tundebasic: You asked for the importance of virginity, I answered. Whether it's male or female, it shouldn't really concern me. So, that question does not concern me.
I only buttressed the merits of female virginity because I just want to point out why many people stress it. You are dodging my questions. 1. Is there any importance of virginity that applies to only women? 2. As sleeping around can damage a woman's womb, can't sleeping around render a man impotent through STDs? 3. If your culture condemns women having sex before and outside marriage but allows men to have sex before and outside marriage, which women should men sleep with before and outside marriage? |

tundebasic: Did you see anywhere I wrote a man should sleep around?
I've answered your questions already (as I didn't write that a man should sleep around). Can't be going around in circles. That's why I told you the argument is baseless (because if the women are chaste, the men too will be).
Which Nigerian culture asked men to sleep with several females before marriage? If men should not sleep around, why should virginity be the weapon against women in the argument? |

Zico5: What really baffle me is the insensitivity of these people. They are calling him supreme governor, that he was install as the governor by supreme Court. Then he beat the next opponent by wide margin in the next election. Can this even happen in Osun or Oyo state. It is as if Imo indigenes were sleeping during the election. Probably they want Tinubu right from Abuja to come and make a change for them. Instead of asking themselves why they love money to the extent of allowing evil to prevail they are attacking federal government and INEC. Where is sense in this. Was the beating free and fair? |

tundebasic: I read the thread from the first page, and I see you asking the importance of virginity. I wrote why it is important for both genders, so, I wonder why you are still asking the importance for females.
But, female virginity needs to be stressed because of these reasons:
1. Women mostly bear the consequences that comes from premarital sex. 2. Men do not have uterus or fallopian tube, do they? 3. If all the women in the world are virgins, automatically, the men too will be (not adressing homo or bestiality). 4. Men can stress virginity in a lady because it is a cultural and religious requirement.
Financial responsibility is a demand for both gender, but if one of the genders can stress financial stability before marriage, then no one should blame the other gender for asking for one who still has her feminity intact. Did you not see what warrants the question from me? Also, did you not see where I said that his answer will show whether virginity applies to only women? Helath: Sleeping around can damage a man's health through contraction of STDs. Culturally: You spoke about cultural celebration of virgin women. Is there a culture that condemn male virginity? If men are culturally expected to sleep around before marriage, which women should the men sleep with? Will those men bed the single women that are expected to remain virgins until marriage? Or, will those men sleep with married women? Answer this question. Your answer will address every other thing you wrote here. |

tundebasic: While I don't have time for baseless arguments, you asked what was the importance of female virginity, I pointed them out to you. That's all, enjoy. You joined the argument without understanding its origin. First, I never asked for the importance of female virginity. What I asked for is the importance of virginity. My question here is not gender-based. There is a reason I didn't specify any gender in the question. Second, go and read the comments I exchanged with my main opponent in the argument. Then, you will understand why I asked the opponent to state the importance of virginity. You will also understand why the opponent has been dodging the question. In fact, you don't need to read the previous comments I exchanged with the main opponent. This is because I clearly explained, in my comment that you quoted, that the opponent's answer to the very question will show whether virginity applies to only women. Third, you didn't consider the argument baseless until I confronted you with facts you can't deny. Instead of you to admit that you were biased in your cultural, health and religious analysis of female virginity, you have quickly considered the argument baseless. |

tundebasic: So, what was the basis of your argument? Check my first comment on the post. My point is that virginity should be left out of the discussion because virginity does not apply to only women. We should condemn the act of women maltreating broke men. But virginity is not what we should weaponize against women in the process. |

tundebasic: I don't like discussing about this, but, the importance of virginity for women comes from cultural, religious, and health perspectives.
In terms of health: 1. You are marrying a woman with intact uterus and fallopian tube. Ones not damaged by endless abortions. 2. Hormonal imbalance is most common in women who are nonvirgins. 3. The risk of STI/STD is very low in virgins. 4. Virgins are not incurable viral disease carriers. The risk of HIV, herpes, is reduced, (even arguably, hepatitis).
Culturally: 1. The risk of children outside wedlock is reduced (Yorubas call these children bastards). 2. There is no culture that I know in Nigeria that celebrates whoreism. But in the past, our culture celebrates virgins as a sign of home training, determination, dependability, integrity, and self-respect. 3. Keeping your virginity shows that you uphold cultural values. 4. There are some African monarchs who only marry virgins even till today as a cultural tradition. 5. Children inside wedlock reduce the likelihood of occurrence of social vices, rebellion, and tuggery. 6. The risk of fathering other people's children reduces. 7. The risk of poisoning you to bury secrets reduces. 8. The risk of you hanging yourself, having a HBP or stroke after fathering other people's children reduces. 10. There will be no dick measuring contest, since your woman will be satisfied, having not tasted all the men in your community before settling with you. 11. Etc.
Religious view: 1a. This is my own perspective, but I think virginity should be the number one criteria for determining religious hypocrites. 1b. If you can keep your virginity, it'll not be too difficult to keep other commandments. 2. Women who uphold the sexual purity values are good enough to born a Messiah. Think about it. 3. For Christians, God demands virginity for both gender. It is a demand, an instruction, even a command. 4. Sexual perversion is a sin against self. The same "self" that is the temple of God. |

Did they run separate connections (wires) from electric pole(s) to their apartments after creating their own accounts? If no, how was AEDC able to separately deal with them during their tenancy of the apartments? If yes, the landlord should pay for his wickedness and carelessness because he ought to have noticed and tackled the issue when separate wires were run to those apartments. This also brings me to ask why landlords allow tenants to accumulate bills and pack out for new tenants to inherit the bills. The landlords heartlessly do so because they are not the new tenants to suffer the accumulated bills. I once rented an apartment in a new building without prepaid meters. This means that I was among the first set of tenants to live in the building. But I was not the first or even the fourth tenant to rent a space in the building. At least seven tenants have spent months in the building before I joined them. When I wanted to pack out, I told the landlord to divide the outstanding bill for me to pay my part so that my conscience would not disturb me when I leave the compound. I later packed out of the building without paying my part of the accumulated bill because the landlord didn't take my advice. I don't know if the reason he ignored my advice was because two tenants packed out before me or because he was too busy to attend to the issue. Thomas1186: As as a realtor, I manage a property of about 12 flats: 5 units of one bedroom flats and 7 units of selfcontains. The house is not metered and the landlord created a single account on his name that they were being billed on. After a few years, about three different tenants went to AEDC to open their own accounts in their names. According to them, they do not want to pay electricity bill with other tenants. In the process, they accumulated a lot of debt on their bills and later moved out one after another. AEDC is marketers who opened these accounts for them are now holding the landlord responsible to pay the accumulated bills. Now, the question is: is AEDC supposed to open different accounts for tenants without the landlord's consent? Your advice pls |
