yet command worship.

And I confess, I envy that grace. To be celebrated while doing little - or nothing!
