You just described yourself here. Nobody has claimed that the guy's certificate is fake. That shows that he was actually a student of the school in question. So, how did the school generate a registration number for the student if JAMB did not give the student admission?

The news already confirms that the man died from an illness. So, what is the confusion here? Why is the caption claiming that there's a confusion here?

Okay let me paint a hypothetical situation here , assuming a student did really forge his document and takes them to the school and with the help of an insider bypasses scrutiny and the school at the end of the day says his document isn't genuine , is it the school who will provide evidence that it's fake or genuine or will it be the student ?

Your own logic is what should be questioned here. Is the university not to supposed to verify the admission before giving the student a registration number and accepting school fees and conducting exams for the student?

You're jumping the whole issue , it's not about if he wrote exams from the school or paid school to the school , JAMB is basically saying the school didn't do their due diligence , the school is supposed to get back to JAMB to verify the admission letter the guy brought to them , verification wasn't done on the guys admission letter. All of these did he get registration number or did he pay school fees is immaterial if the admission letter wasn't verified from the outset , this isn't the first time such has happened and it won't be the last , the problem most times is from the student and the institution , I had friends who had similar problems when I was graduating from U.I , every single one of them lost their case
