EreluRoz: I have even watched the video elsewhere, the lady got donations and that's her mother and she's not doing it for clout. What is Ohanenyes business, how many mentally deranged people has she taken off the street? It is not clout because the victim is the perpetrator's mother? Will you appreciate such if the sick woman is related to you? |
Health › Re: Kennedy-ohanenye Condemns Lady Filming Her Mentally Ill Mother For Content by immortalcrown(m): 7:58pm On Aug 26, 2024 |
Dear minister, what the girl allegedly did is wrong. Your offer to locate and assist the mentally-ill woman is good. But why doesn't the government act until something gets out of hands? There are old and young mentally-ill ladies almost everywhere in Nigeria. Is this minister waiting for those ladies to be filmed as contents before her office will care for those women? Is the ministry beginning to act like some Nigerian celebrities that will ignore homeless children in their streets but offer to help any homeless child that goes viral on social media? EreluRoz: This woman and clout, she should focus more on working and giving the government a good name.
All these APC (Tinubu) physically and LP(Obi) at heart people smh So, the minister is the only clout chaser here? I doubt you read the post before commenting. |

Tụfịakwa!
They say, "Women supporting women". But what I see here is women destroying women. I don't mean to insinuate that the other gender is innocent.
Many yeyebrities would have personalised this case to chase clout if the listed female traffickers were males. |

rotadeco27: I said it earlier now , people want to enjoy good life but never want to pay. When I made the analysis for some of them they agreed with me and dropped the agitation. They agitation has no significance anyway. They used to regiment our light before the migration. We need to put on generators( so much noise in the estate, about 23 flats ,each flat with it own different kinds and ages of generators) I use to burn fuel of at least 9k per week, it could be more than that at times and pay 15k for prepaid. That amount to about 55k per month excluding generator servicing, wear and tear! Yet I couldn't not provide 24hrs supply. Now with 40k per month for band A Iam enjoying 24hrs power supply. It just stoped raining here now, the light didn't blink! , before , the light will be switched off from the once is cloudy or first drop of the rain till the next day. I wonder why they are not drying the wires again The reason is simple , the complaining can Swiftly replace any damaged transformer or wires because they have more money at their disposal. I pay to enjoy the service that is how places that are working work! Your logic is like saying that those who complain about school fees hike in public schools want quality education but don't want to pay for it. Keep fooling yourself. The only set of people complaining about a electricity tariff in Nigeria before now are those who were billed on estimation. Users of prepaid metre were only complaining that power was not steady. How does steady power supply justify increasing the tariff? If the users of prepaid metre consumed only 5,000 Naira worth of unit per month because power supply was for only 6 hours per day, giving those users supply for 12 or more hours per day will mean that the users will consume up to 10,000 Naira or more while the unit price (tariff) remains the same. Stoop fooling yourself. Are you saying that the electricity distribution companies were not making profit before recent tariff increase? Are you saying that the distribution companies were recording loss until now that the tariff has been raised? It should be "Sell more to make more profits". It should not be "Using increasing supply to justify outrageous increase in unit price". Increase the unit price only when you are not making profits. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Really Possible To Forgive And Forget? Can Anyone Please Help? by immortalcrown(m): 2:53pm On Aug 26, 2024 |
Remembrance is different from vengeance.
It is good, necessary and godly to forgive.
It is bad, foolish and ungodly to forget.
Even the Bible that says God can forgive our sins does not claim that God will forget our sins. The Bible does not have a record of anyone whose sins were forgotten.
Forgetting an offense or a sin gives a room for the sin or offense to be repeated. Remembering it helps to prevent its repetition.
Feeling resentment towards a sinner/offender is a different case. That one is a temptation to retaliate. So, try to resist the temptation. The occurrence of the temptation in your mind is not a sin, fulfilling (falling into) the temptation is what makes you a sinner. |

Education › Re: FG To Enforce 18-Year Age Limit For WAEC, NECO Exams by immortalcrown(m): 12:27pm On Aug 26, 2024 |
This policy is a stupid one because WAEC and NECO exams are not only for JAMB and admission to universities. Make 18 the minimum age for JAMB and admissions, but not for WAEC and NECO exams.
If you like, write WAEC and NECO exams at the age of 14. Use the next 4 years to learn trades, basic computing, tailoring, painting or any other skill. This will shape your career and help you to make wise decisions when choosing a program to do in university at the age of 18.
One other thing that should be made illegal in this case is sending kids that are below the age of 3 to school. |

Nairaland General › Re: If You Had The Powers To Ban A Nairalander, Who Would You Ban? by immortalcrown(m): 8:14am On Aug 26, 2024 |
Block feature is inappropriate for a forum like Nairaland. Liars who don't want to be exposed and toxic people who don't want to be challenged are the ones asking for the block feature.
If you block someone, he or she can abuse you in his or her comment and you can't see the comment. You can abuse the person in your comment and he or she can't reply to it in defense. This means that lies can hardly be detected and countered on the forum. This is one of the reasons the block feature is wrong on the forum. |

rotadeco27: Which truth are u taking about? u people just like criticizing progress on baseless points. Nigeria has electricity if that Is what u want to hear. The problem is that we want to enjoy like we were in the UK but never wanted to pay as they do. Since my area has been migrated to the band A, it has been like 24/7 power supply, if they have to take it ,they would send emails to state the reasons and apologized, hardly will it be over an hour ,that was during grid collapse self. I now see the reasons why places that work are working , people pay for what they enjoy and question the authority for any shortfalls in the service they pay for. The disturbing noise of generator has gone into oblivion! Surprisingly, the people are agitating that we should be returned back to band C! Do we actually want this country to work ,we have to play our roles and not only the government. Crude oil is not only used for automobile, if e- automobile is cheaper ,why not embrace it and divert the crude oil to other industrial purposes! U think the developed countries that buy crude oil from Africa and Saudi are using it for automobile alone? Capital no! So ur points are not valid, the world is tending towards a cheap energy with less environmental pollution, like radioactive source of energy but u are castigating the government for encouraging electrical automobile!. Why are people agitating for band c? Is it because of too much energy supply or because of outrageous billing? |
Car Talk › Re: Man Celebrates As He Purchases Ogun Electronic Motorcycle (Pictures) by immortalcrown(m): 7:58am On Aug 26, 2024 |
drlateef: Your argument is wrong to some extent. The nations adopting EV have plenty of petrol. They only wanted clean energy and that’s why they are adopting EV. Nothing bad in that if we adopt the same because it ensures clean environment and atmosphere. This prevents respiratory diseases and other skin diseases. The EV are also noiseless and prevent noise pollution. Please stop turning logic on its head. Those nations improved other aspects of environmental sanitation before going for e-bikes. Those countries mastered recycling many decades ago before going for e-bikes. |
