The Zodiac has nothin to do with the spiritual unless u want it to.

They are as a result of productive* researches and surveys conducted... not unproductive sentimentality and superstition.

@franktalk1, you have say it all,it's left for forumite to pick sth from it.what has worked for me all these years is i am never emotional attached to any stock of whatsoever be it a fundamental stock or not. So i take all stocks as a trade nothing more! And if i buy a stock with the hope that it will deliver based on some insightful facts but if turns d other way i will quickly push it out with no hesitation after perusing the unfavourable negative trend signal.An example is this,i have been watching Sterling bank to buy all this while at #2.20 but i kept seeing the stock getting stucked at #2.34 which was d new support and moving always moving to #2.55/#2.64.Well i bought at #2.32 eventually only waiting to book profit at #2.47(15kobo gain- that's almost 7% ) but to my surprise i was able to see that d sentiment had changed to negative then i instantly sold it at #2.35 so with this i can lose small insignificant change while still under morgan capital firm.

Pls, tell us when you loss also, not only JIJO gain
my losses are just too insignificant to the extent that it give no evidence of loss on my balance , I will say I drew with d market than to lose money and when I hit,I hit much.

The bull is here to stay whether you like it or not, there are so many economic reasons; 1 crude oil increasing. 2 if Goodluck wins the economy is ok and if Buhari wins the Economy is still ok for investors. so no more panic
pls don't be overtly optimistic about market instead be guided by possible reality from all angles of macro-economic and political parameters.

FCMB is currently trading at 2.02.
I am watching this bank to get lower very well if it want to so as to create a trading margin to profit from that's why i liked skye that i was fortunate to buy at #1.70 and sold yesterday at 1.99.

Something tells me the bull will not last till Friday. Oando might drop tomorrow.
There is an almost a reality that by Friday even from tomorrow profit taking would be more pronounced! but whichever way we must be smart in our decision by stick to what worked for each trader/investor.

@Mr Immanuello; Your NEM is delivering o cheesy I hear NEM is a trader's delight. I hope you have not booked profit at 4% again? grin grin

@Cuteboy; Feeling your analysis backed picks cool
yeah,nem is a traders' delight and that is why i often watchout for it when people are taking profit frm it so as to cheaply come in at a rock bottom price.So why will i jump out now,i will jump out at 59kobo because that is its established resistant line while d support is at 51/52kobo.

On FBHN: Sure, I know about their Petroleum sector exposure, but most of it is for upstream oil business which is more robust and sustainable business, than the many fly-by-night briefcase fuel importers. Exposure to downstream is well within thier risk capability - just a few of the good things Sanusi Lamido put in place as Head of Risk at FBN, before moving to CBN.

Compare their petroleum portfolio to that of the likes of Unity Bank (mostly product importers). They had to take newspaper adverts to beg their debtors to come and settle. The big boys among, also took their own full page adverts telling Unity to go to the moon, that it is actually the bank that owes them grin grin grin. They also called their SANs to dust up their briefs.

The difference between FBN and the likes of Unity is the strength and size of the balance sheet, and how much shock they can take without going under. Remember during the early days of telecom sector privatization, FBN financed IIL purchase of Nitel. The deal went sour, and FBN took a massive hit. Then Bernard Longe was the MD. It cost him his career. The financial world was amazed at how quickly FBN shook off that lose in a few quarters and still declared profit and dividend. Smaller banks would not have survived the IIL fiasco.

UBA is OK oooooo. I like their spin offs even better, UBA Cap and Afriprudential Registrars, since these businesses are pure play, and balance sheets are more transparent. And, off course, they have excellent dividend yield even at 2013/2014 prices. So also Skye bank @ N2. Just depends on your investment strategy and time frame.

