Why should we buy now that it has not reach your #2:11k recommendation, abi u don change benchmark?

Well my benchmark for Afriprud is N1:48k take it or leave it.
Hian jeez, lols! your frugality or ijebulogy dismisses mine.

If u like dont buy it when it get lower perhaps by next week if election aftermath would be peaceful and no interim national govt been surprisingly imposed on us.Then that will be the best time to buy afriprudential because b4 you open your gaze on it, that resilient stock might be #2.90 atleast. So why wont a trader buy in at say #2-#2.15.This is just my only humble opinion. Do your DD!

For now i don port out of nse for now as the bear made me vomit some of my gains. Okay, let good stocks go down, starting from Gtb@new low expectation of #12.57,zenith@9.87,Nem @0.50,Aiico@0.55,custodian @#1.65,skyebank @#1.20,diamond @2,sterling @1,fcmb@1.30,fbnh@4, uba@1.25,ubcap @0.80 perhaps in the midst of political tension if either gej or buhari wins.I think i would need to keep my money under my great grand mother cementary, not bank o.Hmmmm who know what will happen should buhari win or even badluckjonathan, i wasn't born in 1983 when political crisis erupted nigerian society and i knew nix in 1993,so it likely situation bcom tense because of this PDP unsportmanship manner should they lose or the..........if buhari wins.

90% of stocks on the nse are likely goldmines in 5 yrs. All market economists, local and international, are bullish on Nigeria long term. I hv a gut feeling of 100% iei upside in 5 months. All that is needed is one positive quarterly result.
I don't accept your opinion, pls desist frm living in illusion. Ask from unitybank illusionist of yester-times especially on smn.Well that only my own advice.

With 21kobo for third quarter and a possible 27-29kobo full year dividend and a possibility of 10-12kobo dividend. To me as a value investor, this stock is still hyped /overpriced cos of future projection stories which were sold into mr market mind-library and let see the coming to reality of these unproved fictional headline tony mafian sold to players. Well may the best poker trader wins!!!!

Hmmm, nothing surprising, its just the way we all know it would be. i had one time say it here that a possibility of 10-15kobo maybe paid cos i objectively couldn't see how they could make much this year 2014.But i just couldn't believed my eye when it rose from #1.51 to #1.73 when i expected a correction from #1.51 back to #1.32 but some people have forgotten that the way afriprudential made her money is quite different from ubcap and they had an edge as seen from their quarterly result of 2014.Well ubcap may now be on its way to perhaps #1.26 and even bcom lower if first quarter result is damn poor which may be poss except they have gotten a new way to survive or boycott lower earnings avenue and has switch to a more profitable alternative like the way some two banks did by leaving the interest bearing asset which the "cost of fund" and tighten terrain had made them make flat profit or loss and channel their strength to non- interest segment where they hit huge.

Moneysage:
@immanuello: I wish I was privy to NEM's impending corporate plans. That said, the coy doesn't fit my investment philosophy, though it may do well for short-termers.

In the short term, with or without reference to the stock's valuation metrics, an upside of 20% is attainable. But a pull back to 0.60 may precede the bull run, especially in view of looming economic events. And this correlates, however imperfectly, with the current accumulation the stock is experiencing and with Myjoy08's response.

Sir, what I can vividly say is that some moneybags are looking at the sides of Nem which represents a buying opportunities.
I noticed that too, same way they raised aiico to unprecedented level of 95kobo.But i wanna use the gift of mc to get huge lower during the low ebb period of the trading day.If nem can surprise players and pay atleast 10kobo for a stock trading at almost 70kobo that huge crunchy cornflakes of atleast 10%.Let see what becomes of nem of eps 40kobo selling at 67kobo to one continsure having almost yearly full eps of 18kobo out of which 10kobo is often paid and the firms sell her stock at almost 80-90kobo range since many years.Bad ethics shabby corporate governance has priced down nem after custodian 3rd eps is 40kobo if i right by fact though custodian has a strong posssibility of moving forward massively while maybe a doubt.Sir,myjoy08 pls help me confirm custodian eps for third quarter and full year guidance.

please what is really going to happen in Nem pls as third quarter eps seems 40kobo if i'm not mistaken so what is the expectations of markets players. Can Nem pay atleast 10kobo or do their usual management chopping and coming under disguise of negative earnings that will make the retarded pay paltry 6kobo.

