LordReed:See the mirror Rom_1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; |
LordReed:Be objective and reasonable, please. We are discussing Bible, not your resume. So at least, respect those that understand it, or you could just go off to the beer parlour to have a laugh at your understanding. What sounds silly is you giving the Bible your own idea of a timeframe when prophecy must be fulfilled. This is why i pointed you to the fact that the prophecy of the 1st coming took 4000years to be fulfilled. No plot hole anywhere except what you have assumed for yourself. Enoch lived since Genesis 5, and he was said to prophecy about the coming judgement which is still after Christ's second coming. According to the Bible for those that understand it, the prophecy of Enoch is still at least 1000 years away from today. Jud 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, It is not news but a common thing for Bible prophecies to take "long" to be fulfilled. It's long to you, but not to God, before whom 1000 years is said to be as one day. Of course, you don't want to understand these things and i understand that, but don't make a fit of yourself in the process. The same Bible says to wait patiently for His coming. What is the need to wait patiently if He's coming in your estimation of 'quickly'? i say it again, it's your right and choice to pick that word of all the different meanings it can have. Many church people pick the same 'quickly' and it's fine. But don't come to whine and force laughs when you have no intention to reason. If you are not ready to wait and would rather insist Jesus must come 'quickly', you are free to petition the UN or Supreme Court if you please. i only showed the confusion you have. |
DeepSight:Of you, yes. Of the gospel, no. |
LordReed:Eerrmmm, He came 4000years after the first promise in Genesis 3, nothing new. Na you dey rush. |
LordReed:i feel your emptiness, like i said, we've been there. Like i said, from the Greek language, the word in which the original book was written "tachu" (ταχύ) has different words to interprete it to. It goes more consistently with suddenly/without warning which other verses(which i have shown) support. But again, for the umpteenth time, like i have stated, if you want to choose quickly/soon, no problem. It's not my headache that you are confused. i am not, and those that say Jesus is coming soon are not complaining. If you choose to believe that as dribbling, great. Feel dribbled. Rev 22:7 KJV Behold, I come ταχύ: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. ![]() Rev 22:7 KJV Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. Rev 22:7 KJV Behold, I come soon: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. Rev 22:7 KJV Behold, I come suddenly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. On the second matter, i will not further comment as you seem not to have an idea what the kingdom of God means. Enjoy the confusion, like i said earlier, it's common knowledge. You would have been taught in Winners when you were serious, perhaps you were absent or sleeping in church then. i have been discussing the Bible for some decades, and it's only ignorant people that ask questions or are confused on this, the clarification is pretty, usually straightforward and staring you in the face. ![]() |
LordReed:No, the Greek word used can be translated in different words, like quickly, or soon, or suddenly. Nothing comic about it, be objective. You have Google and AI to assist you confirm. i showed you other scriptures that said to patiently wait. Let's pretend you didn't see it at first as it doesn't agend your agenda. i am not telling us what the kingdom of God means, the Bible is telling us. It's funny because you seem to have some definition of yours different from Peter's or mine. When Christians seek first the kingdom of God as commanded, do they first get your definition, and then other things are added? |
Up Lagos. Another country inside Nigeria. The Jagaban legacy literally. |
Lolz, the funny thing is always how this fellow gets thrown under the bus anytime he says anything against Obi. It seems APC/FG just dey get Sowore time after all these years. They usually ignore him like he doesn't exist—so embarrassing. For those wondering, i guess it's because of the just functional cybersecurity laws in Nigeria. They want to worry Sowore small. Nothing much i think. He actually loves and lives for this type of trouble. |
DeepSight:Okay sir. |
DeepSight:You'll need to ask Peter, or teach him since you know scripture better. Those of us who study, profit from and believe in it seem to understand it that way. |
LordReed:1. The Bible is not written in English, in the English translations, we have the word "quickly", not soon. The same Greek word can read "suddenly" which is more contextual. But like i already said, we that are waiting for Hima are patiently doing so. So bear with us, that's our style over here. Rom_8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Heb_12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Jas_5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. The same Bible that says "quickly" also says we should be patient for it. Anyways, agenda must agend, no other source of joy for you but to lolz curiously. i understand, we were there before we found Jesus. 2. What is the kingdom of God since you know it more than Peter or me. You seem to have a totally different idea, so kindly share. |
