Gbadugbakun: No it's you who is twisting and refusing to understand me.
You don't challenge a statement when someone uses the term "I stand to be corrected" because by using that term he has made it clear that he could be wrong. So what exactly are you challenging? "I stand to be corrected" means that the speaker's claim can be challenged. So, why are you against those challenging the man's claim? |

Gbadugbakun: You're the one twisting things and blatantly refusing to understand what I'm saying. You are the one twisting things here. I made it clear that I am not in support of those who are condemning the support the man gives for academic excellence. I then ask you why you are against the fact that some people challenge the man's claim. |

Gbadugbakun: No Nigerians defend their politicians and attack those who try to challenge them. A simple example is Tinubu and his supporters.
About challenging what the man said. He was talking to his members unlike Nigerian politicians who lie to the people. This man made it clear that he could be wrong. So why challenge someone who told you that he might be wrong. What's there to challenge? You are twisting things here. There are Nigerians that support bad politicians. But there are Nigerians that question everything that politicians say or do. So, why are you against the fact that some Nigerians are questioning what the pastor said? |

Gbadugbakun: Because Nairaland mods wanted to drag traffic to their site. Just like how they usually post news that would stir up tribalism. All is in a bid to bring traffic.
Did you see it trending on Twitter? It didn't trend because everyone knows that whenever you use that statement it means that you could be wrong. So why attack someone who made it clear that he might be wrong? Nigerians challenge what Nigerian politicians say. Why don't you want Nigerians to challenge what the man said? |

Gbadugbakun: This were his exact words. "I stand to be corrected, but I believe that MFM has the highest first class graduates in Nigeria" Why is this statement the headline of the news? Gbadugbakun: So why are people laying emphasis on that statement? Why are people angry. Our leaders lie to our face on a daily basis yet we don't hold them accountable. Look at PH refinery. They've been lying about it since 2020. How many people have actually held NNPC and the government on their words? People are challenging the pastor's claim the same way people challenge what the leaders (politicians) say. So, what exactly is your point? |

Truvelisback: Good day, fellas. Have you ever pondered why bankers' skins usually glows like someone from a European country? Na A.C ooo. The importance of A.C cannot be over emphasized. It would make you like one who just came from the U.S. You are wrong. Go to their houses to discover the secret. I spent at least 4 years in a university that uses only ACs (no fan) in classrooms. I used AC from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. every night in my hostel. The only time AC makes a difference on your skin is during the season that sweat (heat) doesn't allow people to sleep. As a matter of fact, how many Nigerians in Canada or America have glowing skin? |

Gbadugbakun: Is English this hard to understand?
If you tell your son or daughter he or she is the most intelligent person in Nigeria and maybe your neighbor overheard your statement and challenges you, would you answer them?
I don't think you will because your statement was meant to encourage your child to work hard. Dr Olukoya didn't make that statement in a TV studio, he didn't post it on his social media account, he made it inside his church to his members for the sole purpose of encouragement.
So why are people angry? Didn't he say that his Church has produced the highest number of first-class graduates in the country? This is a yes-or-no question. |
Romance › Re: Now I Understand Why Nigeria Cannot Be Great. by immortalcrown(m): 3:03pm On Aug 19, 2024 |
Gbadugbakun: The man didn't claim. He had over 400 first class graduates from all over the country who were present at prayer city to be celebrated. That's a fact. That's why he made that statement.
Besides he said he stands to be corrected, so why are people so angry and finding fault with his statement and ignoring the cash reward of 250k he gave to each of them. Which is meant to encourage other students to work hard. Didn't he say that his Church has produced the highest number of first-class graduates in the country? |

Gbadugbakun: I expected them to challenge it by posting more first class of other churches. No one did that, instead they were insulting him and calling him a liar. What's wrong with Africans I am not in support of those insulting the man. But those questioning how the man arrived at the figure are not wrong. |

The man himself says that he stands to be corrected. So, why are you angered by the fact that some people challenge his claim?
It is good that he supports academic excellence. But challenging his claim that his church has produced the highest number of first-class graduates in the country is not bad. Stop being sentimental here. |

The OP is talking about the mind of an average Nigerian
During the 2018 and 2022 World cup, there were some acts done by all Japanese at the end of each games and this acts drew public attention so much that many people started hailing them
Did the Government of Japan follow the citizens to sit in the spectator seats? Its wholly about what an average Japanese is capable of
Right here is about an average Nigerian. We are teribble and thats it
That aside, what if the Govt isnt even aware of this.
Or you think every area with a functional filling station has one or two people to give them that SM coverage, enough to get the Govt reaction You misunderstood the commenter. The commenter is suggesting a solution (deterrent). You are attacking him/her as if the comment is focused on the cause of the problem. The problem is already there. A solution is needed. |

Since when did childbirth in marriage become a favour by one gender to the other gender? Whoever thinks that she or he deserves to be worshipped by his or her spouse because of childbirth absolutely lacks the understanding of marriage Valoromega: She called me ungrateful, reminding me that she gave birth to our child. As for early marriage, it is the best. Wrong marriage is destructive, whether you are early or late to it. So, don't act as if late marriage guarantees any benefit. Marrying rightly and early is better than marrying rightly and late. Marrying wrongly and late is more destructive than marrying wrongly and early. As for the business, na you go open business because you get the money. You no check her business skills. Mosdiii: You ended up saying nothing. How is early marriage good when you're not mature enough to handle the pressures that comes with it. You ended up disgracing yourself. "Early" is different from "prematurely". |

deltateam: Ask yourself if immunization can revive a person? Does what you wrote even sound logical?
If she had succeeded the story would fly out that government imported vaccines from Bill Gates to kill babies and gullible Nigerians would swallow it. Is it that you don't understand simple English or is your sentiment affecting your brain negatively? Can't you understand the functions of "desperation" and "unintentionally" in my comment? Maybe she knew the baby was already dead but was desperate to try anything to possibly revive the baby. I never said that immunisation can revive a dead baby. I am just telling you what desperation can push the woman to do depending on her level of knowledge. I used "unintentionally" there to show that her attempt is definitely not to implicate the nurse but she didn't know that what she wanted would have implicated the nurse. For further clarification, I have edited my main comment by adding "ignorance" to the same sentence you misinterpret in the comment. |

deltateam: You contradict yourself. If the mother knew which I believe she does, then her actions can't be said to be unintentional. It was premeditated and callous.
If it were unintentional, why didn't she inform the nurse? She's looking for a scape goat. Her action can be unintentional in the sense that she is doing it to possibly revive the child and not to implicate the nurse. Her action would have implicated the nurse but her intention might not be to implicate the nurse. This is what I mean. |