Kagame:
GTB and Zenith are the two Nigerian banks with a huge capacity for growth in the short term and maybe long term. They are adequately capitalized (Tier 1) and very efficient. Their good tier 1 capital standing gives them enough head room for loan book expansion without falling below the minimum CAR required for SIBs.

FBNH is groaning under its own weight ; Inadequate shareholders fund in relation to its huge deposit liabilities and risk assets. I wont be surprised if they slow down loan growth in 2015 while retaining a good measure of profits in 2015 to give them enough headroom for future growth. They can also look inwards by improving their efficiency as their topline for 2014 was quite impressive.

At the moment, GTB ,Zenith are the clear market leaders.
The recent performance put up by these two banks made be jettison all my doubts and fears about their "going concern".if they could performed for year 2014 then what else they hv d best mgt team and are still the trailblazers and benchmarks of nigerian banking space.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by immanuello(m): 1:46pm On Mar 08, 2015
@Sir kagame,
i could see some good cautious points in your post that's why i believed fidelity, uba, access bank, diamond, skyebnk, are banks to trade with caution when it comes to dividend expectation though they are good for capital appreciation if they are massively beaten down and that what we are seeing now.
My only generous when it come to dividend are these two banks;gtb and zenith.
For stanbic the final dividend is next to pittance while interim has been good of result. For Eti,they are currently having over 300kobo eps at third q, but they are so unchanging when it comes to paying good, they may still pay the usual 4cents.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by immanuello(m): 1:27pm On Mar 08, 2015
Dear forumites;pls do anyone has vital info to know if dangote sugar stand a chance of equaling last year dividend of 60kobo as when it made #1.13 as a against likely possibility of not able to achieve such this year as it third quarter eps stand at 76kobo and what maybe likely dividend this time around and how had dangote sugar year end result been in the time past, was it always a positive/marginal or negative result.Thanks.
Secondly, how as nascon last quarter result being! and based on 59kobo third quarter eps which is a decline to last year 3rd quarter result and from this current realities they may not pay 90kobo as they did last year but i think they may pay between 55kobo-70kobo.

upl@66kobo at 3rd quarter and likely negative fourth quarter result may take eps to 56kobo and i think 30kobo is still certain.
fbnh@#1.70 as its eps while last year end eps was #2.16 n so this year let see.......
transcorp@21kobo + fourth quarter (+/-)=likely dividend of 11/12kobo.p/e of 12.76(hgjgff)

For me, I'll pick Fidelity, FCMB and Skye ahead of FBNH at current prices. I expect a better price performance from them than FBNH.
I think there is a bank though it a mid-tier bank, they have the same model of operation with gtb, though i called this bank "little Gtbank "this is the fourth year i have been looking at this bank interms of it mode of operation and financial even results has often been OK.This bank has 37kobo as at third quarter and i want to believe by the year end we should see at worst 42kobo and if this bank pay the 37% of this dividend that will be 15kobo which is ~7%.So i will like to buy into this because this is a bnk i trust after gtb,Zen,fcmb, diamond, eti, and stanbic.

Hmmm...... well to me, the benchmarking banks did well considering the terrain they are, they almost made #100bn profit, thanks to non-interest arm and efficient cost control engineering and good risk management.
The dividends are not bad atleast to appeal the market players,i am expecting fbnh to pay according to what it has capacity to pay not paying what they couldn't afford just because the " Nigerian benchmarks"paid splendid dividend and it also want to follow suit. well i am expecting nothing than 60-80kobo range as fbnh dividend except incredible result comes out.

i am expecting 12kobo from fidelity.

Pls what is pushing bank stocks?
in fact,i am shocked but i just believed that by the time flat result of gtb and zenith hit market this may stop to allow the moneybag to come in.Expect marginal and flat result from banking stocks expecially by march 27.But the reason for this bull is the damn cheapness of our stocks and too pricey nature of american equities that has little or no much move to do while the smart look elsewhere for capital gains they peep into our bourse and you know they keep pumping money in

@zogieosagie
I have checked the "NSE Ticker" App on iTunes and it seems that the App was developed or financed by yourself ( since it has your name there).

It is a bit insincere and disingenuous of you to suggest that the App belongs to the NSE. You could have honestly stated that you had a financial interest in the App and ask people here to review it (assuming they wanted to commit themselves financially to purchase the App). Don't hide your innovation, let's celebrate your App...but it seems you got someone to develop the App for you which is also worth celebrating as an Entreprenuer.
please,do quickly put this on android open source platform pls. For all of us on android platform, let us feel it use too. Thanks Sir osagie!