Diamond is an excellent pick @N3.6. When it recovers, it must chase N12. Div policy & yield history also excellent.
But there is this one vague fact that diamond don't have track record of paying dividend consistently irrespective of What net profit they made.So in this time,those hoping diamond must pay,diamond may not pay at all or pay unattractive dividend.When it comes to consistent dividend payment for banks,they are Gtb, Zenith and Fbnh.

cuteboy2 must be a personality who has been on this platform for long but just changed his moniker.I liked the way you nailed all those salient fact out.

well what i observed is,the foreign investors are now coming in after their market over there has reached peak and its seems correction is needed as even the Greece fall may quickly bring and having peep at our bourse they saw massive cheapness and this is what made them to make a come back inspite of the tension in our political space and devaluation noise of our currency. At this point,they believed the election would go smoothly on March 28 and the market has taken into consideration of the noise of our currency unstableness and heated polity and these would be the comfortable fact they are finding their way into our Bourne again.But will happened to our bourse should election being posted for rumoured six months again and possibility of naira being floated naturally at #270 at bdc cum blackmart. Here is my own humble opinion can any help me in clarifying these chaotic perspective thought of mine.Thanks.

I shook my head for these people supporting this oloriburuku gej govt that want to turn Nigeria into what was experienced in Rwanda /somalia. But what still pained me most are the brainbirds that keep seeing nothing wrong in his doing.let be united and stand for the good of this great country, stop partisanship politics let be truthful and intelligent to detect those using whims and caprices to mar this great federation unity,progress and great governance.

@lancee,thank you, i appreciate!
@cutesboy2, thank you as well but kudos to you for taking your valuable time to give that out.Well,i can honestly tell you that i perfectly understand both the fundamental and market humano-sentiment that is build into each petroleum stocks listed on the bourse either from the down-stream to mid-stream or to the up stream where each plies their trade but one certain thing just want to take advantage of,is the market psychology which at times look stupid fundamentally but portend an avenue to make some smart gains and this led me to oando per say.
@rebekah2011
well its nothing fantastic about transcorp but its one of those stocks posited as trader delight,nothing more.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by immanuello(m): 1:49pm On Feb 17, 2015
Hello house,does it still make sense to buy ubcap at #1.36 and does still make sense to buy transcorp@2.55 having missed #2.26 of yesterday and going by d fact that this mini-bull can last till Friday and d possibility of catapulting stocks like transportation to say #2.90 already,ubcap to atleast #1.45,gtb to perhaps #21 and oando to #17.so what do u all think,i can do now, on stocks like oando @14,gtb@18.87,transcorp@2.55,ubcap@1.36 as i write,thanks as i awaits.

He is afraid of bear, hence buying at final bus stop price.
Well thank you all for ur responses across the board.Well,reason for buying the said "iron" is
cos of strong possibility of d iron bouncing back again faster and the erasing of loosing money since one got in at nominal value.Those gold you talked about is still uncomfortable for me to buy now because of deepest fear of market player which may take their prices down to an unfathomable price.so iron is better for now until the bear give a strong idea of abating!

please to all the political observers in the house ,we need your candid opinion on the possible reality to nigerian election day "March 28".what can we infer from the body language of the current incumbent govt and his cronies as well.Dont we consider it highly possible that a body may just be used to truncate this election or call for another poll shift so as to buy-up time to hand over to programmed interim govt to take the reign of power from the embattled sitting govt.

My brother, fear of raging bear is the beginning of wisdom as along as the NSE is concerned. I don't blame him though, all man dey save their neck..cheesy
sincerely its so serious,a man should just calm down and watch to know how to make a one-chance outwitting of mr market and jump out the train after smacking mr market and keep planning on how to hit mr market again and take to my heel again.This play of mine is valid till March 20 and by march 20,i must stop investing on the nigerian bourse because of possibility of inflamation in Nigeria as a result of election not being allowed to be held and possibility of the current power occupier handing over to an interim govt cos of danger they felt would befall on them should buhari get the seat of power.This is just my own thought because i see desperation to hold on to power to save that frog-eyed diezani who has fed herself to stuppor from our national wealth she superintends.