With all her gragra,Natasha didn't give one shred of evidence? Her suspension should be extended in my opinion. We did not miss her distractions. |
LordReed:You refer to these verse(s) Rev 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Rev 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The original Greek word you used there can be rendered as quickly like most versions do, or soon, like you said. It may also be rendered as by surprise, or suddenly. Jesus is going to come by surprise or suddenly, like a thief in the night(some other passage says). But if we want to stick with soon, like many of us christians also do, it is no problem. It is our wait, not yours. Exercise patience like we do. The first coming took over 4000 years, why are you in a rush to label the second a failure when you have just spent some few decades on earth? Lol. You are so eager to see Him come yet you don't believe, it's hilarious. As to your second question, here is what the scriptures said. It's usually the ignorant asking this, i thought you'd already been taught this in church. It must have been taught in Winners when you were serious, maybe you skipped church or came late that day. The transfiguration happened about a week after, what are you still looking for, lolz? Luk 9:27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God. Luk 9:28 And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray. Luk 9:31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem. Luk 9:32 But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him. 2Pe 1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 2Pe 1:17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. |
Lolz, i see how these two guys tried grasping hard at silly stories and left the substance. One almost started a dissertation, SMH. We all really know what we're doing. |
LordReed:Eerm, it took Jesus about 4000 years from Adam after He was promised to come bruise the head of the serpent. Roughly 700 years from Isaiah's popular prophecy. Na you dey in a rush to see who you no believe. |
anonimi:i don't understand this crave for my attention, get a partner dear. Buhari was right to say folks like you are lazy. He didn't do it to get asylum, did he? |
Lolz, they are part of those shouting online that Nigeria is very dangerous place to be a Christian. They spoil Nigeria outside to cash out. |
Where were family and friends when God asked them to give their all and only Adeboye and his wife obeyed, looking like fools then? We can’t overlook the sacrifice and dedication of pastor Adeboye also. It's a two way handshake. |
i don't know why our government sometimes gives answers and concerns to what is not. Another unfortunate thing is that these people who are not very reasonable suddenly get appointments on the table ahead of the more reasonable and consistent ones. Na so life be everywhere sha. ![]() |
Is poverty a virtue? No. If any organization can afford better things, by all means. Go ahead. Why seat in luxury at home, and on stools in God's house? Can you compare the banks, roads and technologies we had then to now? No. Change is permanent. If the congregation can't afford yet, let them also joyfully enjoy God and fellowship with what is affordable. Avoid carnality and unreasonable competition in all. |
Where's our new Dubai, Burkina Faso? Is it in second batch sir? List wey Rwanda wey we just beat now now dey inside? That one na oturugbeke list jhor. List wey get Malawi, Uganda, Cameroon ahead of Nigeria na list? Who wants to go to any of those places? Who will leave our bad government for these good governments? Or its just mouth and vibes online? |
goslowgoslow:It's rather unfortunate and unbecoming. |
See how people that are not from Lagos will moan and gnash teeth in severe pain here. Miracles do happen. |
No need to cry so hard na. The OP shows link, go and cry there. |
phorget:The school should have cleaners and gardeners paid to do this. |
Dbegining:Do you know the meaning of propaganda at all or you just usually see the word online and decided to use it today? |
Persecution is a solid part of the Christian faith. Wisdom is also another solid part of the faith. Sorry about your loss. Hopefully, heaven's gain. |
i laughed so much reading this piece. Obi really carry soap.

PETER OBI IS A MAN OF GRACE – LESSONS FOR US ALL I mean, it’s not difficult to see why people followed and still hold fast to the ideals of Chief Obafemi Awolowo.https://x.com/LegendaryJoe/status/1964033145197429037?t=wHehVhIJhetL5i1A9MAfTQ&s=19

DeepSight:My life transcends politics. The beauty of democracy is the ability to support who you want and majority carry the votes while everyone remains on course for the betterment of the country without bile or snide thoughts. God sparing our lives, Nigeria is in for a good ride and none of your favorites will be at the helm of it. It's as clear as noonday. |
